Really good food. We have been here several times and every meal was tasty; service great; atmosphere relaxing; today it wad gnocci for me and eggplant for my husband both dishes tasty and the portions generous. They are not overpriced.

We have been there 3 times.Each time we ordered a different dinner.Always great.Our waiter Diago was wonderful. We went on a Saturday night so we could enjoy the music. OMG just fabulous. Danced the night away. Ty to the owners for all they do

We waited 45 minutes to get waited on ( not even water)and that was only after a member of our party went and found the owner. If you r in your 80's you will get better service. Food was marginal.

Some dinner dishes are very bland. I have had good lunch salads there before.

What a fun place! The jazz was terrific with audience members joining in to play during the evening. The sessions run 5:30-8:30 Tu & Thur. The calamari was delicious and so was the caprese handburger. Go!!

Great early dinner, just Wendy and I! Great food, great service I had a restricted diet prior to the Pet scan and they did some extras for me which was very kind.

We went there tonight for dinner, got seated and waited 17 minutes for service. No one ever came back to take our drink order or even give us a menu. Terrible service!!

Friendly environment, staff & excellent food. Live Jazz band was playing when we stopped in. Would recommend it off you're in the area.

Grilled Chicken Salad. Chicken was tasty. Salad left a lot to be desired. Lettuce mix and one tomato wedge. Boring.

I've have just a about all the pizza available in the Venice area. This is consistently the best in town. Good beer selection on draft. Also a little more upscale than your average bistro. Wonderful!

You haven't had Gnocchi until you've had it here. EVERY single bite is amazing. I cannot say enough about how amazing this meal was.

Average food across the board. My parents were regulars here so I join them once in a while. The food quality is literally different every single time I eat here. I don t see how you can be so inconsistent..

Incredible Italian Restaurant

Large variety of lunch options. Grouper wrap was the best we've had. Daughter had Chef's salad and I really enjoyed the Chicken Ceasar served on a homemade Italian roll. Cesare provided excellent service. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner. They also have live music in the evening and a dance floor.

My first time there. The atmosphere was very nice. 3pc. Jazz band ,keyboard bass chello ,sax. The owner Nella sang 2 songs. She was adorable. Food was good.

Great atmosphere, warm people, and homemade Italian food. Mama I am home! The serving size is large so share or order from the appetizer side and load up on bread. I love the eggplant Parmesan, the bruschetta when they have it on special in season is amazing. The mussels....OMG try everything. I go back each time and try something else and I usually bring a friend so I don't have left overs.

Geriatric jazz, institutional food, inattentive wait staff. However, the place attracts and caters to a very old and loyal crowd . It was clear that folks were enjoying themselves. God bless them. The food might have been better, but the prices are good. At age 70, I felt young there.

Excellent! Nice Italian menu, friendly service. Service was slow, especially for a weekday evening but delicious food. I would definitely go back.

The dining is fantastic, I love everything on the menu. Staff is warm and friendly, very attentive even when you know their slammed

Great food, but horrible service. Not intentional, just incompetence. Seated immediately, but had to wait 8 minutes for water. Then 22 more minutes for menus. Then 32 minutes to take orders. Food arrived 24 minutes later (acceptable). Except...one of us did not receive their food. 7 more minutes for them. No refills on water or drinks during meal. No checking on us during meal at all. They didn't clear our plates until we started to stack are own dishes. No bill given until 17 minutes after table cleared. Another 12 minutes until bill payer got up to hand the bill to the waitress who was chatting with co-worker at the bar. She didn't return for another 7 minutes because she had to stop and chat with two different groups of regulars who were leaving the restaurant. Yes, i timed it all because of the previous comments about slow service.

Good food, always. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. You can eat in or outside, social distancing. Music is always good.

Fun place to hang out because of the music and ambiance. Food was okay. Served drinks immediately, but had to flag down several people to get our meal order placed. Then probably waited over an hour to get our meal. Followed by a wait to get our checks and again to actually paying the checks. Allow plenty of time for your meal.

The entertainment by Dave Collins was great and the chicken marsala was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Went for lunch on Thursday. Not our first time here and definitely not our last. Their pizza is really special. Everything fresh and the crust was perfect. Service was Excellent - Cesare took good care of us.

Wonderful place to eat, excellent food! They have been like family to my uncle for 27 plus years. He will truly miss them since moving to Kentucky with us. We will hopefully be back before Christmas for a visit.

Ordered the burrata salad as I LOVE burrata. Was disappointed that I got a lump of tasteless mozzarella. Hubby's chicken parmigiana was mediocre. Had high hopes as place is nice and service great.

This is my only negative review in the 9 years I have been in the Sarasota/Venice area. It was a very busy night, but there was no excuse for this poor service. Extremely unorganized establishment. From not having my reservation written down, and seating us at a table reserved for someone else (where immediately one of the waiters rudely made sure we didn't stay at that table), the night started off bad and only got worse. Our waiter acted like we were there just to socialize and not eat, which was not true. We got one drink each, no water refills, and managed to get one appetizer in the span of 3 hours. We would have paid for dinner and enjoyed it if offered, as the food did look good and the appetizer we got was well prepared. It took an hour just to get the bill, but boy did he come back quickly once we put cash in the bill holder. There was one woman who acted like she knew what she was doing and cared, but the rest of the staff did not. We felt very unwelcome and will not return.

Very good Italian restaurant that has both a quiet dinning room and a lounge with live music.

Absolutely the BEST Italian broccoli rabe and sausage dish! Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and the other menu items are excellent as well. Definitely worth checking out.

Went on 1/20/18 for the 1st time and it was great. It was my WIFE'S BIRTHDAY.THE DRINKS AND THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. THE MUSIC AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS ALSO GREAT AS A CHEF FROM NYC THE PORTIONS ARE GREAT I BOUGHT FOOD HOME. THE OWNER WORKED THE FLOOR SERVING FOOD,DRINKS AND CLEANING THE TABLES WITH HER STAFF WHICH YOU DONT SEE THAT IN AN RESTAURANT THAT'S A BOSS. I WOULD GO BACK ANYTIME AND RECOMMEND ALLEGROS BISTRO TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Went with a party of 7 and our service was very slow and then our waiter informed us that another waiter took our meals to another table. We had to wait some more. They offered us soft drinks, but we declined. Finally got our dinners and the food was very good. It took us over 2 hours to have dinner.

They don't have much for me to eat, unfortunately. I have to eat gluten free because of celiac disease. The waiter wasn't knowledgeable and didn't offer to ask the chef questions or anything. I asked lots of questions, but got few answers. The service was slow and the dishes were dirty. Not really my jam so I won't go back.

Arrabiatta was outstanding.
Lobster ravioli was superb.
Wine pours were generous.
Prices reasonable.
The karaoke singers were, well, let s just say they were good sports with good intentions.

Always enjoy this place, different programs each evening, Bella maxes us feel very welcome.

Thanks for not providing us any service. This seems to be the norm for this place. We have tried many times and seems this has become a routine. Cant even get someone to the table. Sit and wait 15 minutes, no one shows. We are done with this place.

Great food and service if you get me. Live music every night we're open.
