Worked at this company as a telephone interviewer, completely unprofessional company holding no courtesy towards respondents or employees, and have many times neglected their duty of care towards employees as their water dispenser for "drinking" is contaminated most likely containing multiple parasites as it preceded to give employees such as my self sickness for up to 2 weeks
BMG calls because they want to know about the issues that are important in society. Well, here's one: good manners. Perhaps you could train your so-called researchers to not hang up on people when they have it politely explained to them that you are unwilling to take part. Arrogant, rude and just bad ambassadors for the company. I will be telling CITB, their end client on whose behalf they were doing the research.
Having researched them after the call I received they seem legitimate, but I thought the days of cold calling businesses 'to do a government survey' were long gone. Surely a, 'Have your Say' campaign on social media is a far better way to engage users, particularly when social media is such a political hot bed.
I have been pestered by this bunch of parasites for far too long. I have asked that they remove my details from their database numerous times but they ignore these requests. Under GDPR, I have submitted a DSAR request so they have to tell me what data and information they hold about me. Under GDPR you have a right to be removed form their database. They must comply or face a big fine. have a look at the ICO site for more details.
Answered door to cold caller from this company. As the lady of the house was horrified when the caller send i quote ' I prefer to speak to a man'. OMG. I said my husband was unwell and my son was upstairs, the Asian caller then said he would prefer to speak to my 18 year old son about what improvements in the area could be done than talk to a women. Told him to GET LOST.
Told not selling and was doing environmental research for the government / council liar , stay away .
They say they are ringing for the local authority, but many of the questions sound like they will be used to focus particular sales to your organisation.
This company have just phoned me and never in my life have I felt this bad, they asked for mr ____ I asked why they wanted him they said they had to call back I asked why they and when they had been in touch with my husband they said last week I said don't phone this number again you liars I wasn't that polite my late husband died 7 years ago I am so mad this company need shut down
My partner experienced a theft on a train, not v impressed with British Transport Police, and she specifically requested no telephone calls. The telephone calls keep coming, inspite of my husband stating that I am out at work all day. Actually he does not get to say much, because the telephone calls are ended by BMG in an a very abrupt manner. It is my husband who should be ending the calls
Bit of a nuisance, annoying to think the Government is subsidising this business to time waste actual useful business's office time. all the Government need do is send the director's a paper questionnaire through the post with the code to login and respond electronically, would save a lot of money... Conservative contract no doubt a hand out to some rich friend who owns BMG research
Cold calling on 27th December! Waited until the delivery guy was on my doorstep before pouncing. Apparently was doing research on behalf of Birmingham City Council. Yes, the reason the council don't research themselves is because if they did they'd be obliged to do something about it!
Calling our office non stop asking to speak to me saying they work on behalf of the government - Liars. I asked them politely not to call back and they insisted their surveys were beneficial so i said to who are they beneficial? and the lady hung up on me. Professional.
Had 4 letters from this company reminding me to complete survey regarding public perceptions on UK trade. The heading includes 'Department for International Trade'. They imply that this survey needs completing. I am not the least bit interested. Stop sending this unsolicited mail!!!
Disturbed my morning cold calling asking for my daughter for market research.
Worked here as a telephone interviewer through an agency. Due to the nature of the work (and a certain amount of office politics) when a certain project has finished certain ppl are rounded up and told to go downstairs for a "briefing"...only to be "laid off". Agency lied in the first place stating ppl will be expecting our calls, when it was cold calling, also lied about bonuses. Most respondent's didn't even want to participate in pointless surveys. The questions were leading and some were even ridiculous. Expecting small business owners to stay on the phone and answer a load of nonsense questions for half an hour! As with a lot of jobs flirting and kissing team leaders/managers butts would get u everywhere.When you're not hitting the targets you're threatened with the sack, mean mugged by the manager and given a "talking down too" which if you're not feeling down enough already about your performance you'll be completely demotivated by the end of it. Some staff are two faced and can't wait to find something to complain about you to the managers. Main manager acts like he's never had a professional role in his life and walks around like he's hitler. QC listen to conversations between yourself and whoever is next to you (whilst you're waiting for the next call) which is a complete violation. Staff employed directly by BMG are waiting 5 years before being offered a permanent position there. "favourites" will be on the shorter surveys. We were told during training/induction to tell respondents it's only a short survey when in fact it's a minimum of 20 minutes long.
Disgusting cold calls at unsocial hours. They don't even have the courtesy to speak to you but wait for you to answer and say hello before hanging up

As an ex employee I can confidently say that BMG Research is built upon inexperience, inexpertise and incompetence. It was a new experience at first as the environment was upbeat yet productive. However, a day of unproductivity and you d be made to feel worthless. The lack of professionalism at the workplace was shocking. You d frequently overhear managers gossiping about other employees. To be quite frank it s pathetically immature especially when you possess the status of a manager. The female managers at BMG Research were an utter disappointment. It was blatantly obvious that the managerial role erected their ego which somehow gave them the notion that it was okay to treat us like peasants. They thought they were superior despite them earning a few more pennies. In total honesty, every manager behaved in a patronising manner. They would undermine your competence and fail to empathise. They were so selective in their daily quality checking. If you d perform outstandingly they would never acknowledge that. They re clearly unaware that acknowledging good performance stimulates work morale which ultimately increases the long term performance. They re incapable of spelling correctly which is identifiable from my system records, spelling errors visible on literally every file note/breach. Take a look at the filthy keyboards then you may understand why they re unable to spell correctly. I ve been at BMG Research since July 2017 and I ve remained on a 0 hour contract. The decision is yours if you chose to work in such an unsettling environment however. The managerial level is appalling in simple terms. Save yourself the heart ache and don t apply.

Spam callers that will not remove you from their database, even if you ask on the phone or email them. Scummy practices like pretending to be calling from the government and such are in their wheelhouse.

Had never heard of this company until they called me today. The gentleman was very polite and introduced himself and directed me to their privacy policy. I've been having trouble with Thames water fixing some pipes and they called me about a phone call I made last month to Thames water. I'm hoping my dealings with them will help my issues with Thames Water! Fingers crossed. However I'm slightly worried by all the negative comments from others. Shall wait and see.
Just got a cold call from these people about a water provider, very vague when I asked what they wanted and eventually said everything was fine when I wanted to be removed from their database and the lady just hung up.

It's hard to find a worse job really... Can't believe the government use taxpayers money to fund this misery. They treat you like cattle, 7 minutes to go to the bathroom or have a drink outside of one 30 minute break all day. The pays all messed up too they won't give you what you'd expect. Math isn't hard for most people but clearly they can't do it or just want to pay you less I wonder which one. Avoid this place keep some sanity.
If my smartphone tells me it's a spam it's probably right and it was I urge the British government stop funding this
