I've been here several times and the staff is friendly, funny, helpful and accomodating. If you haven't been there, or been there in a while, check it out! It has been remodeled, and is beautiful. I love the many glass enclosed study rooms, perfect for small meetings. And, no charge! Plenty of free parking, too. I love this place!
Besides the staff being friendly and super helpful, and they just made nice upgrades, it is very sad to see it is like a ZOO/ARCADE game room! So many kids playing games on the computers making all kinds of noise, running around. It is very difficult to enjoy quietness for studying or reading. Very disappointed.
This location is right down the street from my house and I always enjoy going there. The meeting rooms are quiet and great, and they always have recent releases available on the shelf instead of having to wait for your hold! The staff is friendly and they have even waived some of my late fees. Love this location!
Great place, the staff is very helpful. Go there often and have never had anything but a positive experience.
Extremely nice facility and helpful staff. I came in to get some mandatory education done for work, and use their computer. I live in Boise and work in Nampa. Now, I haven't used libraries much over the years, so I can't say exactly WHEN it changed, but this library was so different from when I was a kid and used to go more often. The difference is that it WAS SO LOUD in there! I was there for several hours trying to get my work done, and I had a hard time concentrating on some challenging subject matter.
It was so strange. Everyone was talking in normal voices, and kids were running around.
Now, I don't begrudge little children having fun, and I can understand some occasional distractions at a library. I mean, I'm not a monster, but this was FAR from the library etiquette of my youth.
Lovely facility, great resource to have in the neighborhood, but don't go there expecting to get any type of studying done. Quiet is not enforced in any way. Very strange.
Love this library! Never too busy and staff is friendly. I did pull up too close to the curb in the parking lot and scrap the bottom of my car really bad. But that's not the libraries fault. Highly recommend this library! Just be careful when parking.
If was a nice place to go, but then once when I got up to go to the bathroom a lady working there gave my computer to a kid just because his friends were next to my computer. I told her she had no right doing that especially since there were other computers she could have put him on. I left and never went back.
The librarian was awesome!! We talked about books we have in common. The Hillcrest Library branch is my favorite!!
