Fell on the ice. Came in for an X-ray on my ribs, and hip. Instead I got a tetanus shot, lots of bloodwork, an IV, a CT, a CT with contrast. I was in a lot of pain, they said I was fine and rushed me out the door. With no X-ray. I found out later I actually had fractured ribs. A very pathetic band aid station at best.

Pro: Nurses are very nice and calming. Greeting us with care as soon as we walked in.

Con: My husband had to go to the ER and the doctor who on duty was super short to us and also rude. He didn t explain why my husband was feeling the way he was. My husband came to the hospital in very much pain and left with more pain.
I m very upset with this place. I ve also came with issues with myself as well in the past and other family members did as well.
My loved one was in pain and it hurt me because they didn t even try to figure out what was wrong with him, they just sent him home with nothing and no treatment.

THE PLUS SIDE: We went to parkview hospital in Fort Wayne and they helped us. They finally helped us figure out what was going on with my husband. I m a relieved wife. He got sent home with a diagnosis and also treatment.

Special Needs Child - Canceled Procedure

Special Needs Child - Canceled Procedure

My daughter first went to Bluffton after a referral from Adams County. She had been suffering from ear infections in reaction to her medication. We had your typical first appointment with the ENT facility on the south campus and they scheduled her surgery for the next month due to schedule conflicts of the staff. (It was a great team, no complaints about the doctor or staff.)

After a fairly smooth process of pre-registration, insurance and estimates for the procedure we received a call stating that they no longer would be providing care, two days before the scheduled date. The worry was from the anesthesiologist, which is understandable. However, Riley had cleared my daughter to receive anesthesia and care at this hospital. She has also never had any complications with anesthesia which she had received in the months prior to this situation.

My daughter is blind and missing the portion of her brain related to speech. Her ears are really all she has in forms of communication. We are now scheduled at Riley, through our primary care doctor, however the earliest we can get in is February.

I feel it is important for some form of communication to be established at this facility between the hospital and their patients. If there was a thought that this procedure wouldn't go through, I believe it is fair to be told much earlier in the process. If not this, an attempt to help us find a team who felt confident enough to perform the procedure or at the very least, an apology from the nurse delivering the news would have been appropriate.

The doctor is trash but they should hire a doctor who knows what he's talking about instead of just walking in for two minutes to waste your time but instead they waste 2-3 hours of your life to just tell you some thing not broken when it is

My wife received Occupational and Physical Therapy at the South Campus. I had the opportunity to witness the therapists that were working with children there. I was amazed at how well they worked with children having different conditions. They all seemed to be very caring and took real interest in the patients. The therapists who worked with my wife were also very professional and seemed to enjoy their jobs. I would highly recommend the facility to anyone needing Physical, Occupational or Speech therapy.

I have gone to Bluffton Regional my entire life, and have always had positive experiences. In July 2020, I was admitted into the hospital for severe high blood pressure. I stayed in the hospital for two days before I was discharged. As a 25 year old, it was unnerving to be having these kinds of issues so young. Dr. Jessica Morse, Dr. Bala, and Dr. Finklea have all worked together, tremendously, to ensure that my blood pressure remains under control and that I am on the appropriate medication. Dr. Morse has taken time to figure out which medications work best for me. I have since undergone many different tests and worked with many additional hospital staff members, to try and find out what is causing my high blood pressure. Every person I have worked with has been attentive in meeting my health needs. I was provided with wonderful care at Bluffton Regional, and continue to be treated positively throughout my continued check ups and appointments. I would strongly recommend this facility for your or your loved ones treatment and care. The nurses, doctors, administration, custodial, and many other staff members, always put the patient first.

Four of our children have received, some continue to receive, a combination of outpatient therapies through Bluffton Regional's Outpatient Rehabilitation services. The speech, occupational, and physical therapists are all great at what they do! They take the time to talk with parents, update parents, educate parents, and work with the school as well to help our children overcome the challenges they face. This is a great support team and we are so glad they are a part of our team of specialists! Highly recommend their services!

I would never recommend anyone going to this facility. I start from the top down Julie Thompson Chief Operating Officer lies and tries to cover up for the negligent staff. The first night my mother was there she fell. I was told and I quote "oh yeah she fell last night" when I questioned I was told some patients don't like their families to know about these things. I would call multiple times a day to check on my mother and would be told she is in the restroom. My mother was there only because she was transferred from another facility after having Covid. Bluffton was the only facility accepting Covid patients. My mother was left for hours alone in a chair without assistance. After speaking with Julie who advised she would investigate and call me back. I'm still waiting for that callback after a month. For the safety of your loved one my recommendation is to never use this facility. Many ex employees of Bluffton Regional have advised not to go there. Luckily I got my mom away from there before anything additional happen to her.

They performed the same service as ReadiMed. For 10 times the price. Then, they immediately sent me to collections because I didn't have insurance. Bluffton Regional is an example of part of what is wrong with the medical industry. Rob Delaney, the comedian, says it best; "You still leave with so much medical debt you have no choice but to kill yourself." They have zero regard for payoff. They do have good staff just lacking in leadership and practicality.

When my husband and I found out we were pregnant, ...

When my husband and I found out we were pregnant, there was no doubt that we would deliver at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Their OB/GYN, Dr. Austin Finklea, genuinely takes an interest and does not treat you like a number. Upon going to our 20 week ultrasound, Carol, in Radiology, took the time to explain each part of the body we were seeing and went as far as to print out multiple shots of our growing baby to then share with our family. Bluffton Regional Medical Center is a unique hospital that truly takes the time to know their patients and treat them like a welcomed guest. As many of my friends and family are searching for a place to give birth, I will no doubt refer them to his hometown hospital.

If you have a physical disability and you are pregnant dont go to dr. Finkley. I miss dr. Wanner. Dr. Finkley called cps based off nothing and told me they would show up and do an investigation and that everything would be fine. He ruined my life. I lelft the hospital in tears with out my newborn. He had no reason to even call.

My wife and I had our first child delivered here. Our doctor and all the nurses we met were very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. We received great care during our week long stay here. The rooms were very clean and up to date. We were very impressed with the hospital and all the team members we encountered. We can't say enough about how great the staff is here.

Terrible hospital. Heard nothing but bad things the last 15 years living in bluffton and it s a small town. People talk. Called to get my 8 year old boy appointment for some simple antibiotics for a winter cough. Sorry no open spots. What the hell happened to health care in America. Thanks Obama

I wish I could review the different departments, but over the years, this is what I have noticed
I have nothing but good things to say about the pediatrics department, they were professional, considerate and patient.

I wish i could say the same for the Emergency department. I went there a few months ago for kidney and abdominal pain and the nurses were the pinnacle of professionalism (sarcasm) I had a panic attack and one of those hags decided it would be funny or something to say "oh my god, are you having a baby" right to my face, and the doctor made me sign AMA papers. Anyway, I would rather drown then go there again.
