Black & White Party Rentals Review

Our Creative Planning & Event Production team (based in Victoria) often works with Dave, Chris, and the team at Black & White and has many positive experiences with them. In 2018 they worked alongside our team on more than 10 wedding and events. Dave and Chris are always quick to respond to our planners with quotes and updates and the set-up and take-down crews are friendly and helpful. Looking forward to teaming up lots in 2019! Everything that I rented was ready for me when I picked it up. We rented two types of glasses, 10" plates, and cutlery. It was excellent quality and reasonably priced! I'll be back.

We had an awesome experience working with Black and White rentals for our wedding. We rented a big tent and chairs, and Dave was super helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. Our wedding was on Pender Island, and Dave was experienced and organized with the logistics for delivery, setup/takedown and pickup. Dave even went the extra mile to reach out to a previous client that had hosted a wedding at the same location for pictures to help with visualizing the wedding setup. I would highly recommend working with Black and White rentals!

I am not impressed by the rigid policy instated for rental of glassware and chairs at Black & White Event/Party Rentals. I had an order for 10 chairs and 20 wine glasses for tomorrow evening, and just called (10:45am the day prior) more than 24 hours in advance, and was told that my order cannot be adjusted. I no longer need all the chairs, and no longer need 5 wine glasses. Total value lost would be $15.75. It is disappointing that this is the business practice followed in a community as small as Parksville. Do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere for your event.

Excellent customer service from beginning to end. I had a large order for my wedding of 175 guests, and the staff were incredibly helpful with their knowledge and insight of the industry. There was even a slight mix-up where our lights were not set-up in the tent as was ordered, I made a quick phone call and by the time I was back at the venue they were just finishing installing the lights! Amazing all around.

I've had the pleasure of working with Black and White on several weddings and editorial projects. They've always been wonderful to work with. They have a great selection of items and offer great customer service and support.

Were pretty good, up until my wedding venue cancelled on me 6 months before my wedding and I need to cancel all my rentals and my wedding. I had paid a 2000$ deposit that was non refundable after December, I emailed January 30th to cancel my order and didnt get a response for weeks. When I finally did hear back I was told Dave would contact me. I still to this day have no confirmation my order is cancelled and wasnt offered any of my deposit back even though it was 6months ahead and our venue cancelled our reservation which was completely out of our control. Will never ever use them or refer them to others. I have emailed several times, 2 seperate individuals and the general information email address and had no response. Brutal customer service! If your not going to refund any of my deposit, which is a lot of money, fine but at least respond to emails and confirm cancellations.

They forgot to deliver drinking glasses for my wedding reception, so my guests had to drink out of paper cups AT MY WEDDING! I spoke to the delivery men when they picked our stuff up, and they told me to go back to the office to get it sorted (one of them turned out to be the owner). When I got to the office, the owner was very rude to me, blaming me that I didn't double-check my order. He refunded me the exact amount that I had already paid for the glasses that I never received, and not a penny more to make up for my time and hassle to drive way out to the industrial area of Parksville, nor for my embarrassment having to serve my guests out of paper cups at my wedding. My recommendation: go to Triple T Party rentals! Brutal customer service here! :(

Outstanding Service from beginning to end! We needed a floor and tent for our outdoor recital. When I first phoned I was not sure exactly what I needed. With in minutes Dave the owner called me back and two hours after that he was in my parking lot in Victoria, BC. He listened carefully to what my vision was and he made it happen. Dave had wonderful suggestions and is excellent at keeping in touch. Black & White Party Rentals arrived on time and came in on budget! The set up crew was professional, caring and did an outstanding job with both set up and break down. Next time I have an event my first call will be to Black & White Party Rentals. Thank you for the outstanding job!

Black and white always delivers quality and clean equipment to our events, from the staff at the office to delivery drivers (Damien) i can always count on them no matter what the task it.
