Have been attending the church since we moved to the Madison area this past Fall. Have always enjoyed the teachings on Sunday no matter who is speaking. Have enjoyed being a part of their Men s community bright and early Thursday mornings... but there is at least bacon! And have loved being a part of our life group to help make the large church become smaller. All in all has been a great place to continue to grow deeper in my relationship with Christ our savior.

One church in three locations and building a community to reach a community. These phrase come to mind when people talk about Blackhawk church. I love this church so much. Everything is so including and outgoing, very centered in helping others and helping the world. This church has helped so many lives and inspired so many more. Best Sunday worship service anywhere.

There really aren t even words to describe this church - you have to experience it first hand. The inside is absolutely beautiful, and the children s area - oh my goodness. The painted walls and toys that are attached to the wall, are so cool! Everyone inside that church is super nice and helpful. The services are wonderful and I love that they make them so relatable to our actual lives. I always leave feeling like a huge burden of weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. It s the only place that gives me that feeling and really preps me for the upcoming week. I can t see myself ever going to another church again. Oh and they serve lots of free coffee with all kinds of creams and sugar :D! They also have a room separate from the two main worship rooms, basically for people with small children who aren t the most cooperate ;), that plays the service on a television and also has crayons and pictures for the kids to use. It s just an all around great place to be.

If you've ever had bad experiences with a church in the past, I would ask you to give Blackhawk a try. The teaching team and staff here do their best to avoid the pitfalls that other churches often run into. The kind of pitfalls that split communities and characterize Christianity as hateful. They will often explain clearly and with a strong biblical foundation why they operate the way they do, and it's quite refreshing. Especially when that very explanation then becomes an inspiring message that you can take home and apply to your own life. They are not afraid to talk about the topics that other churches find uncomfortable and offer support for many things such as mental health, addiction, and Divorce care. Best of all, they aim to be a loving community that welcomes all. "Building a community to reach a community". I'm sure that if you are skeptical about this whole "Christianity" thing, your last church experience has left you feeling down, or your just new to the area and looking for somewhere to plant some roots Blackhawk will be a breath of fresh air.

Floors were very slippery and there were no signs for it. My friend avery recently had hip surgery and now she has to go back and get another one because she fell and it completely tore her hip open again. Maybe it's a sign from the lord. Amen

The church feels big until you start volunteering ...

The church feels big until you start volunteering or join a small group. That's where community is built. I would recommend checking it out and joining either a life group or find a care ministry that helps you with your needs (e.g, divorce care, one on one care, etc.). There are hundreds of volunteers and staff who are waiting to connect with you and help you on your way to reconnect with God. This church is about relationships because God is about relationships. Don't be overwhelmed by the size of the building. If you live downtown Madison, check out the downtown venue in the Upper House. Just give it a try.

This is such an amazing church! Love the pastors who do not sway from the word of God! Though large congregation, many opportunities to meet people in small groups and tons of volunteer activities to serve each other and our community! LOVE this church and I praise God for it!!!

Bible truth taught here. That a Christian is one who has made a conscious decision to live their life God's way, with the knowledge that as much as they try, they will still stumble and fall, but that the grace of God covers those sins. Messages are taught by a rotating team of pastors and sent to three different venues within the building and two other sites (Fitchburg and UW Campus).

I did not have a good experience with this church. It is far west side. If you are not white and wealthy, you are not treated well. I reached out for some spiritual guidance, phone calls were not returned and there was mention of my financial status. Christians? Not in my opinion. And btw, I was not asking for any $$.

Amazing church and event venue. Their children's Ministry is really outstanding. Their are several opportunities for kids to take trips and do volunteer work in and around Madison. This church has three sites, so you can pick which one works for you.

This is an amazing, welcoming Christian church. Every sermon I learn something new and every teaching pastor is excellent.

While this is the main campus, there are convenient locations throughout the Madison area or you can "attend" online

Visited for the first time at the 8:00am service. Loved every part of the service-the music and singing, the passionate and captivating way the message was taught and presented, and the freedom to just be in the moment and experience it all. I loved it and will be back.
