Spoke with a representative Ladora and told her I did not want the PARS system and that's exactly where she transferred me. Called back got another rep Heather who was able to get me the information I needed and the phone number to the agent to best help my needs. She is the only reason my review is not a 1 as Ladora seemed like she didn't know anything

If I could rate bcn even lower then a 0, I would do so. I went to bcn for my Medicare supplemental insurance. I could never have made a worse mistake. Ever since I started with them I have been provided with nothing but lie after lie by members of various call centers. If I called 5 times I would get 5 or more different answers including different answers in the same call with the same representative. My biggest concern came about two and a half months ago when I called about getting a shingles injection. The representative I spoke to told me that I had a co-payment of $47 for the shot. I went to a local pharmacy and was quickly told that my portion of the shot would cost me approximately $260. Called back to bcn and was told different information than before and since I was already working with a supervisor about another matter, she told me she would try and verify my phone conversation which was recorded. She did ultimately acknowledge that I did have this conversation with someone and she would file a grievance on my behalf. After about 2 months I received the letter which I did not fully understand and reached out to the supervisor I was working with. Since I was unable to reach her and she did not return my phone call as she promised she would do I went to the local office and talked to the front counter service woman who ultimately got this supervisor and another person to come talk to me and see if we could decipher what happened. This supervisor promised me a return call on Friday which never came. I called yesterday, Monday early in the morning and asked for a status update. At about 4 p.m. Because have not yet heard anything I called again left another message. I advised that I was not feeling well and probably could not take a call yesterday. To my utter shock I got calls from both supervisors we both left me messages yesterday after I advised that I probably would not be able to take a call. They both asked me to call back today, and I did return a call to one of the two parties only. It is now about 4 p.m., and I reach out to the same person as earlier today on both her business and personal cell phone number that she had given me and told me to use. Shortly thereafter I get a phone call from the other supervisor who wants to give me yet another line of garbage as to why my portion of the co-pay was going to be so high. He advised that the rep who told me my copay would only be $47 neglected to tell me that I had not yet met my deductible. I then questioned why I should be held responsible for the incompetence of their staff. No explanation was provided or would make sense to anybody. Their customer service stamp which is located in several States all seem to run by different guidelines. Most of my problems slow have come from the offices right here in Michigan located previously and Plymouth and now in Southfield. I live less than 5 minutes from the Southfield office and have been there on several occasions only to be frustrated for any and every reason I've gone there. If you have any thoughts of dealing with Blue Care Network for their Medicare Advantage program I would give this a lot of thought before I would sign up unless you are willing to put up with more and more garbage on a regular basis. I am going to give some thought to putting on a couple more reviews due to several other problems that I have had with this insurance company. I can't wait for open enrollment to start so I can change companies since I am sure that absolutely nobody can be as bad as Blue Care Network.
An absolute garbage organization, from top to bottom. Think of every negative stereotype a health insurance company can have, and BCN will make it a priority to check that box. No regard for their customers, human life, right or wrong. An absolutely despicable, immoral company. 1 star is too many. Insurance companies need to be a relic of the past.
1. every dr. i go always have trouble. 2. every prescription- they tell me this insurance always gives us trouble. 3. none of their dr. will look at me-because i got hurt at work-- 3 months cant get help because this insurance-- i get stopped everywhere i go. the are not even worth a star.
Horrible!! Customer service is horrible! I asked and called 3times about stuff i needed and they lied and never did what i asked for and then lied again! Worst!
Insurance lapsed/cancelled still accepted premium payments refund check at a stand still being processed 5 months and counting. Customer service trash throw all Csr team away.
This company is the worst! It's extremely unfortunate when you assume that the coverage you are receiving is the same based on the letter they sent out, then you find out once it's to late that everything is completely different! Not one person could answer why our deductibles and copayments all went up so much when it didn't say anything about this at all. All of the customer service workers were rude, and none had a clue what they were doing. Then once we accepted it and moved on, due to our premiums being so high our payments are usually a little short and behind a month. We have had this happen a ton of times in all the years we have had BCN, but they always get paid. Out of nowhere they decide to cut off our prescription coverage, and say "I'm sorry it's finally caught up with you." I said what after 6 year's??? Cause never once have they shut off our prescription coverage if our payments weren't on time, nor does it mention that anywhere. I had literally just paid out $330, and they didn't care, they wanted no part in helping us. We will not be coming back and we have had BCN for over 10 years! Guess they don't care about losing customers though or making them happy based on all these horrible reviews.
The mandatory referral from your primary family physician make it impossible to receive any care when you are out of town. The "blue care network approval to provide services" is an incredible waste of time for physicians and patients. It causes a delay in treatment, which also leads to additional health problems. Worst health insurance plan ever.
I cannot express how wonderful every rep I have spoke to has been , always helpful and pleasant and makes sure i even know what to expect that I would never have thought about.
