Coleman was the man!! Great tasteing wine and good service. What more can you ask for.

Overall a fun stop. Much of the grapes for these wines were produced in Washington state and Oregon. Service left something to be desired.
Bonobo has the prettiest view/patio area of the TC wineries, in my opinion. Really appreciated their covid policies and loved being able to keep the glass with the logo!
Great experience ... wonderful setting, good wines and very great service. We loved it!
got a tour with the owner, and it was an amazing experience! We visited the whole place, got to see the machines and everything "behind the curtains"
will gladly recommend it for a little romantic getaway or between friends.
the picture to take there are amazing and the fall colors are breathtaking.
Thanks Todd for showing us your life for an hour, we had an amazing time !
Not happy with the wine choices. Only offered dry wines.
AMAZING FOOD! Jeremey is an amazing chef, never disappointed! Favorite winery on Old Mission!
Great wine. Excellent service. My wife and I love the environment. Great please to taste and relax with your favorite glass. Small plate menu pairs well with their wine selection. If you love their wines their club membership is an option with tons of value.
What is not to love. Simple wine list and all are amazing.
Awesome views and the decor is impeccable. I had the charcuterie board which was wonderful and the food I saw other people ordering looked tasty as well. I personally didn't care for any of the wine I tried. All of the wine is fairly dry and no sweet wines.
Love love this place! Such a great place to hang out and enjoy a great glass of wine!
While the winery had a limited selection the atmosphere is a cozy place to get together with friends and family for a relaxing glass of wine or two.
Stopped by in the evening & was pleasantly surprised with how cute this winery is. The views are lovely and you get to keep your wine glass. There is plenty outdoor seating. Stop by if you are checking out local winery s, you will love it!
I liked the ambience but taste testing pricing should be $5, like all the others.
Wait..... don t amy smart own this. I read that somewhere, would be great to meet her and enjoy some wine!!
This is a standard stop on my #DiscoveryMichigan #WineTours - a one day group excursion from #GrandRapids to #TraverseCity and back. Now I can add it to my #CiderTours also. The staff has always been helpful. The owners are down to earth and work hard to create a welcoming atmosphere. Todd Oosterhouse gave me a wonderful tour, including the science behind the wines. Fascinating!
The view is amazing, but could be found at multiple spots around the area. The wine list was short with five options, and the wine tasting was five options for ten dollars. You cannot wine taste outside-must drink at bar.
Atmosphere was poor in my opinion; single bathrooms had created a line and did not compare to near by winery s.
Just a average winery, a bit over priced for the wine I tasted. Server had little knowledge of the wine she served.
We held a bridal shower at Bonobo last weekend and it was a very lovely affair. The food was really superb and working with Amy Wilde was more than a pleasure. The room was absolutely gorgeous but their care, concern and interest in our success and satisfaction was over the top. Highly recommend. Thank you Amy!
Great service Coleman was outstanding. He had us try some wines outside our comfort zone which we ended up loving. Decor is great and the view has no words to describe it's beauty.
Great environment with friendly staff. They have some great wines!
Best winery in Michigan, and if you have a choice of wait staff pick Brenda, she is outstanding
2/3 of their "small plate" menu was sold out. Pretty seriously understaffed, especially considering the premium prices for their wares.
This place was just beautiful. The staff was so kind and helpful and made our time here even better. We definitely want to return!!
This winery is amazing! Had the pleasure of being served by Dominic, who was extremely knowledgeable as well as personable. Will definitely be back.
Awesome experience...we were treated like family! Good wine and amazing food!!!!Erica is so cool...Nick is an inspirational chef!
The wine was good, the service better, but the goat cheese dish was absolutely delicious!
Spectacular wine with a wonderful pino noir for those hoping for some red in Michigan. Your drawn right away to the beautiful patio with view of the bay. Stairs lead you to several more tables below for casual drinking and chatting.
We did the private tour: had on of the owners walk us through the property, fermenting room, barreling room, outside areas. As a fairly novice wine drinker I learned a lot about the process, and you get the inside scoop on some fun facts about the property and grapes! Would recommend to anyone who is interested.
Wine tasting was nice, $10 person, for 5 wines. These were 1 oz controlled pours. Personally I think it was a little pricey since most of my tastes were barely one swallow. Some got a tiny bit more than that. The reisling was my favorite of the ones we tasted.
Every time we are here we have to visit Bonobo! Stunning views and great wine. This time I did feel a tad bit unwelcome by one of the women serving wine but she seemed to warm up a little towards the end. Times are stressful with COVID so I get it. They did a fantastic job at health and safety measures can t wait to visit again soon.
We went to a dozen wineries over 3 days, this was the ONLY winery that charged $10 for a tasting (every other place was $5-7 with some offering a free glass, Leelanau was even free). The wine was not great enough for the cost, and in the end she charged us for 2 tastings when we had just shared the one.
We had a great time at Bonobo. The wine was good but not spectacular to us. The cheese board was nice. The tasting room was the best of any that we visited. It was very warm and welcoming. The day we went was cold and rainy. They had the fireplaces going with couches to sit and relax. I think we must have been there for two hours just for a tasting and cheese plate. We bought the Groupon which was a great value. They were out of souvenir glasses which was part of the Groupon. They gave us a coupon to get one later which I hope I don't lose. The service was excellent. The views are very nice. One of our favorite places that we visited. We will return.
We have visited this winery twice in the last two years, and both times have been served by the same woman, and both times the service was really bad. Not friendly at all. The wine is just okay. The only reason to visit is the beautiful view and to snap a picture if you can, but other than that I ve been really disappointed.
Thank you so much for taking such good care of my group on today's wine tour. My group loved the frozen chardonnays and they are now BDX fans! I'll be back as soon as I can... Mike- Magic Shuttle Bus
Ambiance is quiet and decor upscale, view is great (not much of lake, if that's what you're looking for), but I was disappointed in the wine. Both we tried were quite flavorless, and the staff wasn't very knowledgable when I asked questions about the wine/place. Kid-friendly wineries are a must for me, but this one is best for couples.
Love the scenery, wine selection, and charcuterie plate. The only recommendation would be to get some extra bread with your snack plate
My husband and I enjoyed this experience. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, informative and helpful. The large screen TV with the Michigan game playing was an added bonus! The view was breathtaking and next time we will try the cuisine.
If we were to complain, which we rarely do, we were served by an Ohio fan! ;)
Enjoyed the wine, decor and the views, however no social distancing or enforcement of wearing masks. Not safe for me or my children and wouldn t go back.
Super friendly staff !!! Great wine !!! We lost our wallet on the way out, came back and the beautiful hostess gave it back to us. Thank you very much again !!!
Had a great time. First time here and did a wine tasting. Cass was our bar tender and was great, very entertaining. If you are up this way, stop on in can not go wrong.
On April 27, 2019 I was part of a bus tour and Bonobo was the last winery we visited. We were all VERY disappointed at our last stop. Our group was seated together in a tasting room which we thought was very nice. We were told what we would be tasting that afternoon. EVERY vine pre-selected was dry, no variety. We did not care for any of the wines and left without making any purchases.
This was the most expensive tasting- $10, the others were $5. The other places we stopped we got to choose what we wanted to taste. We waited in line at the other stops and had a great time!
We were excited to learn about the restaurant on site from the bus driver and we changed our plans to eat after the tasting, we had lots of time to buy a glass of vine and eat, It is a beautiful place, but after the tasting none of us were inclined to pay more to taste more vines that we may not like. We decided to leave and go eat somewhere else in TC.
There were 15 ladies in our group- at the other 2 stops we had we bought at least 20 bottles of vine at each stop, we all planned on buying wine at Bonobo also, but didn't.
I hope this review changes how tastings are done for groups, most of our group wants to return to TC to do another tour, but none of us want to return to your winery.
While the front isn't spectacular, beautiful views off the back deck, excellent red wines (the only winery we visited where the reds were room temperature) especially the Bordeaux Blend and enough wine to actually taste-test. Will definitely return!
This winery has a beautiful view, good wine, and delightful small plates. However I am a little disappointed that there is only one bathroom. But the tastings offered here were pretty generous.
Absolutely stunning views !! Donna educated us about the tasty wines before we bought a glass. The fried goat cheese was super yummy!!
View is great, which is why we usually stop. Came here when they first opened thinking they would get better the longer they were open, but it has pretty much been the same everytime. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, but the wines aren't any better than any other wineries on old mission, and the prices are higher. On top of that, the seating outside is limited and is just a bunch of ragged picnic tables. It's just okay, but for the price it should be better.
Awesome atmosphere here. Nothing's better than sitting by a warm fire enjoying a glass of wine.
The dry reds are phenomenal! Great views...able to walk the vineyards. Great time!
I really enjoyed this place! The wines were right up my alley (not too sugary) and the small plates were a foodies delight (we had the fried goat cheese, chicken sliders and crab cakes they were all made to perfection). The outdoor atmosphere was relaxing with a beautiful view of the bay. Our only recommendation, while very small, would be to offer a different glass with each tasting. Other than than that, I wouldn t change a thing. I would love to visit this place once the weather cools down.
Delicious wine and a great view! Definitely one of the pricier options if you're wine tasting.
Beautifully decorated and gorgeous view. Wine is good, but the vibe was bit more uppity than I expected.
From South Carolina and always love coming to Traverse and wine tasting out of all the ones I've been to, Bonobo has definitely been my favorite. The atmosphere was amazing, great music and company. The bartender we had was Matt and he was very knowledgeable and was such a cool dude. He made the wine tasting experience great. The wine was excellent too. Their red wines are off the chain! I'm not a white wine drinker but tried a couple and thoroughly enjoyed them as well. Can't say enough good about this place! TRY IT, you won't regret it!!
We brought friends up specifically for the great wine, food, and atmosphere. Hospitality from Cass was over the top! He took good care of us and the rest of the staff was just as friendly. The wine and cider is delicious and the view is incredible.
Gorgeous views, but they were out of every wine I wanted to taste so I just had a cider sampler. It was fine, but nothing noteworthy.
Walked in and it looked amazing, there were only 6 other people in the building. There was 4 of us, 2 that just got a beer on draft, 2 of us that wanted a tasting. Our whole process took over an hour for 7 tastings. Being in the bar industry I get where something takes time, but the guy bartender only talked to one of the guests 'as she was a friend' completely ignored us. We went to other winery's in the area, where everyone got a tasting, and it took far less time. The only thing that gave this an extra star was their wines, all good and what I had hoped for. Service was what made me not want to support the business and buy a bottle to go.
Did this as part of a 4 winery wine tour. Service was great and wine was delicious. Scenery was beautiful and place was very clean and modern
Good wine, great people. Owners are CMU grads. Loved this place and will definitely be back!
This is a great place for trying wine! Nice modern appeal. I'd come back for sure.
Good wine but service is lacking. Ordered a cheese plate but wasn't all the contents on it. We weren't given plates or silverware. Had to ask for napkins. Seems like a production line. No personal sevice. We were just a number.
We love visiting Bonobo when visiting our OMP lake house. So much, that I subscribe to their newsletter which is where I learned about their "Picnic In The Vines" offering. Once a date was confirmed, we selected our menu (four items to choose from) the day before and paired it with wine when we arrived at the Winery. Amy Wilde met us, and she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. She drove the six of us in a nice golf cart to a picnic table in the middle of the vineyard where Amy set the table with our lunch -- Chicken Salad Sliders, Cheese & Charcuterie and Strawberry Rhubarb Bars -- and opened the wine. Everything was absolutely delicious and the environment magnificent. We learned that we were the first to go on Bonobo's picnic and highly recommend that everyone in the area experience this delight.
We're back, love the views, love the building and love the wine. Todd and Carter have done it right. Go sparty.
Open later than others. Modern decor. Tastings are done on point system.
Great drinks and delicious crab cakes. Wonderful views
Bonobo had a very updated atmosphere with a wonderful array of food as well as wines. Most of their wines were drier, but very good! We also ordered the charcuterie and the hummus. Both were amazing and I would definitely order again.
Food was expensive bland. I spend $80 for 4 small plates and 3 were terrible, the only good one was the asparagus. Wine was average, patio was nice though with great views.
This was by far our favorite view on our wine tour of old mission peninsula. The wine was delicious with very vibrant and exciting flavor notes, overall we loved tasting here. Even if you don't like wine you have to check this place out just for the spectacular view!
Great views! Loved the atmosphere, even despite the COVID stuff.
Open later into the evening is fantastic! Most wineries on OMP close around 5:00. We met some friends we have not hung out with for awhile. Had a few glasses of Blanc in the library. Thank you Bonobo for a very nice evening.
We had a pass for a private tasting and tour - and it was awesome. Coleman was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He's a great representative of the place.
The variety was amazing and the flavors really come through. It's a growing winery but still very personal.
Best wine and best views in Traverse City. Superior to Blackstar in every way!
We had a great experience visiting Bonobo Winery. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is fun, and the views are awesome! We did their standard wine tasting where we got to taste 6 wines and loved it. We will definitely be returning!
Awesome place to be. It has very morden feel to it. The wine selection is great, the view is great. The food is also great. You won't be disappointed with what they have to offer.
Very expensive drinks and wine. A glass was $9. The fires and atmosphere was very nice thou! They had plenty of space to spread out and great Christmas decorations.
Wine isn't great, but the building is beautiful with great views.
Views were fantastic. Pricing seemed a bit more steep than a few if the other wineries on the peninsula. Music was bumping throughout the place so if you're looking for a quieter experience this might not be the first choice.
Must visit. Beautiful views and fantastic wine and ciders. Definitely recommend the Pinot Blanc and the Juniper cider.
This winery had a great patio and space overlooking the vinyard. Got a couple of glasses of wine for a tasting, however their wines tend to be on the dryer side, not as sweet. The small plates were excellent and the perfect amount of food for a quick bite in between wine tastings.
This place is fine. The wine is average compared to anything else on the peninsula. They aren't really trying too hard to comply to COVID restrictions (this place is bananas) and no one is at the door to tell let you know what to do like the other places--seems unorganized. The view is good, that's the only reason to stop. I'd probably just skip it if you're going to several places.
We had such an amazing experience here celebrating our wedding anniversary! The tasting was so informative and accommodating and just overall felt very personalized. I was impressed with all of the varieties we tried and highly recommend the Chardonnay C . Beautiful place to relax and watch the sunset.
I got some wine samples from this place. Every wine was great! The balcony also has a wonderful view of the vines.
Pretty amazing view and helpful staff. I was about to buy a $12 glass and she offered a similar wine they had for $5. So a little small gesture like that was nice, maybe I looked like I didn't have $12 lol. Then again, maybe they were trying to get rid of something they made too much of. Either way, nice 1st experience.
