This library is amazing. It's updated, clean, and has plenty of materials. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the layout of this library, too. I only wish they had more story times and activities each week.
I spend a great time at this library. The staff is friendly and helpful. Selection of books, CDs, movies and programs for all ages is outstanding. Well worth every tax dollar spent
It doesn t cost anything to smile. Finding front desk people rather cold
Beautiful building and easily accessible. Great area for kids and lots of room to play and learn. Very friendly staff.
This library is a gem to our community!!! The adult services staff are always helpful when I need to find something and have taken their time to show me how to use my tablet and get the digital books. The library and library gardens are also very beautiful. They also have a lot of wonderful programs that I have attended. I am very appreciative of all that this library continues to provide.
I got here super early so I could get a study room to study for finals and I was denied a study room because I live in the city next to Bloomfield township. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS
An excellent Community Resource. I use it frequently for accessing newspapers, periodicals and investment publications online
Great friendly staff. Great library. Definitely going back
No microwave here! However, there is an area where eating is allowed. What sense does that make... I meal prep and would like to heat up the food I bring with me. I asked 2 library employees and both indicated that they have no plans of installing a microwave. One of them told me to bring Jimmy Johns. I shouldn t have to eat fast food because they refuse to add a microwave.
The book selection is large, the play area for kids is okay (a fraction of what is offered at the West Bloomfield library) and some of the programs such as little foodies are nice. The staff that runs the programs and helps you find books are nice. However, the staff at the circulation desk makes my review a 1 star.
As a tax payer in the township I am consistently surprised and disappointed by how rude the workers at the circulation desk are. It feels more like the DMV than a friendly neighborhood resource for the public. I use the computer checkout whenever possible.
LOVE this library! Offers many places to study and is usually nice and quiet. Coffee machine on location (not great coffee but warms you up if you need it). I studied here many days out of the week for a few months and passed a really important test so this library has a special place in my heart! I'll be back for my next exam!
Children's area is always clean.. Staff helps me (as a nanny) find books every time.
Usually the staff is friendly but as I was walking out I really had to use the bathroom, as I was about to enter the bathroom and the lady wouldn't let me use it because she said it's 1 minute past closing time... who doesn't let someone use the bathroom?? The moment 6:30 hits they try to kick everyone out. Rude.
If you need peace and quiet to get your work done, go to another library. The staff is loud and users talk on the phone and nobody tells them anything. I've been coming here on/off for over a year and it's the same thing. If you must come here, bring a pair of earplugs with you. I gurantee you'll use them.
This Library has a $7,000,000 ANNUAL BUDGET and $4,100,000 annual in just wages. It is a public scam how much money they waste in our money every year.
I have been to over 25 different libraries in Metro Detroit and this is by far the biggest and also has the best variety of materials (they got science kits, materials for the elderly and special needs) rivaled only by the Highland library
I needed help repairing the spine of a book and was told by a staff member that they could help me, but wouldn't. Way to be a public service! I'll never go to this place again.
lovely library. my only complaint is that the red chairs are quite uncomfortable and set too low relative to the desks :(
The computer deleted my essay...
And the people there a super LOUD!
This was the best library I've ever gone to. I moved from MI to TX. Well, no other library anywhere can ever compare. I was spoiled with their many available private study rooms, computers, separate areas for kids (so adults can study quietly), and beautiful places to read. The libraries I have now have only the opposite of what I mentioned. It was a beautiful library. I don't miss the cold weather, but I miss this library.
We always enjoy coming to the children's section of the library. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, there is a nice assortment of toys and resources for the small children, and children's programs are always of a high quality. My daughter especially likes the Tinker Tales and the Family Storytime programs.
Nice kids area but for being "bloomfield hills" I was surprised how many broken toys they had and toys that needed to be updated.
Staff are unfriendly
Beautiful and quiet library, however, I dislike that you must be a Bloomfield Township resident in order to take advantage of the study rooms.
Very nice place, friendly staff, good space for children to play and a good range of books in other languages.
Nice & welcoming atmosphere with lots of places to hang or and read or study
A gorgeous and well stocked library. Has plenty of soundproof study rooms, and countless floor to ceiling bookshelves to browse. An amiable and friendly staff tops this place off. Overall, phenomenal library
Well kept and lovely library. Plenty of seating area and the books are well spaced. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
