Was a good and big casino, but very tight machines, oh well was entertaining, well lite and good combo of machines old and new would good again.

Checked out the new simulcast area. A little disappointed.

Bathroom are in need of an upgrade, getting bad! Waitresses are hard to find and if you find one the service is tragically slow.

Fun place to go with lots of different choices in games to choose from.

Our whole family was out for a celebration and we chose to go to Horseshoe. It was late in the evening but after only a couple hours, we all decided to leave due to the fact it was so freezing cold in there.

Pretty ridiculous that they have a 50$ a day deposit on the rv park. We have a 5th wheel that we park once and don't move till we check out. It's a just in case you hit the water or electric. If your the stupid you shouldn't own an rv!!!

Most workers are friendly just had one extremely rude one at tables. He was miserable and made us all miserable

Love to pull camper and stay here. Expect to pay a deposit for camping spot. Next to casino walking distance.

Have been going there for 3yrs. The first year was fun, I could win a little or break even. It has changed in the last 2yrs. Can't even break even! Machines very tight. Their rewards program is a joke. Lose $300 and get $5.00 in free play, what an insult. Buffet is good, staff very friendly but don't plan to leave with money in your pocket.

We visit the Horseshoe Casino every other Friday. The slots are so much fun~~~both the quarter and penny slots!! The Blackjack tables have the best dealers. Friendly, helpful, and considerate!!!!

We like to gamble at Horseshoe and watch football, on Wednesday they have a seniors 55 BOGO buffet so we all ways take advantage of that offer. We can usually find something ok to eat, that being said this buffet still isn't cheap and the food is mostly messed up. They have an Italian section, this food looks Italian but it's not. The Italian peppers are just cut up Bell peppers dropped cold into a red sauce, not roasted and skinned, taste really bad and cold. The food has all been reheated many times, meatballs are just hamburger no bread crumbs or seasonings, think round, hard, cold, meat, sometimes raw in the center. The pizza is usually is ok but I'm pretty sure those Chefs don't make it there, just cook it. They have Lasagna that doesn't have any layered lasagna pasta in it. It's a cold mess of hamburger, cheese, with sauce dumped on top and green seasonings to make it look appealing, diners actually laugh about this food while they look at it on their plate. The Chefs either don't speak any English or are pretending not to so they won't be bothered.

The meat section is just crazy. Sometimes it's all good, most of the time it's old cold dried out horrible meat, people just throw it away and move on. Some of it has been reheated so many times it taste terrible. They served me some sausage that was rotten and discolored. The Chefs can't even carve this stuff and act like they have personal issues. They have a meatloaf that looks and taste like some alternate food, not even real meat, I don't know how you can mess food up that badly.

The Asian section may be the worst, all the food taste old, very old, very cold, sticky, gooey, undercooked veggies, overcooked pork, rice so old it can break your teeth. You can tell the Chefs are deliberatly running people off with all this bad food as the place is nearly empty most of the time.

The dessert section is mostly just the same stock foods they never change it. Cold desserts are usually warm. I've seen the Chef handle this food with his bare hands.

Anyway, if your famished and just have to get something to eat it you can find something to eat but it's a shame management won't treat us gamblers a lot better, I spend around 4k at this casino every year and deserve better.

We saw Todd Rundgren at The whiskey Bar which is located inside of the casino. I personally do not gamble but this was a really nice place. The venue was only a few hundred people and made our experience even better. There is also a chain hotel which is directly attached to the casino where you only walk a few feet and you're at the front door. I highly recommend.

TIGHT!!! They have new machines that have the MAX BET button, conveniently, right next to the respin button! So, if your not careful your $20 might be gone in 3 spins! I lost a total of $70 bucks, playing 3 machine, and not a single BONUS round! That's what really sucks! I go for the entertainment, and if I can't get into the Bonus round (on any machine) within $20.... I wasn't entertained! I felt cheated! Plus, I'm not a high roller, but they used to give you $5 free slot cash or comp you something to get you in! Not anymore! Not the little guy I guess! So, for me, it's not worth it!

Only thing I don't like people smoking next to you everything else is great.

When I arrived at the Horseshoe they insisted our masks be removed briefly so security would have a record. It was nice to see the beverage stations were clean and the cups to be used are individually wrapped. I was surprised to see that smoking is allowed. It makes it difficult to breathe wearing a mask which should be required due to the pandemic. There are no sanitary wipes anywhere. I don't want to play a machine that has not been wiped down after someone has used it. There was no staff available to address this issue which is the reason for the low rating. I'm hopeful they will correct this oversight soon.

The gaming is nice but sum of the staff there are really rude and say terrible things about sum of the regulars that come there. Sum service people have rude comments and don't have very good inside voices. Good gaming service ,but staff and sum security and sum management are very unprofessional

They lie about their restaurant hours they close 2 hours early if they open at all

Amazing atmosphere and great job during the pandemic. They are always cleaning and wipe down everything. Thank you for the Amazing time and will definitely be back.

They have the machines very tight they do not give out enough money maybe 5% if that it's very low the chances of winning money there is like finding a needle in a haystack and you're definitely not going to find that needle so that means you're definitely not going to win any money

Had the buffet, it SUCKED!!! going to take my business elsewhere!

Smoking should not be allowed. It was terrible even with a mask on.

Obviously, I'd like a better payout ratio. Nice clean casino. Steakhouse a bit pricey, but they have a buffet, and deli. Deli food was better than I thought it would be. And beer and liquor! Casino has a few odd liquor laws, but nothing that would stop me from a return visit.

Buffet isn t worth $25.99 on Saturday,, next time I ll go to Texas road house

It's like most casinos. You don't really see wins unless you bid high, but otherwise it's clean.

I would have given the cafe 5 stars I was really looking forward to having dinner and taking one of their individual Yummo desserts home with my friend and I, that I had talked up all day!! However, the line was soooo long even at 10 p.m.that we ended up leaving to return another day which saddens me because its been over a year with the covid shut down since I've been able to partake in the YUMMO desserts!

Always have good food and many choices to choose from. I go for the food not the gambling.

Always bright and cheery, Horseshoe Casino is a great place to go on occasion to maybe eat at the buffet or just gamble a bit. I have fun but I remember "All things in Moderation"!

Used to be fun, you could go there, lose a little, win a little, fairly cheap drinks. Everything has changed the last two years, machines are super-tight, no one wins. I don't know if its the economy or what. These places cater too the gullible and poor.

Nice clean atmosphere with a few choices to eat. The buffet is ok. Jbs cafe is always a good choice. But if you want some really good food and don't mind paying for it go to the steakhouse. Half off coupons work at all three. Always have them swipe you players card to see if you have one.

The best casino in iowa with the most wins ever they have excellent payouts the most amazing host and good food ohhh and the floor staff are excellent also highly highly recommend coming here if your in the area!!

Way over priced, the smell of ass is everywhere. Odds set way to high for the house to win . 17 machines and 1000.00 dollars not one paid . Zero. . Not a good place. If you run the numbers you see their payout percentage is 97 / 3. . '' 97 percent of the time you loose.

The staff at this casino was very friendly and helpful. The casino seemed a little older in appearance, but the slots were up to date. When we visited, it seemed the visitors were older than those at Harrah's. It may have just been a coincidence, however.
