One of the best sandwich shops in Toronto. Beef brisket is incredible. Staff is always friendly and tries to get the orders out as quick as possible. Pro tip - don't come between 12-1 as it's rammed.

From a cost perspective this is the upper of of sandwiches. But you get what you pay for. This is hands down the best sandwich in Toronto. It could possibly be the best sandwich in Canada. I'd love to put it to the test.

One of the best sandwich places in Toronto with good selection of sauce and toppings. I had the beef brisket and hands down, one of the bests in town! But do NOT let that throw a shadow on the veggie sandwich... it tastes sooo amazing and fresh. Totally recommend this place and we ll be back soon too.

Great people, great food, great service. I don't think I could ask for more. The folks at Black Camel make the best simple sandwiches I've ever had. And on top of that they're very reasonably priced. My favorite sandwich is their pulled pork with their house bbq sauce (which is amazing).

I've had several friends tell me the legend of this place. They would walk many blocks pre-COVID-19 to this place and time their arrival so the line-up wasn't so bad for them at lunchtime. No matter rain or shine, they always reported that it was worth the effort and wait.
As a person who was not raised on sammiches and who doesn't really ever have a craving for sandwiches, I can easily say that Black Camel has provided the some of the best hot sandwiches I've ever had and they are always consistent.

And I am a big fan of Rib Fests, so the beef brisket and pulled pork here that I've had in the past is like going to a gourmet rib fest that you don't have to wait once a year for.
Fully recommend.

What can be said about a place that regularly sells out of some sandwiches due to sheer client volume? It's because the sandwiches are bloody fantastic, that's why.

From the morning steamed egg and salmon, or pancetta to the brisket and vegetarian option. So good!!!

The staff were both friendly, and informative. I watched them help people put together an order they would enjoy. They explained the food, and what their top sellers were. I was salivating. As soon as I saw the BLT with chicken on the menu I knew that was exactly what I wanted. The sandwich was amazing, and I'll definitely be back to try the brisket!

This is a tiny place for amazing sandwiches that are addictive. I highly recommend coming for lunch and grabbing a herb chicken or pulled pork sandwich. Actually I'd go for any of the sandwiches. Word of caution though. Arrive earlier to make sure you get the sandwich you want and to avoid the crazy line ups.

The BEST beef brisket sandwiches in the city, by far. Actually, all their sandwiches are fresh and delicious. They are quite filling and the prices are reasonable. Whenever, I am in the Rosedale area, this is DEF my spot to go eat. If you are really hungry don't be afraid to try their homemade chili. Wish I had pictures to share.

It s real good - some say the best sandwich in Toronto. That said, it s not for everyone; the sandwiches can be quite saucy. The sauces are terrific, yes, but every time, there s sauce dripping and I open it to find some of the top and bottom bun saturated in sauces and it s not very pleasant. My girlfriend was very put off by her first experience because of things like this.

That said, the meat is second to none, the sauces are awesome, the toppings choices are pretty damn good. Shame the dine in area can t be more welcoming.

Litearally look for the sign that is a camel. This place is unfortunately very easy to miss but their sandwiches are great. They have a huge number of toppings to pick from and i havent checked the numbers but i think you could eat there once a day with different sandwich/topping combos and not eat the same thing twice for a year. The prices are alright, not too pricey.

Woohoo! As good as it gets!

All changes saved

This place is still as good as it gets for an absolutely delicious roast-something sandwich.

It's still as popular as ever especially on the weekends. People are more than willing to wait in the cold for these delicious combinations of carb and protein. It was particularly cold on a Sunday but there were still patrons eagerly awaiting their prized treasure.

I tried the seared steak sandwich this time with the house-made charmoula mayo. The steak is already pre-cooked to a nice rare.

I was too hungry and forgot to take a picture. LOL

You take a bite and the steak comes away easily with the bread. It's juicy and well-seasoned. The charmoula mayo is a nice complement of flavours with the steak.

Not healthy to eat this every day or weekend but it's great to treat yo'self every so often.

----------------------------
This place is a hidden gem for those that don t live in and around Rosedale but it s probably the worst kept secret for all the Rosedale regulars. Totally captivated by my experience here.

This place is popping for a small shop and seating is limited. There are several parks nearby so if it s a nice day, just cross the street and find a spot on the grass.

This place is perfectly spot on in their sandwich concept and delivers immensely on the taste!

Pick a protein.
Pick up to 2 free sauces.
Pick additional premium toppings on top (extra charge)
Unwrap the sandwich and take a bite.
Prepare to explode in deliciousness.

For my first (and definitely not last visit), I got the pulled roasted chicken with the basil pesto mayo and charamoula mayo. Anticipation was so high and that first bite was awesome.

The pulled roasted chicken was really moist and the two sauces gave it this really delicate garlic paprika savoury-ness and the lemon-pesto woke it up a little bit.

The bun is designed to absorb all that sauce and it has a nice crustiness that contrasts the moist meat in the middle.

We sat on the park bench across from the restaurant and just enjoyed taking satisfying bites of the sandwich until it was all gone.

Can t wait to try more sandwiches in the future.

This place is quite the hidden gem! Tucked in a corner right outside a ttc station(which is a HUGE plus) the food here is high on flavor/diversity without being high on price. The staff was super patient when dealing with first time customers (like me) and very courteous. More importantly, when I recieved my highly customizable sandwich it was suberb! Check this place out if you can!

Black camel has excellent sandwiches. You get to pick your meat, sauce, and extras to create the perfect combination for you. The space is small, with bat style seating at the window, and two tables for two. Much more a takeout then dine in place.

This use to be my go to spot for a quick meal in the City, but recently times have changed. Twice, I've attempted to order pick-up and got rejected. I called in on a Sunday at 7:15 pm to order pickup, they close at 8pm on Sundays. The girl who picked up said that they no longer do pick-up orders past 7pm and insisted I come inside the restaurant to order. I was pretty annoyed but I drove to the restaurant anyways. I arrived in front of the shop in 10 minutes and to no surprise, the restaurant was empty. For an establishment with no parking and the fact that they werent even busy , I'm deeply disappointed in Black Camel's new "policies" and I have to say that they've lost some customers.

I can see why there are lineups outside this place. Melt in your mouth beef brisket served in a sweet sauce reminiscent of tinned beans (a little odd), on a standard no-nonsense bun (could be improved)

... but honestly, the brisket is just that good.
