Course is fantastic and beautiful! Not terribly challenging but not easy either. Greens are fast. Service is great. Great food at clubhouse. Driving range balls are complimentary and you hit off grass instead of mats (huge plus). GPS carts. Overall a great course.

Played the course Friday 7/22/2016. This is great course and it is in excellent condition. The only problem here is no water jugs on the course. They said there was two cart girls that were stationed at only one hole each. They did not travel around the course. So my problem is, at 95 degrees and paying over 80 dollars to play I have to buy their water and I can.t find a cart girl. I had my own water bottle and refilled at the turn. The fist time I saw a cart girl was at the 14th hole. My friend bought 4 waters at the turn. So if you play this course in the summer stock up and bring a cooler. Hot weather can be dangerous . Blackstone National is playing with fire with a law suit on hand if someone drops on their course cause of lack of water just because they are too cheap to put water jugs on the course.

I like Michael Gordon. He is a good guy. I believe the past two years have been not the best here at Blackstone. BUT, I give him the benefit of the doubt and will say for the past ten years I have had a blast playing here at Blackstone.

This used to be a nice course but it has gone down hill in recent years. The range is in terrible condition with old beat up balls. The fairways and greens are terrible and there is no water on the course on hot days. Thinking of playing this course? Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. So many better options in the area.

I've only been here to eat at the restaurant (I'm not a golfer). The first trip here, the buffalo chicken wraps were amazing. They never lived up to my initial experience after that. The fries are OK. The flatbreads are good. I enjoyed dining out with friends/co-workers/family on numerous occasions, but each time (at lunch and dinner times), the wait staff was super slow.

A dog track. Terrible condition. Charged $65 which felt like I was taken advantage of. Wrote email to the director of golf and he never replied back. Obviously more interested in just taking people s money. Shameful. Would give zero stars if I could.

I've been playing here regularly for a few of years now. I've purchased the Blackstone card for a couple years in a row now which is the best deal in the metrowest/central mass area. 2020 has been a difficult year, but other courses have made it work, unfortunately Blackstone National has not. On more than one occasion this year tee times were backed up nearly 30 minutes and the starter/bag drop attendee had no idea what was going on. The greens were completely lost and the fairways were in horrible shape by the middle of August. I really hope that they are able to get it back under control and playable for the 2021 season, but the 2020 season was a major disappointment from August through the fall.

Joined the women's beginner league this year and I can't say enough how amazing the instruction is! I've been to another place that completely messed up my swing and was afraid to get back out there. After 10 years away from the game, Matt and his team of instructors Not only gave me the confidence to get back out there, but taught me so much more than I Could have hoped for.

Classic and stunning course. The food, service and staff at the Pub and Deck make the 19th hole the best hole of the day. Live entertainment, a putting course and driving range make it worth the trip. Can t wait to see the new post and beam barn when it is finished for special events!

Went 8/18/2020 didn t realize that it s twilight rate at $49 which was great. Only one very young man was at cart service and he s also a starter. He didn t seem to know what was the good service , not polite and not knowledgeable . Ppl were waiting ..very disorganized. My tee time delayed for almost 25 mins. Have to wait for the group in the front Every hole.
Staff are not trained well..WE Asked cashier and starter (at different time) about the restaurant hour.. they both answered I don t know
Nice course but will not return

The course didn't provide water during our 90 degrees plus round. At the completion of the round one of the cart boys confirmed our suspicions and stated "on hot days the people selling beverages do not put out water because they are selling bottles of water". I find that to be very irresponsible and upsetting. Would not go again.

The course layout is really cool. The bunkering is especially good. Currently though some fairways and most greens are in quite bad shape. It's summer and it's been hot but I'd consider these greens to be worse than almost everywhere else I've played this summer.

Great course in very good condition. Golf carts are all equipped with GPS, hole location, and pace of play which is a plus. Deducted a star due to the staff, particularly the rangers. One elderly ranger is particularly rude, and decided to criticize our pace of play even though the monitor clearly showed us playing ahead of pace. I also didn't see one beverage cart our last time out, which was very odd.

Played on 9/20/2020.It's a very nice course but they recently lost their irrigation system pump and with the severe drought we have been experiencing it has taken it's toll on the greens. There is quite a bit of dead grass on the greens all over the course. That in combination with core aeration that was done made the greens very tough to play. One good thing is they only charged $50 for greens fees with a cart for 18. They did not mention the course condition when we made our tee times. I'm sure it will come back at some point but just be aware if you play right now.

We were there few days ago. It used to be one of my favorite tracks, but the greens were in AWFUL shape. The thing is, I phoned before making tee time to check conditions since it is aeration season now. The pro shop just said "it's fine, and in 'playable' condition" Shame on me..

I just played Blackstone for the first time and fell in love. It was a quintessential New England course. The views were amazing and the course was in terrific shape for this time of year. Great leaf management - fairways and greens were worth the trip from Boston!

I was cursed off the course by the snack shack guy. Been coming here for years and the guy is one of the most miserable SOB I have ever met. Tried to even fight me because I asked why he decided to be rude to customers. You realize we have options and can go elsewhere right? My friends and my company who hosts outings here will not be back

I only have it 2 stars because this use to be my favorite course, but how things have changed since the last time (8yrs ago) I played it
Fairways are marginal, around the greens were spotty, and the greens were as bad as you can imagine, granted they did aerate a few weeks ago, but there is something wrong with them. Sad for me to say this cause of my fondness for the course, but only trying to be fair to anyone who reads tgis

I played last Sunday and the greens were so bad and the fairways so burnt, they should be ashamed of themselves charging $90 greens fees. Really sad, as the course was in top shape in years past.

Amazing venue, range, food, service, staff. Challenging and exiting track. Your first experience will be a memorable one! Absolutely love to play. And P.S the blackstone card may be the best deal in golf.

Last weekend was probably my eighth or so time playing here.
I've always enjoyed my experiences there so I was really looking forward to it.
The business and the course do not disappoint at all.
Staff from checkin to rangers to bartenders were more than helpful and accommodating...
Considering all the rain we've recently had, the course was playing quite well. Where there were some issues it was nothing they could have done about it.
Just needed to dry out a little bit more. Probably fine by now.
I will certainly be back again, but since I live in Mansfield, I can't get over there as much as I wish.
I think everyone will find it to be a challenging but very fair course. And also because of the location, some really nice views with the layout.

Best public course in Massachusetts and only 45 minutes from Boston. Rees jones designed this fabulous track and it shows in so many ways. Every hole is different and challenging in its own right. There is a free driving range (driver friendly) and an awesome resturant with a huge outdoor patio that over looks the 18th green. They serve up amazing food, ice cold beer, and cocktails, which is always fun after a round with family or friends. Blackstone National has it all and is fun for all ages. The staff is top notch, as well, which makes is why it is the best public course in MA and rivals some of the nice private clubs I've played through out New England.

Layout is very nice. Clubhouse is also nice. Setting is peaceful and rural. Unfortunately, the condition of the course is awful - everything is burned out, including the greens which are borderline unplayable.

Matt Stephens Director and head pro just don't ask to play golf with him and for a little$ on the line as his $ game comes out of nowhere that is why he got the nickname of the great Seve. The only place to play around Worcester county.
