Boeing has brought so many jobs to the low country and has been a supportive roll in the community.
I have a family of 3 with one more on the way. I was considering a mini van but a friend of mine said "why not a 787 ?" . So I checked it out and just so happened they were having a 2019 clearance sale. They had balloons, hot dogs, and colorful banners that said "VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME " so with 90 days same as cash we took home a brand new 787!
The Boeing Charleston Delivery Center is closed to the General Public. It is only Airlines taking delivery of New 787-8 /-9 or -10, and Boeing employees that have access. The 787-10 airplanes can only be produced in Charleston, SC (mid body section is too long to be flown on the Dreamlifters)
Great Company. Was here in May 2019 to take delivery of one of our B787-10 Aircrafts. This facility in Charleston is only Assembly line for B787-10 Aircraft. Though B787-9 also Assembled here.
Boeing is a great company to work for and with its community focus, has truly blessed many who have worked for them or as a supplier. The economy around them benefits greatly in many ways typically to great to count.
The plant here is state of the art and brings and efficiency that many other Boeing mfg sites are striving to obtain.
