Great place for skiing. Very large hill (as per Ontario standards). Staff are friendly, facilities are clean, lift lines are minimal. Many food options are available for purchase, and it is hard to go wrong with any one of them.
There's a lot to do at Blue Mountain. The village offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and bars all with their own uniqueness. There are also more than enough accommodations and spaces for a conference, bachelor party, or wedding. There's something for everyone at the resort whether it's skiing, shopping, or going to the spa. Definitely worth checking out and staying at.
Hill is ok for a beginner - intermediate level, all runs are groomed and even with the 6 people chairs the lines are incredibly long. However way too expensive. Website states that tickets start at 85$ but no information as to what the ticket price would actually be when I showed up. I tried to reach out but did not receive a response as to what the price would be for the day that I was travelling on. When I arrived I ended up paying 107 after tax. Very disappointing.
Solid. Room is nice, and so is the private beach. 4 stars instead of 5 because the Wi-Fi has pretty poor performance.
Lots of family activities to do and great beaches/parks near by. Good amount of cottages to rent or you could stay at the resort. It is a pricey place to eat, shop,do activities but they also make it sure there is lots of seating for you to bring and eat your own food. Activities include mountain biking (bikes which you can rent), mini golf, high ropes, zip lining, hiking, gondola ride etc... Nice place to hang outside of the city.
Staff was very accommodating. Great selection of restaurants and variety of foods. Great time.
It's the best place to go snowboarding in Ontario. Also great amenities.
The last time I traveled to Blue Mountain was 2003. They were just completing Phase 1. The village is fantastic, lots of activities for everyone. Great job. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Great shopping, food, treats for kids and of course excellent skiing. Very quaint with something for everyone! Pricey but that's standard at all good ski resorts.
A mask is a must for stores. Patios open if not raining. Reservations needed for most. Signs for walking directions. Inside westin, everything cleaned often and every staff member in mask. Don't know about other hotels. Felt safe but still need to be careful.
This place was perfect it was very clean room was a nit small and inner was overpriced hiking and biking where very good and ziplining was great they took great care of us when on the zipline over all great resort
This is a great place for a holiday. You can come here even if you don't know how to ski. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing.
A very nice place to walk around. Not too many people.
Too busy during the Christmas time. I'll go to other options if you're looking for somewhere the skiing is less busy.
All day pass but not for all the rides. Certain ride required to book in advance prior to purchase all day pass? When we purchased the tickets staff didn't mentioned about it, we found out when lined up for hours and got denied to Timber challenge high ropes , Woodlot low ropes , kids trampoline etc.
Fun place to visit. Came for the Christmas craft show. Lots to see and do. Plenty of restaurants and shops. The kids loved the mountain roller coaster. We were able to navigate with a stroller. Kids want to come back for some skiing and snowboarding.
Always a nice family retreat. Lots of activities and food options. Good selection of merchandise. Has scenic views and even a beach with kayaking nearby!
That was the great experience!! Definitely should visit here
Went there for activities for the kids. It wasnt too busy and was a nice place for family. Good food and vibes.
Me my husband and 3 kids have just done a couple of newbie ski day, and have had a blast. My 2 youngest loved ski school and the instructors, so much so my 4 year old is still talking about his pizza ( snow plough). Me my husband and eldest daughter enjoy our tuition, and my husband has learnt more snow boarding tips to further advance his knowledge so he is very happy .
The staff are very polite and always willing to help even if your not in there group. This made our first ski experience fantastic.
Stayed at lodges on Wintergreen. Lodges were large and spacious, with comfortable seating in the social area. Very close to the village area of Blue mountain. Nice balconies with available BBQ, which makes the place even better. BBQ and fresh air away from the city!
Hiked to the top of the mountain with my family and had a blast. Unfortunately the lifts were not in service as they were closed until winter. Even if it is not practical, it would be nice to have the lifts open all year round for visitors to enjoy views of the city.
Nice place when there arent too many people. Lots to do. Blue mountain is a must see for anyone visiting the area.
Always fun to be here for work or play. Lots to do from shopping to sitting down for a meal
Fantastic place to visit with various food vendors and family activists around.
Skiing is great at Blue Mountain. It gets very busy on the weekends and at night. The instructors are very nice. There are 2 magic carpet runs which are great for beginners.
Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Very clean resort.
Went to this place over a summer weekend. Awesome place to check out. Beautiful little village. Make sure to go on the mountain coaster. While there, take a short trip to Sunset Point Beach.
This was our first ski resort in Canada and definitely better than any ski place we've been to in the states. We had a lot of fun there were a lot of instructors out helping people. Instructors just hanging at the Bunny Hill in case anyone needed assistance. There was not a long wait for anything but we were also there during the week.
Never stayed at the resort because the customer service was abysmal and lacked morals. When I attempted to book rooms for my wedding I was told they only had a certain level of room a available for the date in question. Was blatantly lied to when I asked after the cheaper rooms that I knew they had. Dont trust anything they say.
Blue Mountain Resort is always a fantastic place to spend the afternoon. Lots of shops to browse, outdoor summer activities and restaurants with patios to enjoy the warm weather.
Went to the resort during the off season/spring time. Visited the Inn. It was very beautiful. There are a lot of stores and restaurants. Great place to bring the family and friends for down time/leisure.
Didn't get to stay at the resort and enjoy. But definitely enjoyed skiing
Nice amenities and good skiing for Ontario. Only downside is that they don't properly clear the parking lots of snow, so lots of people were having trouble driving around and getting their cars out.
The resort is located in a great area not to far away from other locations room relatively spacious
What a cool place. Great food and lodging and awesome in winter or summer. Definitely a spot worth making time for if you re up that way
Very good location. Room size is bigger and comfortable. ladys whom work for check in office are very nice.
Blue mountain is gorgeous during the winter. There are plenty of events going on and the skiing and boarding is the best.
I have been going to Blue Mountain for the past ~5-6 years during the winter time. It doesn t matter if you are beginner, intermediate or advanced, they have multiple slopes for every level.
I suggest you purchase your ticket in advance so you can get a discount On their website. The more in advance you buy it, the cheaper it is. Keep in mind that when you buy a chair lift tickets online, you have to pick the day you will be going, the ticket WILL ONLY BE VALID FOR THE DAY YOU PURCHASED IT FOR.
- Check the rental prices + lift ticket as they have gone up this year. I believe is $119 for regular, and $147 for newbie/first timers (which includes equipment, lesson and lift). The newbie ticket does not give access to all the slopes only bunny and green hills.
They also have snow pants and jackets rental (no sure what the price is)
- slopes are broken down as follows
*beginner*
Bunny hills - no chair lift, they use a conveyor to go up the hill
Green hills - with chair lift
* intermediate*
Green and
Blue
*Advanced*
Black diamond
Double black
The blue mountain resort is one of the best tourist spots in southern Ontario. Summer or winter, there are many activities that will keep you and your kids busy. The staff at the village hotels are wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable. There are restaurants catering to different cuisines, coffee shops and fast food stands including beaver tails and poutine.
The hotels are clean, the rooms are tidy and the amenities are a plenty. Definitely worth the money spent close to the holiday season. Highly recommended.
Good time at resort. Skiing was very good. The resort services and ski services were very good. Staff was good. Resort was clean. Shops offered good services at premium prices.
I really love Blue Mountain. There is something for everyone all depends how well you ski. It's a great place for beginners and excellent skiers, or for those who like adrenaline. There are great places to warm up or eat and drink something. Experience the exhilaration and camaraderie of a day on the slopes with friends, or savour the romance of a clear starry night during night skiing.
The accommodations were fine. Room was clean. The room was not ready at 4 pm check in.
Love this place but weekends are rough and ice always tends to surface.
First got there got out the elevator to our room and there were 2 housekeeping staff that absolutely reeked of B O. I actually went down parked the car and came back they were long gone and the odor persisted.
We also got locked out of our room because the doors scanning system had dead batteries. I understand you don't always know when they are gonna die but it was an annoyance.
Restaurants for dinner were highly overpriced but we found options to have. Activities should have much more savings for people that are staying at the resort. When you can actually golf for close to the price to mini putt that's just not right. Overall though we had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Without those MINOR issues this place would of got 5/5 stars.
I'm hoping to live long enough to experience open Wi Fi at your resort
Stayed at westin, good activities, lots of food options, perfect for families
More than just a ski hill - this is about an October visit.
A bit more man-made than I usually like, but very family oriented and has many things to do with my physically active kids. It is designed to be walked whether you are shopping, eating or hiking up its picturesque trails. And if you walk to the top of the hill, the ski lift down is free. I hiked the trail with loose-fitting converse sneakers and had no issues, so no special foot-wear needed, at least not in drier weather, but be ready for a steep climb. My boys ran it. And the view at the top is amazing!!
Plenty of options to refuel once you get back to the bottom as there are plenty of eating establishments of various types.
Very nice resort..was there for a conference..food was also very good..nice rooms
Amazing winter break experience with plenty of housing options and many restaurants..
I think this is the nicest Resort in Collingwood, truly relaxing
Awesome place to be! Had a lot of fun checking out the area, enjoying the poutine shop, and walking around the mountains. Highly recommended in summer and winter!
Blue mountain resort is great for kids. Frog catching and throwing live band throughout the day. Great shops.
Great rooms, great service, a little pricy but worth the experience!
Beautiful views from the mountain top. But admissions was complicated. We came in the morning but we're told that things were at maximum capacity for the gondola ride to the top even though we were waiting in line.
Beautiful and scenic. Drive is quite nice as well if you avoid the 400.
Love the vibe of this place. Good places to eat, drink and have a good time.
Sad to say that this is probably the best thing close to Toronto.
On weekends in peak season between late December and late February it is packed to the point that you spend more time waiting in line that it is to come down the hill.
The lift tickets are over priced. $80 for an 8 hour ticket. Not even Mont Tremblant charges that much which is a better hill. But since there is nothing else that can compete with them in the area they can charge as much as they want.
Good place to take a break from every day and relax.
Room was clean, staff were helpful and friendly. TV in room was quite small and noise travels quite easily through from the hall, but an otherwise pleasant stay.
Stayed 3 days, 2 nights at the Mosaic hotel at Blue Mountain Resort for the YetiCon convention. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Lots of stuff to do around the Village with plenty of food options. The kitchenette in the hotel room was very handy as well.
Lots of beds and room great experience friendly service. Great for bachelor and bachelorette parties.
The skiing is definitely good with some of the best slops around but the prices are just way too high. Also the hills are quite far from the parking and is not a fun walk in ski boots. But that's if you even manage to get a parking spot as there's never enough spots. Overall it's good but not worth the price for me.
Awesome place to go with the family and got a sale in the north face. Excellent service and friendly staff
Good atmosphere but at a premium, everthing from morning breakfast to icecream costs a pretty penny. Their aquatic area is popular with kids so thats worth it. Next time we might go for a day trip if we ever go. The roller coaster is OK, but might as well go to the wonderland.
So close to village... If you have a family you better get an extra bed for 20$ ..beds are too small for family of 4...
I liked the indoor pool and the outdoor hot tub..
But the receptionist are not professional enough..
Rooms where not ready after 430 pm and they didn't even know..
I wouldn't go back..
Very nice hotel with friendly and accommodating staff.
Blue Mountain was a great trip, the hotels were clean, staff friendly and of course the pools and outdoor activities were fun. However, the food offerings were meagre and overpriced. If I head over again, I'm definitely going to be cooking my own food.
It's a fabulous place to spend the days. There are lots of interesting shops. Great restaurants and pubs. Some with live music daily. You can rent paddle boats. There are several hotels in the village. The scenic caves are a few kilometers away. It's expensive but you get what you pay for.
This place is awesome for beginners that just learn how to snowboard/ski. The ski/snowboard community is really caring and helpful. They taught me a lot of tips/tricks, help me when I need momentum after a stop, and respond super nice when I was out of control and hit them. Would come back here again 12/10
Great Mountain for Ontario, great terrain and from what i remember its not crazy out of line when it comes to lift ticket prices.
It's a fantastic place to stay and hang around. Many activities for all age groups.
Saturday panic- crowded. Blowing snow on a hill where a race was going on. Unacceptable.
Everything is good, except of waiting time for the payment.
It was a nice place...my only complaint is it's far from everything...and the food was way high end for my liking..the rooms were clean and nice..im not into high end fancy locations I prefer low key hang out place places..
Blue mountain resorts it's yours to discover. Very beautiful place and relaxing.
I'm a novice skier and I did not realize that skiing after a rainfall would make the slopes very icy. Most of the runs on Blue Mountain were quite icy despite having the snow machines on. One of the lifts was closed because they were de-icing it so it was out of service for over an hour. If you arrive early, or as soon as the rental place and lifts open at 8:30, you can avoid the large line for renting equipment. I was second in line. Also, the lift tickets are valid for 8 hours starting from when you purchase it, which is pretty cool. Other lift tickets I have purchased at Whistler, Cypress, Mont Tremblant, and Mt. St. Louis are valid until a specific time for everyone like 4:30PM. The village by the resort is very nice and reminds me of Whistler. Slopes and runs in general are pretty much straight down with the exception of one that I have encountered that has curves. I also went to explore the neighbourhoods in Collingwood and found a lot of ducks by Lake Huron. One of the best parts of going here was the drive in the early morning. There were no cars on my 2 hour drive and it was really cool to see the roads go from no snow to very snowy and at the same time watch the sunrise.
Amazing guest service and beautiful rooms. I visit and stay here yearly this skiing and I am never disappointed
