I stayed here recently for a weekend and it was such an amazing Ubud experience! It was a combination of luxury, comfort, and nature all in one place. I loved all of the details and the food in the restaurants was amazing as well. The staff is very nice and accommodating and there is a shuttle that takes you into town. I stayed in the jungle suite and absolutely loved the wood tub and the balcony with the view of the lush trees. The infinity pool was divine and the afternoon tea is lovely. I loved my stay. Don't even hesitate, just stay here.

Such luxury in the style of W. Modern, technological, urban, expensive - in the sense, looks and feels expensive. The worm does not gnaw "well, it is not very clear what we are paying for." Probably, you expect something stylistically different from Bali, but if you like just such an atmosphere, then here it is realized at the highest level. We stayed at my DR, the staff organized the morning piece of cake themselves, no one asked - and such attention to detail, of course, attracts guests.

We stayed in Ubud for a few days and overall, the experience staying in this hotel was superbly fantastic. We were greeted by the hotel staff upon arrival with refreshing drinks and cold towels. We were then brought to our room which was exceptionally clean and beautiful. The room was very spacious and also included a japanese inspired wooden bath tub which was a really big plus. The hotel's design combined modern architecture with Balinese aspects to create a quiet , serene and relaxing ambience. The breakfast included is one of the best breakfasts we've ever had from all of the hotels that we've stayed in. The view from the hotel restaurant which was a rooftop terrace overlooking the jungle was pretty nice as well. The food from the restaurant were delicious and fairly priced. Not to mention the infinity pool with the jungle view! The hotel staff were all polite and hospitable. They also have a free shuttle service going to Ubud centre which came in handy. All in all, I would surely come back to this hotel, and would highly recommend it to all people planning to stay in Ubud.

Noisy hotel and poor service. A new building is being built right next to the pool, and as a result the pool is impractical without ear plugs between 10am and 4pm 7 days a week. Beside, pool towels were in poor condition, edges were ripped and towels were not soft (definitely not like in 5 star hotels). We had drinks by the pool and as we did not take our cash/card to go swimming they harassed us later by calling the room twice and ask us to go paying.. (you normally settle those bills upon departure...) On the bright side, we stayed in a forest suite with a stunning view on the jungle and we enjoyed the round bamboo bathtub!

Bisma Eight is absolutely beautiful. Great location, the staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are awesome and the pool has a great view. The only thing that was dissapointing was the breakfast, when paying so much for a hotel, I expected every meal to be of a high standard, unfortunately the breakfast is extremely basic and really small servings. You also have to pay for additional sides which I think is a bit ridiculous considering most hotels offer a buffet breakfast. Overall great stay but just eat breakfast at the surrounding cafes.

We have a great spacious room with doors that opened up to our own sort of mini rainforest. Staff were friendly, gym though a bit limited was sufficient and had one of my best coffees in the beautiful and quite cafe just around from the library. Nice infinity pool with views of the forest.

From the second I stepped into Bisma Eight, it felt like home. In fact, I rarely left the room. To make things easier for everyone, I am reviewing this place according to what I have experienced - room, wifi, pool, restaurant, cafe and staff. I stayed at the canopy suite for 2 nights. 1. Room - I was welcomed with a welcome drink and fruits, and from the moment I checked in, the staff showed me around the room and explained to me the details of the room. What intrigued me was the design of the room. It was very minimalist yet it had everything that I needed. The room was spacious and cosy. Couch and bed were super comfy, toilet was big and very well equipped too. Coolest part for me was the huge wooden Japanese tub as it was a first for me. 2. Wifi - Super fast wifi throughout the entire hotel! Not sure if that has to do with the fact as there weren't many guests but I wouldn't expect a place like Ubud to have really fast wifi. 3. Infinity Pool - Pretty clean with a nice view of the Ubud forest. As I went during low season, I had the pool all to myself most of the time. 4. Restaurant and Cafe - Interesting fusion food at reasonable price. I did notice that prices at copper restaurant were slightly on the high side, but personally I wouldn't mind paying for good quality food. The ambience and atmosphere didn't seem overly fancy to me too. Even though it was a restaurant-like setting, but I still felt very comfortable even though I turned up wearing a tee and shorts. Coffee was pretty good too. I had a nice chat with the barista at the cafe, and even though his english wasn't good, I liked that he was trying his best to have a sincere conversation with me. 5. Generally, everyone was very warm at the hotel and they greeted you everywhere you went. Their command of English may not be the best, but at least they're sincere and warm. Overall, I must say that the Bisma Eight team are doing a wonderful job of giving customers the whole Ubud experience. There are a few teething problems here and there, and the location of the hotel may be a bit difficult to find (it's quite deep into Jalan Bisma), but for the price, service and experience, I would definitely be back.

Beautifully designed hotel, they really worked hard at allowing nature to reclaim the building - it looks and feels incredible to be surrounded by it. The pool is amazing, breakfast, lunch and dinner... all tasty, and the service was perfect. During our stay we enjoyed complementary cocktails, daily yoga classes and a cooking class! Great location too, only a short walk to the Monkey Forest, bars, market etc.

Had a magical stay at bisma 8, we were recommended this place to stay by two groups and it lived up to their reviews! We've just left and it's perfect for young families, couples etc. it's a small boutique hotel and you receive exceptional service which feels in line with a smaller hotel. We travelled with our 10 month old son who loved the hotel, it's boutique and feels small and warm. We especially loved the design, the great food, the service and kindness from the staff who after only a few days felt like friends. They all adored my son and played with him, we also used their babysitter and had a night out ourself. 5/5!

Before embarking on a solo adventure over to Singapore, I knew I wanted to take a few days and make a short visit over to Bali. I ended up booking my stay at Bisma Eight. To say this was a perfect stay might be an understatement because it was above and beyond perfection. Service here was outstanding and each of the employees of Bisma Eight truly make a guest feel welcomed and valued. I loved everything about Bisma Eight. I was kindly upgraded to a Canopy Suite and enjoyed the treetop balcony room views as well as the room itself. The bed was comfy and the room had all the amenities I could possibly need. Also, the Japanese soaking tub is not to be missed! My room was clean and well-prepared upon arrival. The infinity pool is very nice and I spent most of my day lounging and reading outside. I spent a rainy afternoon writing in my journal at the Library Cafe, and had a fantastic latte to boot. Copper Kitchen was go-to for meals since it was within Bisma Eight and had a plethora of delicious items. I highly recommend staying at Bisma Eight if you are looking for a perfect, relaxing, accommodating stay in Ubud. I will be back!

Highly recommended! Wonderfully serviceminded and friendly staff, they are accommodating and willing to help with anything. An extra plus when traveling with children is that they are fantastically child-loving and take care that even the little ones should be happy. The food at the hotel is good and reasonably priced. The location is perfectly centrally located, a crossroads in from one of the larger and about 10min from Monkey Forest. This means that you can quickly and easily get to sights and restaurants, but at the same time it is quiet in the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fresh. The lush garden without the rooms enhances the wonderful feeling of living in the middle of the jungle and the beautiful pool area creates a feeling of luxury. If you travel to Bali you have to go to Ubud and then this is where you should stay!

Wish to advise potential guests that there some construction works both sides of the hotel ( not advise by hotel at time of booking) They even distribute ear plugs at the pool for guests use... Forest suite where we stay is run down, the wooden cabinet can hardly close, the sofa needs special cleaning attention. The suite is very humid. More than 10 min to get a coffee at breakfast as the staff have to go to the library lounge to get coffee ! Staff have to be trained how to cook eggs...overcooked eggs benedict undercooked fried eggs... Pool furniture totally run down : matress on certain pool lounging chairs keep sliding , umbrellas dirty ! Water in pool is milky and not transparent... Service in the room not consistant it seems that there is zero quality control! We were totally dissapointed by this property and we strongly advise customers not to patronise this property. We believe they live on their original success !

After similar prices resorts in Bali I was really underwhelmed with Bisma. We found it to be overpriced and not as warm welcoming as the other resorts we stayed in. The room was really dark even with all the lights on and the service not as attentive. The breakfasts were also average....it's still a lovely hotel and great pool area just didn't live up to what I expected from all the great reviews and comparing to other resorts that were cheaper.

Had a good full-moon dinner at their upper terrace restaurant during a balinese dance performance with live traditional music. The food was very good - I recommend the duck leg, which was very tender. The staff was friendly and polite. All together certainly worth it, but eating out seems somewhat more pricey than in other places I'm used to.

Amazing and very relaxing hotel in the busy Ubud. Here you feel that you are in a completly different place!!! Room was amazing, big and very clean!!! Staff is very friendly always with a big smile! Complementary afternoon tea (1 per stay) was a good surprise! Cocktails were very good, try the signature ones! Well cooked and delicious breakfast served in the roof top! Didn't try the swimming pool but it looked great! It was my birthday during my stay, and what a great surprise when I received a delicious chocolate cake!!! I thought that was the night service but instead was this very nice surprise! Thanks a lot Bisma!!!

One of the best hotels I visited recently. Recommended for couples as it is very romantic. The service is excellent, as I left a message of a birthday occasion of my partner, and i found a surprise cake with very sweet message from the management. The swimming pool is very beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious, it was included but a la carte, where you pick the menu that you prefer out of 4 variety.

I can give the good credit for the room and restaurant interior and the hotel staff but there are some issues the hotel need to consider for future improvements. The entrance of the hotel - it didn t look like hotel lobby I thought it was someone s parking lot. The pool - I think the hotel didn t change the water for a long time, it looked like light milk tea and the Very poor quality of beach towels. The room - paper thin interior walls. I could heard everything from hallway and next door. And the last There are CONSTRUCTION next to the hotel from 10am to 4pm. It is not a hotel property but I think hotel need to give a information to the guest before book this hotel. If you want to stay this hotel i recommended take regular room because the construction is going on next to the suite room last number with 1

I spent 4 nights in this lovely boutique hotel. I had a standard double room, that was more like a suite, however. Very nice interior and very spacious. The minuses were: no shower hose, the door to the terrace was broken and could not be opened for fresh air and the bed linen had some suspicious yellow staining (sic!). I had breakfast included but that meant I could order only a limited number of foods from the breakfast menus. Just one croissant and not two for example. Also bottled water is not included, just tap water. And the coffee is very sour / I could not drink it (like in most cafes in Ubud). If I ordered food it was quite expensive and rather average quality. The pool area (infinity pool) with a great view is awesome. Because it is west view and the beach umbrellas are rather small there is no shadow in the afternoon. After all a really nice hotel that unfortunately failed in too many details.

Very very very nice hotel! The stay was completely successful. The staff is super friendly. The Forest Suite was the blast. Especially the breakfast in the room was awesome. I will miss the chia pudding very much. Here you can just relax. Great sunsets. The food by the pool is also delicious. The hotel is in a good location and man walked to the city in 10-15 minutes! The gym is a bit small and there is no spa. These are 2 small criticisms. We stayed 5 nights and it was great! I can also recommend the tour with the hotel's own shuttle. Friendly drivers and you will be provided with everything (even wifi).

Five star boutique hotel. Bisma Eight was right up our street. A modern take on Ubud, a lot of concrete and contemporary design mixed with five star service from all of the staff and amazing food at the restaurant. Our only really slight complaint if we had to find one (which was hard) is that the room was quite dark - we were on level 1 in a ground floor room facing the forest, beautiful but hard to see. 100% recommend you choosing this hotel though, and be sure to try the restaurant food :)

Wow what a great place me and my friend stayed at in Ubud! The Villa was very new and clean! (Last year we had another villa with tons of ants in the bathroom and this one has NONE!) It s open to the nature but felt like a perfect clean and upscale space. The interior is very classy and nicely put together. I had a blast to relax in a wooden barrel with salt that was in our bathroom. The pool area is incredible and we loved absolute privacy. Service stuff was always helpful and contacting me with the smallest details about my orders, etc - This is the perfect way to make us want to come back. Also I have an exceptional pictures taken at the place. The food is extremely good and delivered straight to the room very fresh, beautifully put and very on time! I strongly recommend this place if you re looking for a special and luxury experience to treat yourself! We barely went out, it s was just too good to stay in the Villa

It s actually ok but not great, the staff are friendly but the room interior is not that good, also the hotel itself the way you get around is a bit confusing. We found that the bed in our room feels wet, It s a weird feeling but that what we felt, maybe because of humidity. We also tried the in room spa, it was also not very bad but again not outstanding. We also tried the restaurant copper for breakfast it was great and the service was amazing, but don t try to order in room dining as we did, we got our food very cold unfortunately.

Our stay at Bisma Eight was perfect. The hotel gave us an upgrade because it was our anniversary. Very sweet. Also the location of the hotel is perfect, it s located in a quiet alley but you re at the main road in less than 5 minutes. Breakfast at the hotel is very good and you have enough options to chose from. The suite was beautiful and overlooking nature is very calming. We will definitely come back.

I booked a villa for 7 nights , I cancelled my booking from the 2nd night. 1-The villa s interior is amazing , but the bugs downstairs are all over the place. I appreciate that bugs are part of Bali nature , but dozens of island hotels are managing the bugs issues , except for bisma eight. 2- the prices makes no sense comparing to the location of the hotel in Ubud, the location suggests lower prices. 3- the staff In the restaurant are friendly but not trained well at all , the kept smiling and flicking near each other , they don t take decisions in very simple situations. We had dinner & breakfast in embers , the waitress was lost & brough wrong dishes & said : we serve room service first , sorry! Twice ! Obviously she was not trained well & the task distribution is not helping the work flow. Although the food was good. 4- when I booked the villa , no one oriented us at all about the distribution of the hotel , the outdoor pool is in another branch of bisma eight hotel at the same street , the reception informed us after I complained. I think this hotel team need to focus on what they are doing , be serious & professional to make loyal customers base for their place. we got less prices for a ways better & professional service.

Amazing hotel, great food and service... treated us really well... very attentive. There's a spa called purta ubud 2 down the road which is amazing and a laundry nearby which is very reasonable... short walk to the town centre. Btw don't go to Liap Liap as it's a very poor restaurant....

I had a rare amazing beautiful experience here. I actually stumbled upon Bisma 8 when it first opened in 2015. The serene and zen room interior, mind-blowing food, infinity pool overlooking the forest, upmost excellent customer service left an impressionable mark on me. So much so I returned in 2018 to visit it. This time, I had the privilege to meet an owner of this place. He saw me sitting by myself relishing the place and came by to chat with me. Super amazing and friendly. I love the homely feel of Bisma 8. P.S: It s also next to a draconian looking hotel called Nick s Place. You can even walk around it for the thrills. I highly recommend Bisma 8 :)

Outsanding hotel and for a very good price compared to others in the area. Located just off of the main Street in Ubud, this is the place to stay. I'm writing this review as we are poolside on our last day and I'm sad to be leaving such a great hotel behind! We were greeted at the airport (having arranged a pick up) by a very friendly driver, who told us about Bali's culture and heritage. Check in was very simple and straightforward and the staff were genuinely lovely people, who spoke with such warmth. They were always happy to arrange taxis, tours and anything else that we needed, often at short notice! They were very accommodating, especially as we were often indecisive (sorry!) We had a pavilion suite which had a nice living area. The bed was big and comfortable and the waterfall shower was amazing! It's a shame we didn't get to use the soaking tub as we were often out and about but it was a beautiful addition. They have a lovely infinity pool looking out into the surrounding area, which is stunning. There aren't many sunbeds owing to space so if it's sunny, I'd say get there early! The service was simply put, outstanding. Every single member of staff, from the front desk, to bar staff, to kitchen staff and housekeeping went over and above at every opportunity and that's what makes Bisma so great, the staff and the service. Breakfast was a-la-carte and lovely and fresh and slightly in the lighter side, which was great as there is less wastage. We also ate at Copper Bar and Kitchen twice and the food and service were excellent. Service in particular from the staff was outstanding. Credit to the team. This is easily the best 5 star service we have experienced on our travels in South East Asia. If we are lucky enough to travel to Bali again I would not hesitate to book a room here again. Thank you to everyone at Bisma Eight, this is a beautiful hotel, with outstanding staff to match. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

The staff was friendly and the accommodation was clean. (We arranged the room more than twice a day.) We arrived at dawn on a night flight, but we prepared our welcome food so we could eat well. However, the hinoki bath in the room that I stayed in was a little dirty because the water did not fall out well. Jungle View The view of the Infinite Pool is beautiful. Because there are not many rooms, it was good that we were able to use space like sunbeds at leisure.

As soon as you walk into Bisma Eight, you feel a sense of calm, all contributed to by the design, lighting and music of the hotel. The welcome and check in wasn't very smooth, and there were quite a few miscommunications from the woman that checked me in throughout my stay. Otherwise, all other staff members were super friendly and genuinely helpful, the most authentic I ve had in Bali so far. I walked into my Canopy Suite and I could hear meditation-like music from outside playing. I asked the staff walking me through the room about it, and if it would be playing all day/night. She said it wasnt very loud and that it shouldn t be an issue. I tried to take a nap but could not block the music out. I called the front desk and asked if there were any other rooms available. She said there was only one room left but it was being used for a project. Otherwise I would have to pay for a Forest Suite upgrade. I declined and tried to go back to sleep. I couldn t fall asleep so I went to find the source of the music. It was coming from the restaurant right above me. I called back to see if/when the other Canopy Suite would be available. A manager checked on the status, came to me in person to apologize and said I would be able to move in within the hour. He personally helped me move to the second room which was further away and thankfully super quiet, exactly what I needed. Thank you to the manager for being so accommodating! The use of different woods, textures and natural hues with colored accents made the room warm and welcoming. For me, most hotel room living rooms are for show and don t really serve a functional purpose. I lounged in mine at Bisma Eight for a few afternoons, reading and waiting for the rain to pass. The floor to ceiling windows overlook the canopy of the trees and I loved waking up to the feeling of being in the trees. The bed is settled in the center of the divided room. I absolutely loved the amount of natural light that flooded the entire space in the mornings and afternoons. The bathroom is spacious and has a huge Canadian cedar wood hot tub-like bathtub that is perfect for that Instagram shot ;). Although not completely my own personal design aesthetic, I loved the overall look and feel and felt right at home. Once I was settled in, I could finally take in the fullness of Bisma Eight. The grounds are beautiful, and they lead down to the infinity pool and bar overlooking the jungle. Upstairs is the Copper restaurant, bar and event space/yoga area. I enjoyed my morning yoga sessions, had my breakfasts at Copper and I loved hanging there in the early evenings to watch the sunset. The yoga mats do need a bit of a cleaning though. It's a good thing I brought my own. There was a photography exhibit titled Raw on the main floor. I walked through the exhibit and felt the impact of the subjects and their stories of loss. I looked up the photographer, Vanessa Van Houten, and her work and found that the exhibit opening happened just a week before. I was bummed to miss it, but thankful to have discovered her work through Bisma. The food from Copper was very good. Breakfasts were simple but flavorful and the ingredients were super fresh, and I was told that most of the produce came from the organic garden. I ordered in a few times and I was surprised at how fast the staff made and delivered the food. Bisma offers a car to go wherever you might need. I had to go into town a few times and normally I would have walked, but since I was recovering from a sprained ankle, having the car drop off and pick up was much needed. You definitely get the sense of holistic wellness that Bisma Eight is all about. Their mission stands true and was reflected in my experience. Though there was a bit of a transition in the beginning, all was smooth and I was very happy with my stay.

I was surprised by the small entrance, but when you enter the hotel, it is a large and spacious hotel with a structure that looks like it was carved out of a cliff. front The check-in image was very good because the staff and bellboys were very friendly and easy to understand for me who doesn't speak English well. After that, I was guided to the room and admired the whole building and the condition of the room and showed great care. The view from the second floor was very good and I was able to see the sunset of the jungle view I wanted to my heart's content. Other Infinity The location of the pool and the surrounding jungle views were so beautiful and the cocktails at the bar attached were very delicious! You should definitely try it, but there was a covered tent and a little noise to see if there was an extension work right next door. The last reason for subtracting one star is the restaurant there. Compared to the quality of the hotel I think, the menu of food is small and the staff Service consciousness is also low. Most of the seats are vacant, but they will guide you to the seats that are comfortable to serve. Most of the next guests also placed them in the front for easy serving. The table was close, so I was very concerned. Although I was the first guest, I did not even greet after arranging the bowls loudly. Even when I take an order, I move to another place before the talk is over, and I keep asking if I can remove the dishes.. The food was also less than expected, so if I visit this place again, the restaurant will not come. This is a hotel that has a lot more positive things than this. If you are looking for a jungle view, I recommend you to come.
