Bistro Allegro Review

Allegro's is one of my FAVORITE places! The food is TERRIFIC! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, clean, and quite enjoyable. We especially enjoy the music and small dance floor. The whole experience is a bit upbeat and fun! We're going back next weekend!

Allegro Bistro wins the award for the worst service in Venice. Waited two and a half hours for food that never arrived for a table of 6 people. Others who arrived after our party were served, ate, and left ... while we got nothing. When we complained to both the waitress and the owner there was no apology or explanation. We left and went to another restaurant where we were served dinner in less than 30 minutes. Give this restaurant a pass!

Food was good. Waiter not so good. Must have had a bad day.

It was great. The food was very good. Service was great. Enjoyed the Allegros performing. It's a fun place to go to. People seemed happy and having fun. For sure I'll be coming back.

Decent Italian food, less than average service. The inside is rather dark, crowded with odd decor, but it's quiet enough to have a pleasant conversation which is nice. The is an adjoining old fashioned lounge with live entertainment for a change of pace.

Very good food ... they have live music 6 days a week ... I just can not say anything bad ..... well they should be open late on Friday and Saturdays ....

Fun and great food.... slow service, but it was pretty busy with karaoke too....

Great place to dance on Friday nights. Older crowd for sure though.

Outstanding meal. My mussels were small, clean and delicious. Their sauce was a light red tomato which had some bacon to make it interesting. Wife's carbonara was good, if non-standard with a light Alfredo sauce, as per the menu, so no surprises. The calimari was very light, and they had a fantastic taste, and perfectly (!) cooked. Service was excellent. Didn't look at the wines, but they had a bunch of beer on tap and in bottles. I stuck with Peroni.
Live music and dancing was fun, as were our fellow diners. One of our new favorites near Venice.

Good food, good music slow service, if you just want to eat.

Initially I was not expecting the amazing atmosphere and community feeling that Allegro Bistro supplied, but I was happily suprised.

The food was almost as great as the friendliness, and the menu had many options. If you are coming from a smaller town I highly recommend this restaurant to give you a similar feel, or if you are just looking for a fun place to have a meal.

Worst service ever. Took us 45 minutes to get a drink, I t least 45 minutes after we ordered to get meal then asked twice for checks fifteen minutes apart before we got them. Won't be back.

Initially I loved the atmosphere. It is decorated nicely with a nice atmosphere. The problem is there defintly IS NOT enough service help. There was only one bartender for a large bar plus a number of high tops plus another section of stools that face the music. It was impossible for one person to handle all of this. The result was my food was delivered and my friends came out 10-15 min later. My food was barely warm. I was never offered salt, pepper and cheese and had to wait till I could get the attention of the bartender. We had to ask for everything from more water, our check etc., etc. This was not the bartenders fault. It was just impossible to handle such a large space with so many customers. And the bartender did offer to take back my plate to warm it but by the time Iwas able to tell her that my food was barely warm was when she was delivering my friends food and by that time my meal was almost half gone and I had to wait so long to get it initially, I was starving so I declined. They need to hire more help. I m not sure if I will return. I do love Valentis though which is owned by the same people.

Waitress was appalling, atrocious time management. Food was avarage. This is not your fine dining. Avoid!!

The Allegro bistro is amazing!!! The food, service, music, etc. just can't be beat!!! If you like jazz......this is the place, but call in for a reservation as it is packed!!! Be sure you stay till the end.....always a great finale!!!

Service was horribly slow and food was lukewarm at best

Very friendly staff, reasonable prices and they don't skimp when serving you a glass of wine.

Arrived at 6 am and left at 8:15ish, if u go there u might want to tell them what time you want to leave by!

And here is the issues why, 20 minutes later after arrival Nellie shows to take your drink order and at the time we have her take our food order that is a must to do!

If u want drinks order tea or coke u will get that quickly but a cocktail you ll have to ask where it is and 20 min later it arrived.

Water make sure you ask for a picture because you will have to hunt someone down .

Back to the soft drinks, you will get your 2nd refill very quickly about after you have drank 5 sips (not that u need that yet but after u watch your evening unfold they get a 5 star for that).

Don t forget to check on food
order because you will think she forgot to put your order in.

Food finally arrives nice presentation, big portions and that bottomless plate of pasta that never ends all those things are great, but sorry if it doesn t taste good well then who cares! Out of the 5 meals we had there was one outstanding piece and hands down I would go back for the MEAT SAUCE! Everyone agreed after only eating half of our meals!

I ordered the chicken allegro the only taste to the whole meal was the Italian season they put way way way to much on !

One last note when you get your food ask for check because if you do they will shorten your departure time possibly.

Hello owner maybe u should hire more waitress, Cooks and a water girl!

Second time this season that the service was terrible. Didn t get waited on, waitress was AWOL all evening. Had to go track someone down to get more water and to get our check. Pizza came with only 1 of 3 ingredients ordered. Can t imagine we will go back.

Great flat bread pizza, but needs more servers when busy. Some folks got tired of waiting and left.

Had baked lasagna and wife had eggplant parm. Outrageously delicious!!! We'll definitely be back. Great atmosphere as well!!! Loved it!!!

Nice Italian food and atmosphere with good pizza. Service was so-so, a bit slow.

I eat at Allegro Bistro several times a month as I attend various networking functions that hold their meetings here, one being my own women's group which meets here monthly. The food is ALWAYS top-notch. I have NEVER had a complaint and certainly have never had to return my food to the kitchen. "Mama" Nella, Chaz and the rest of the staff are ALWAYS friendly, efficient, and more than willing to accommodate the various "special" needs of our groups; they even have gluten-free menu options! Entertainment is available most evenings and if you're extra lucky, you may even get to hear Mama herself sing for you!

Allegro Bistro is such a pleasant place to have one of best meals in Venice. This Italian Restaurant, is authentic in its ingredients and presentation, but the true sensation is eating everything. From the Calamari to our meals such as, Sausage and Broccoli Rabe, Spaghetti a la Carbonara and of course, a Chicken Parm. The owner was such a delightful woman, proud of her heritage and a pleasure to speak with about the restaurant. You'll definitely come back to this place.

Excellent did and atmosphere, server rarely came to check on us. Had to flag someone to get drink refills and flag down another staff member to get a check. So definitely stop by, just hope you don't get Derek.

I'm hungry right now and still thinking about your burger. It was SO GOOD. I think you deserve MORE THAN 5 STARS. Everything that we had was great, and the people were ultra-friendly. Best place I've been to in a while. Keep up the good service!

Food was excellent, but service was
non- existent. Waitress never showed up after serving our meals. Music/ singer was good. Would never go back again.

Weds karaoke is fun and tyne Barmaid is AMAZING!!! Excellent food...owner is very sweet...

Nella, the owner, is there almost every day from open to close... When she is not her son is. Both great you like family. Their food is made fresh every day, the portions are large enough that you take some home. It is truly made with love. They have music almost every night. If you enjoy wine, ask Nella for a recommendation she is an expert.

There is no better place within 25 miles for breakfast. And no other restaurant can beat their prices....Ask for Kelly, best waitress.....

Had a fantastic time at Allegro Bistro. The Chicken Caesar Wrap and Fresh Grouper Wrap were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Thank-you Nella and Chef Frank!!

Was very disappointed in the service. We was ignored the whole tI'm we was there the waitress brought the food never came back to check on us went to 2 tables on each side of us we tried to get her attention a few times and was ignored my sons hamburger had blood coming out of it and looked raw. He ordered it well done. Had to ask a different waitress to fix it and by the time he got it the rest of us were done eating so he had to take it to go. Will never go back there again!

The people in the staffer for nominal they strive to make your meal better each time

I want to say the food and service was excellent ,the owner was absolutely the best,music was great, the only problem is we don't live here full time and can only eat there when we come to town.

Best Italian food in Venice! I was raised in NJ..I have been to many NJ and NY restaurants. Allegro has a fantastic broccoli rabe and a magnificent Clear Shrimp Scampi sauce..love these dishes..authentic Italian. Garlic, lemon..wonderful melange of tastes. So refreshing to find this quality Italian in FL..my brother had the eggplant..primo! Great restaurant..Family..I highly recommend.

Absolutely a lovely evening. Great food lovely atmosphere and fellowship. First time there with our friends and will definitely go back.

Good for dancing and they have a good bar, the food is only okay.

Just went to this restaurant went inside to say we like to sit out side to have lunch the lady said we had to come inside i said we will go else where she said good to me will never go back

I attended the Gulf Coast Women in Business luncheon at this venue. Excellent Foid, service in a wonderful setting.

Food was very good. Big portions. The waitress had a very bad attitude. Don't think I will be back.
