Honestly, the best sandwich ever. The beef brisket one... . Something about the meat and fat that works with the type of buns that they use. The buns soak up the fat yet it doesn't become soggy. The meat is not big and chunky but is thinnly sliced yet stacked together with the perfect amount. When you go at a non-busy time, it comes so fast. I find myself craving it. When I waiting in line to order, I always find myself wondering why I bother lining up for this... Then I take the first bite, and I'm reminded it is such a damn good sandwich. I finish it all the way to the end and I'm still so satisfied. Definitely recommend.

Hands down the best pulled pork sandwich in the ci...

Hands down the best pulled pork sandwich in the city of Toronto. If you come here for coffee, come hungry and get one of their succulent sandwiches too. Grab seconds if you can. This place is simple in essence, and they do it very well. Their menu is bang on in every aspect.

I d recommend to grab and go, as the space inside is limited. But I am telling you, you will not be disappointed in their product.

Hands down the best sandwiches that Toronto has to offer!! I crave it and it's perfect every single time. There's something about the meat and the bread that just works so perfectly together. Beef brisket is good but my go to is the pulled chicken with the pesto basil mayo, onions and roasted peppers. So good and worth the line up even when it's out the door.

7.00 + 1.70 can drink, just meat on a roll, pick a sauce, 6 to 8 patio fold up chairs in a grab & go take out set up. Meh if you are hungry with $$$. The brisket beef has fatty chewy of course. The chicken and pork is equivalent to about a large laddlefull. This place also has thin rickety metal tables for 2 or 4 outside with the same thin foldup patio chairs alongside smog from traffic (uncomfortable).

Got takeout sandwiches. Beef is the best! So tasty. There was a lineup due to covid measures but it was manageable. I just think it would make more sense to take orders and pay outside instead of going inside to place order and pay then go back out to wait for your order. Overall good!

Hard to believe it's taken this Toronto foodie so long to try Black Camel! Everything I've heard about this place is true: the sandwiches are phenomenal. I had to try the Beef Brisket first but will be going back to try the rest of the lineup very soon. Added the BBQ sauce, Charamoula Mayo, and arugula; excellent combo!

Not quite best brisket in the city (that now goes to the Greenwood Smokehouse...) but best brisket west of the Don River imho. Really nice selection of toppings as well. A bit on the small side but they've designed it well so there's spots to sit and eat along the side.

The Black Camel is hands down the best sandwich shop in the city. Most of the sandwiches are very messy, and very good. So not always a great combo when you have just done your laundry and pressed your shirts.

Delicious fresh made sandwich - I had the brisket and shared it as an afternoon snack. Lovely fresh, soft bread and the sandwich fillings are fresh, and made with a lot of care to result in a really craveable sandwich!

Limited variety of burgers. I liked the buns they use a lot but was disappointed with the pulled chicken they serve (no other chicken option) which was kind of bland for my taste. Friends liked the beef options and enjoyed their burgers.

The beef brisket sandwich is to die for. And the coleslaw is crispy and more vinegar than overly-creamy. In short. It s perfect. Have one of these sandwiches and you ll realize life is better than you thought.

Worth going out of your way. Worth a long subway ride to rosedale just for the sandwich. Worth using an entire lunch break to wait in line to get the best sandwich Toronto has to offer. Worth giving up a life of vegetarianism to taste the most perfect bread wrapped pulled pork you may ever have someone offer you. I once walked two hours when the TTC was down to enjoy one of these beauties (it was worth it, but wouldn t do that again).

I used to regularly visit The Boar up in Davisville when it still existed. First tip of advice is make sure you come hungry because these amazing Kaiser sandwiches will FILL YOU UP. Today I tried their slow roasted pulled pork with their house BBQ sauce, and I literally downed it in 15 min. Such a tasty sandwich, and I really enjoyed the hint of molasses I tasted in the sauce.

I had the Beef Brisket with bbq sauce and caramelized onions, excellent combination and great costumer service and environment. I am not giving the 5 stars because when I tried to tip for the great services the only option was in cash which I didn't have on me. Personally i ve worked in restaurants before and I know how important it is for the workers, they work hard for their money, so I was a little disappointed for that reason. Other than that this is a great place to eat.

Kind of a bare-bones place, but wow these are great sandwiches. As I said to my girlfriend, I wanted to say the bread makes it, but then again, it's the sum of the parts. Everything about these sandwiches is good. They're fresh, tasty, not too dry, not sopping wet. Just right.

I had the pulled chicken sandwich with chipotle aioli and BBQ sauce with mushrooms and onions. I'm 2000 miles away right now but I'm salivating just thinking about it.

Can't wait to go back!

Love from the first bite!!! I shared the beef brisket with caramelized onion, BBQ sauce and chipotle mayo and the chicken with garlic mayo and allow roasted tomatoes. The meal was perfect. Went after rush hour, wasn't too crowded, received the food within few minutes. Place is very small, limited seating. My only suggestion is they would add an option of a bigger size sandwich. One wasn't enough to fill me. Wish they would open another location downtown.

Very cozy neighborhood coffeeshop. Can be a wee busy with people buying lunches and the like, but the coffee is good and the vibe is solid. Not ideal for digital nomads, but the nearby park is a great place to grab a coffee and smoke a joint. Great place for local coffee lovers, just avoid during peak hours.

Whenever I am in the area, which is often, I can't help but stop in and grab a bit from this neighbourhood staple. It is so worth it and always consistent. Sometimes they sell out of specific menu items, so follow them on twitter if that would be a concern. Love this place I will always keep going back.

This was my first time there but I already loved this place so much. The women working there are very very nice, they treated me as if we had been long time friends, and same for everyone who walked through the door. If I could give this place 7 stars I would.

This place is clean and well cared for and the food is satisfactory. But it smells like rotten meat and spices all the time. The smell is so bad at times that i can smell it when i come out of Rosedale subway station across the street. It takes every ounce of self control for me to not wretch. Please spray somethkng. If there was a tims near by i would never even dream of setting foot in there.

The absolute best pulled pork (or chicken) sandwich in Toronto. Not many places to sit, so usually a take out experience. I've always had excellent service, despite the apparent hipster factor (the location has no name, only an image of a camel in black), everyone is very friendly. The sandwiches come with the choice of two sauces, and the BBQ + Chipotle Mayo is an excellent combo (as is the Pesto and Mayo).

Wonderful little spot. I've heard great things about the sandwiches here and it definitely delivered. I split 2 sandwiches with a friend (pulled pork and beef brisket) and they were both delicious. Great proportions of meat to bun, and a good sized sandwich overall. The guys/gals working here are great too.

One of my favourite sandwich shops. It's a small unassuming easy to miss spot, you can find it by the telltale black camel on the sign. The shop has a nice vibe, clean, and simple. There are a couple of seats but we usually get takeout.

I've tried the beef brisket and the seared steak. The seared steak is my favourite. It's medium rare, the way I like it. I usually garnish it with charamoula mayo (2x, trust me it's delicious), arugula, and roma tomatoes. The roasted eggplant and grilled onions are also solid choices. The bun is soft and delicious.

One of my favorite Sandwich spots in the City! A tiny little joint that doesn't disappoint! The buns here are soft like baby marshmallows plucked from a tree. Of all sandwiches my favorite is the beef brisket sandwich w/ caramelized onions and horse radish sauce; A great combination! If that doesn't tickle your tongue, let me hear about it! This place is close by a park, take your sandwich to go and enjoy it over some shade and a picnic table!

Nice place overall, did enjoy it and probably would go back again but not sure about a 10/10 unless I caught it on a bad day. Brisket was very good, Pulled Pork was below average. If you re in the area I d recommend to try it and stick with the brisket if possible.
