Bloomingdale Public Library Review

Just installed new carpeting, in addition to state of the art checkout machines, speechless!!!

Best children's area in the surrounding area. Really understanding and efficient staff, both librarians and circulation services. Always have hot pick DVDs and newly released books as you walk in. Teen area is set up well and lots to do. Bathrooms are always clean and well stocked.

Best public library in the area. It's a clean, orderly place with a varied assortment of books, CD's and DVDs. They have a friendly, knowledgeable staff. It's a quiet study environment. And they have one of my books on their shelves. One of my favorite places.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but as the adage goes: "don't judge a book by its cover."

This facility has some state-of-the-art check-out stations for books. You simply pile the books on the scanner and it reads each individual item. You can even email your check-out receipt to yourself.

There is a great comics/graphic novels section of which I've taken advantage.

Downstairs has a wonderful kids area with a wide array of books, both new and classic. The play area has so many diverse activities ranging from a puppet-show stage to a SMART touchscreen tabletop. It's on the lower floor, keeping the inevitable volume of the kids away from reading/studying adults upstairs.

As a whole, the library itself is clean, well lit, and has a willingly-helpful staff.

I am actually a resident of Roselle, but have registered my library card to this library in order to take advantage of its features (only a five-minute process, by the way).

Very good and peaceful. A silent study room is also there.

The place is always clean and the librarians are amazing- helpful, friendly, nice, always with a smile. It's a small library, but they organize and do so many events and classes for all ages. Very involved

BPL is progressive and constantly reinventing themselves.
The library offers many more features and benefits to it's patrons than you would expect for a library of this size. The online and digital presence is also impressive. I can order books online to pick up in the library. If an affiliated library has the book I need, it gets delivered to BPL in record time! I also like the option to get digital & audio books via Hoopla and MyMediaMall.

I can't say enough good things about the Bloomingdale Public Library. :)

I actually brag about this library to friends and business associates. What a terrific resource! As a self-employed consultant, the library is like a second office to me. It has the biggest computer lab of any community library - with trained staff always there to help you! I can print documents for a fraction of what Kinkos Office charges; access reference books and databases; provide suggestions for books to purchase (which they actually do); and take their free classes.

The facility is always clean and orderly, and the staff are all so nice. They have decent furniture and are adequately staffed, which makes it such a pleasant experience.

Progressive, up to date, good staff, comfortable setting, excellent.website and the best and most complete computer room I have ever seen. If you cannot get it done there, you can't get it done anywhere!!!
