I honestly did not want to review this salon. Mostly because I feel bad about the review. I guess my expectations were too high and maybe that s my fault. I went in as a new guest for a haircut and highlight. The stylist asked me how blonde I wanted to go and I said eventually I would like to be all blonde but understand that it can take a few sessions (I am a medium brown). I also wanted to cut my hair up to my shoulders (it was to my middle back. It had been two years since I cut my hair and almost 4 since I ve had any dye in it. Which was professionally done). She asked for a picture and I showed her. It also had light purple in it. The stylist said it was very doable in that session but would take a little longer than a highlight. She quoted me $161~She foiled my whole head and things went as expected. She had a second stylist help her to get things done quicker. She also said I could get a shadow if I wanted. I knew what that was and said I think I would like that. After my hair processed she took the foils out and had me sit under a dryer for awhile. When I was able to see in the mirror I saw that my roots were so uneven and harsh. And my hair brassy. I asked if we would be able to tone it to the picture. She said yes. I was also told by another stylist that my harsh roots would soften eventually. Then the original stylist said she spoke to her boss and said with the purple it would be $260. I said okay. I thought it was a little high but agreed. Then she said my hair won t get to the color I wanted. So I said don t put the purple since I believed it wouldn t look right. She then said I could tone my hair warm or cool (mind you my hair was YELLOW at the moment). She showed me pictures on her phone and agreed to cool. She toned cool and I asked if the quote would be back to the original price and she said she couldn t remember because she had soo many numbers in her head. After toning, my hair was still quite brassy. She said it s because I chose a cool tone. And because Of the old dye. The old dye was cut off because it was over three years ago. If I would have chosen a warm then it wouldn t have been brassy. She noticed my roots were harsh and kind of blamed the other stylist that helped her. She did touch it up with dye the color of my hair and said that was for free and apologized. She then told me the price was $240. I was shocked. She said I could come back and get a free conditioning treatment. This whole process, to just bleach my hair took 5.5 hours. I just wanted to leave and get home. Honestly the hair isn t horrible but it most definitely is not a $240 dye and cut job, plus tip. I won t take the free conditioning offer. I also think the owner overworks the stylists and has them work on too many people at once, also expecting them to help out the other stylists making clients wait longer to be finished. I will say the stylist working on my hair was very nice, friendly and apologetic.
**edit. After washing my hair I noticed a bunch of brown spots all over where where the lighting didn t take.
