Blu Bar on 36 @ The Shangri La Review

Terrible service, had to ask three times if we could order, never came back to ask us for a second round, we re stuck in a corner and told the free table with a view was waitlisted and not available, entire time we were there no one was ever moved there, also my $16 mocktail was entirely full of ice with about 1/8th liquid. Terrible! The view however if you do manage to get by the window is lovely

Drink service was slow, and while the drinks were quite pretty they were not great.
There was vomit all over one of the toilets which had not been cleaned.
The view was quite nice though.

Lovely bar, great location and views. Do bare in mind this bar does not face the Opera house, that is the restaurant next to it which does. This bar faces towards Darling Harbour

Rude staff - out waitress was cold as ice. Don't expect a smile. We had been there chatting for a couple of hours when she came up and requested we pay for our drinks - in other words "time to go!" - unbelievable considering the price. There were only two bartenders working and they were extremely slow. There weren't very many people at the bar when we arrived and we were waiting there to be served for 15 minutes. Thankfully we were given a seat near the harbour facing windows (you have to put your name on a list to sit there) and had personal service so we didn't have to wait any longer. The cocktails are very expensive, as is expected, yet very good but please, don't get the cocktail with Jasmine tea... they put a teaspoon of tea leaves on top and let me tell you there is nothing worse than getting those bitter leaves in your mouth. Go there for the view but don't expect high quality service that is indicative of a 'luxury hotel'. Also, no maitre d - why?

close your eyes, walk, walk and open them in front of a beautiful scenery. you're on the 36th floor and there's sydney in front of you. the opera house and the sydney bridge light up the bay and in front of that magnificence you can drink some of the best cocktails in sydney. An elegant yet refined restaurant with low costs. But if you want, and if you can, there is also a $ 10,000 option on the menu. the choice is yours...

Buzzfeed have rated this place as the number one date destination to check out- and I could not agree more. A friend & I met here for drinks on a cold wintery Thursday night and boy did the cocktails not disappoint. We ordered this chilli-flavour cocktail which was simply delicious and spicy!

Very slow service and expensive. Old fashioned was very watered down. Views are good if you get here when not busy but that is rare

Had a great experience on my last visit, staffs were friendly with great service. They have one of the best signature as well as classic cocktails knowledge bartenders.

Cocktails are pricey but well presented. The views are simply stunning!
