I like the atmosphere. The drink I tried was a black widow, and it was delicious. The only thing for me is that the cashier who served me didn t speak louder when I couldn t hear her and didn t announce my drink at the counter. Parking and seating is super limited but it is a locally owned place and it s popular!
Have been coming here frequently. It is a great coffee shop where you can enjoy the coffee, tea, or whatever other option that fancies you that they have to offer. I typically get the iced chai tea which seems to be my go to. If you have work to do, want yo get out of your house to study in a different environment, or simply want a place to relax or chat with friends this is nice cozy place to come to. The upstairs is nice too.
Solid coffee. No fussiness. Tasty drinks. Good pricing. No emphasis on lots of varietals or boutique brewing methods, which is fine because Black Crown is good at what they do.
Unrelated to their coffee, low-clearance vehicles might want to avoid the alley in the back due to the uneven gravel and divots.
Great Baristas making great coffee. The atmosphere is what I like about a coffee house. NEED TO OPEN THE UPSTAIRS!

The coffee was excellent! Space was unique with enough nooks & crannies that even when it was full you felt comfortable & had some privacy

If you knew what this place used to be you would realize it's light-years beyond what it used to be under previous ownership. I started coming around 99 when it was "SH." I since moved to New Orleans and am visiting back.... Haven't been inside this place in twelve years but the improvements are vast in cleanliness and quality. (there's no Aaron either... :P, **zing**!!) Coffee got better too. The covid precautions are a nice touch as well.
Wonderful, local, down to earth coffee shop. Their beans are the only ones we use to make our daily coffee! I love going in and trying their featured drink. My favorite has to be gingersnap latte or the brown thunder! Friendly staff and I appreciate their covid precautions. If you re in the area, pop in for a drink and grab a bad of beans!
Smaller place but has a cool vibe, social distancing protocols followed. They have a pretty diverse menu with a lot of interesting mixed of drinks. Very helpful and fast.
