German styled beer bar. Great if you want to drink a large amount of beer out of a glass boot. Seating is communal which is fun.
This is a pretty fun beer hall in downtown Boulder with a good selection of beer. Have been and will continue to frequent.
If it's karaoke, it's not worth it. Used to love this place, when the German guy hosted. Now with 'big black', couldn't even sing. Was here for 3 hours, saw my friends sing 3+ times, others multiple as well, still didn't get called. If you wanna throw your name in a pile of papers that definitely don't stay in order, go right ahead. I'll stick to the attic, park centre lounge, armidas, and the like. Never again.
Everything a German palate desires. The only down side: there's no Garten to speak of.
Good beer selection and very filling food. Service can be slow if you get there at peak hours.
This is a really cool gathering place with delicious beer and a warm and inviting staff who remembers your name. Go for karaoke on Wednesdays! It's the best in Boulder
Prices are high but so are the portions. This place is pretty legit and truly unique. There is nothing really like it in Boulder County that I've been to. I like this place for just the casual drink and appetizer. Really cool joint, never been in the back but I hear they got comedy and things like that...
Great kraut and GREAT mustard great ambiance if you like German/Czech cuisine you gotta visit this restaurant.
Fun Bavarian atmosphere, good selection of imports, lively crowd... And Pilsner Urquell on draft is unbeatable!
The staff is mean and doesn t care about their customers
Super tasty food, and friendly staff, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun time.
So many great Boulder restaurants and this is one you don t want to miss. We had the chicken schnitzel, it was fantastic.
Great German beers on tap, as well as some local favorites
Make sure to get a pretzel and a full boot of beer!
The worst beer of my life. I have not yet drunk such a poorly shot Pilsen (I didn't even finish it)!
A real gem of a biergarten with real Germanic pub food which will definitely remind you of your European travels or inspire you to go! Czech ownership gives it added cred IMO.
Great beer, really good food, and great events. This is one of the only and the best small venues in Boulder for local music.
Awesome spot! Mainly lighter German beers and Czech beers than your typical bar. The kitchen changes over at 9pm to their lighter late night fare.
Fun place to meet with friend and great beer selections!
Good german and czech beer. Very good food. October fest is fun.
i was so full. this place has a nice atmosphere. like a restaurant in washington i loved.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Have throughly enjoyed every visit.
Delicious beer and food. We had a brat and the goulash and both were amazing. And a dunker of course. Setting was terrific too.
We have had a lot of fun here every time we go. Very good imported beer and food with a never-disappointing array of live music. We happened upon a real polka band once that actually had the whole place singing along to words we did not know. The long benches are fun/convivial too.
This review is purely due to poor service. Our 81 year old friend ordered a beer and the waitress brought it to him. He lightly touched her on the arm and said thank you. Minutes later the bearded bartender came over and aggressively said don t ever touch the waitress! This was extremely rude and was definitely the wrong way to approach the situation.
One of the coolest bars in boulder. Great beer selection, delicious food, and an atmosphere that never strays from the traditional biergarten theme.
Food was really flavorful, the interior is warm and cozy. We sat at the bar and the guy serving us didn't seem happy to be there. Would go back for the braised red cabbage!
Friendly helpful staff, great atmosphere, food and beer
First time here was on a Sunday about 6pm. This little establishment is not only charming it's stunning. From the rustic wood floors to the small disco ball in the attic space everything was wonderful. We arrived and had immediate seating. There was a local band doing a jam session in the dinning area which was awesome. Then the food, omg, was outrageously good. My table ended up sharing the party platter and it did not disappoint! The waitress was polite and very attentive as well.
We will be bringing our friends and family back here!
Good beer. Decent meat. Comedy on Sundays is always a blast. Lighten up.
Nice ambiance, great wine and tasty soft pretzel. The bartender was very professional.
Service was unbearably slow when we went. We had a group of 6 and there were only two other groups in the place with us, but we waited over 15 minutes after receiving our menus and the waitress never came back to our table. We even saw her stop and talk to the other two groups, seemingly ignoring us.
The atmosphere is fun but the food was less than satisfactory.
Went for the first time with my son. Service was excellent and for good old fashioned comfort food like fried chicken and mashed potatoes it was great.
Apparently their policy is to charge a person for payment and then kick them out with out a refund.
The beer was yummy, pretzels were tasty. Fun place. Our waiter was a little gruff. They brought up us tipping them largely multiple times because they have student loans. I understand there was a game on and places get busy but I just felt like it was kind of in bad taste.
If you want a lot of beer and some specialty sausage, this is the place to get it.
Great food and excellent service! I Highly recommend this place.
Really feels like a Bavarian beer hall! Plenty of German, Austrian and Czech beer on tap, with a good bar menu to get some eats. A solid happy hour spot after work, but it gets busy so come early and be ready to sit close
The food is delicious! I would recommend getting the Warsteiner Premium Dunkel.
Beer is pretty good and decent deals on boots! Dessert isn't bad...had the strudel. However, service could be better...I come from the service industry and this was pretty embarrassing all around. Went in on a Tuesday for trivia but there was a private event so no trivia that night. The table next to us ended up having their friend bring trivial pursuit from home and struck up a conversation and offered to include us in a game. The waiter, Grady, started off great but quickly went downhill. And no, it wasn't busy. Had to go to the bar to get his attention. Then at the end, even though we were not together, arrived at different times, had separate checks through the the night, we (party of three) and the table next to us (another party of three) ended up getting our bills combined and getting the 20% automatically added because of the party of 6 or more rule. When we got our combined bill and asked for our bills to be divided into the two parties he said we would need to mark everything down because he was confused what belonged to who (note, the bills were separate until the end when we each ordered a pretzel and one strudel to cap the night). We did so and I asked that he split into two. His response was, "just give me two cards." When I responded that we were separate parties and that we were each going to work out our own payment (sorry, I don't know them) he was reluctant still and asked, "why, are you leaving at different times?". For the third time I said that I don't know them or when they are leaving but we need separate checks. He finally stopped pushing and separated the checks after we spelled it out for him. However, the party of 6 or more 20% was still applied to both checks. I usually tip 20-25% but the fact that we ordered mostly beer, his service sucked, and he refused to make things right, I didn't want to leave 20%; he didn't deserve it. The fact that he would provide excuses for why he shouldn't split the checks is ridiculous, especially when he made it difficult to begin with. What, are you not allowed to talk to the table next you without getting a combined bill and needing to work out payment amongst strangers?
Their beer selection leaves a great deal to be desired--even if it is true to its name (Bohemian only, meaning mostly lagers, and the few ales leave a lot to be desired, imo).
So good! Authentic foods, good beer and wine. Friendly service!
Great atmosphere and food. Love the communal setting.
Food a little overpriced but super fun atmosphere. Check it out!
Nice for nightlife , dance and live music
Food not that great
Good beers selection ..the owners at that time were from the Czech Republic which was an added value:)
This place is very inviting!!! Welcome to Bohemia , there service rocks and the food is phenomenal !!!!
Great bar in downtown Boulder. Fantastic beers, especially if you like German beers and German-style beers. The food is wonderful too, my grandma (Oma) came from Germany in the 60s and everything on the menu matches what she made for us growing up. Bartenders and servers know their stuff too and are very attentive. Prost!
This place is very cool. The atmosphere is great and the drinks are good.
Seating is a little tight after 8 but it has great beers!
Amazing beer garden in Boulder downtown. The beer cocktail was really well done with honey on the froth. The ambience is very cheerful and they have live music at the back.
I love the Sunday comedy and the Brussel Sprouts!!!!!!!!!!!
The food is so good. They have three different types of mustard and they're all delicious with the pretzels.
Outstanding food! This is the one place I always look forward to eating to when I come to Boulder. The decor with the long wooden tables and overall atmosphere makes it feel authentic.
They have a good selection of German/European beer. The wurst is some of the best I've ever had.
The sauerkraut is made from scratch and contains grated potato and caraway seeds. The red cabbage is stewed with apples, cloves, juniper berries, and a mix of other spices to bring out a delicious flavor.
This place is great for Boulder. Plays to the audience that's here. If you're looking for an authentic beer house, this isn't really it but it's close enough for Boulder. Pretzels are solid and there are some great classic beer hall beers.
My favorite place to go to in Boulder, CO. Bohemian Biergarten is an absolute must if you enjoy German & Czech food & beer! The staff is great, the interior decorating delightful, the cuisine scrumptious, & the selection of beer really hits the spot.
Highly recommended if you re looking for a fun, beer garden experience, complete with steins and live acts in the evening
A great place to hang out with an amazing selection of beers. Since we went on a Sunday evening, we could catch the live comedy show. Only $5 for 9:15 show and we had an amazing time. Highly recommended!
Love the music, love the beer, love the food. Great place to just hang out with friends.
Great beer in massive mugs, phenomenal Eastern Euro flavors, communal tables, and loads of live music. What's not to love?
Love this place the beer the food the layout the waitress, hope it never changes
Great selection of beers but also really amazing food. The pork roast was incredible. Last week we had the Goulash and schnitzel also very tasty.
We stumbled upon this bar this weekend. We saw The Goonies play..fantastic band. But the best part was the staff. Friendly and helpful. Shout out to the Bouncers for taking such great care of the crowd. You all rock!!! We will be back!
Thus place is fun!! Great patio!! Love music!! Great food and beer!!!
I love this place! It's as close as it gets without stepping foot in Prague. I recommend a classic Pilsner Urquell, or if beer isn't your poison get the Honey Bite, a Pilsner cocktail with cider and honey, yummm!
I love the beer garden and have been a customer for a long time. I ve had great food and many good experiences here. Last night, I came in looking for a porter and when I asked I found that it was priced extremely high. The bartender seemed to have no time to give info on beer and was extremely rude. I felt no need to leave a good tip for him giving me one drink and complaining about that alone. Before I walked away, they saw the tip and to my face called me literal trash. Wouldn t ask for help or anything from the staff and I m sad one of my favorite restaurants has such poor service.
