Please do not sign up with BCBS Advantage if you receive any psychological or psychiatric care. Why? Because their cheap incompetent upper management decided to send all their psychological and psychiatric services to an incompetent company in California, the Holman Group. Please Google them, they have a 1.8 out of 5 rating because they have horrible customer service, insufficient providers for most areas example: 2 psychiatrists for all of Peoria and Sun City, if you are under 65, and 1 psychiatrist if you are 65 or older. That is 1 or 2 psychiatrists for 204,000 people. Look them up and go on their website and see if you can find a psychiatrist or psychologist, within 15 miles of where you live. You can find plenty of LCSW s, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, but not psychiatrists or psychologists that people diagnosed SMI, serious mental illness, require. I explained to two of their employees at The Holman Group that I was SMI, and therefore needed a psychiatrist and psychologist, which is why their suggestion of a LCSW was insufficient and they did not know what SMI was. This is my third year with BCBS Advantage, and I am leaving. They were wonderful, but they cut back a lot in 2019. They also did not inform the doctor s offices or their patients of their significant changes and reduction in benefits in psychological services. Finally, their local customer service can no longer help you if it is in relevance to psychological services. They apologize and immediately send you to the incompetent Holman Group, in California, per upper management s absolution of all psychological related problems.

I have been trying for almost 2 months to get simple copy of claims on an account. So frustrating

All they do is Delay 14 days for approvals
Deny Claim then I contest and force
AZ state review and win and months go by!!

I HAVE ONLY EVER (AND I STRESS EVER) GOTTEN LIED TO, BEEN GIVEN APPROVED PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS THAT BCBS REFUSES TO HONOR..I HAD A 10 HOUR MASSIVE MAJOR SPINE RECONSTRUCTION, FUSION DECOMPRESSION, REVISION AND I WAS PROMISED BY MY RN CASE MANAGER MS JACQUES AND THE ENTIRE CARE MANAGEMENT TEAM THAT ENCOMPASS IN PATIENT REHABILITATION FACILITY WAS CONTRACTED AND I COULD REST ASSURED THAT I WOULD BE THERE UPON DISCHARGE FROM THE HOSPITAL..TO MY HORROR I WAS LIED TO AND DENIED THE PROMISED ENCOMPASS IRF AND WAS FORCED TO INSTEAD (NO OTHER OPTIONS WERE ALLOWED) GO TO THE WORST SNF KNOWN FOR ITS NEGLECT AND NEGLIGENCE OF THE PROVIDERS THEY EMPLOY..MONTECITO SNF IN MESA AZ. I WAS ALSO SUBJECTED TO NEGLECT ABUSE AND NEGLIGENCE BY THE LICENSED SUPPOSED MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AT MONTECITO SNF. I WAS THERE FOR PT OT AND REHABILITATE SERVICES, WOUND CARE ETC. I IN FACT ONLY HAD ONE INITIAL EVALUATION UPON ARRIVAL..I NEVER RECEIVED ONE IOTA OF "REHABILITATION " I WAS REFUSED ANY PERSONAL HYGIENE AND HAD NOT HAD A SHOWER IN OVER 2 WEEKS. I EXPERIENCED MASSIVE FACIAL SWELLING AND THE LPN GOT NO CALL BACK FROM THE ON CALLS AND SO MUCH MORE. COMPLAINTS WENT TO BCBS AND WERE DISMISSED AS "WE ARE SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED YOU "!... ARE YOU SERIOUS HERE TRY MENTALLY SCARRED FOR LIFE. I HAD THIS SURGERY IN APRIL..IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER 2020 I AM STILL WAITING FOR BCBS TO PULL IT TOGETHER AND GET ME THE REHABILITATION THAT BCBS KEEPS MAKING MY SURGEON WRITE OVER AND OVER AND OVER EVERY WEEK. THEY HAVE THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL MOST WORTHLESS NETWORK IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA AND WILL UNDER NO AND I MEAN ZERO CIRCUMSTANCES MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS FOR YOU TO RECEIVE PROPER CARE, ACCESS TO CARE OR A TON OF THE TIME IT WILL BE A MEDICARE COVERED SERVICE BUT THEY HAVE ZERO CONTRACTED FACILITIES TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE SERVICES...IF IT IS COVERED BY MEDICARE THEY MUST FIND YOU A PROVIDER.
