Hostile work environment, horrible work culture if your not in the right click. Management is horrible and treats salary employees better then the hourly employee. Front office has zero Hispanic employees.
Like the product, don't care for the customer service. Needed a simple order of two 5 gallon cleaners and wanted to charge me a $100 fee if I wanted to pick up same day. Not good to local small business. Forced me to take my business elsewhere for a company that will work with me and not against me.
Really messy yard. Good luck flipping a U-turn to back into a dock, do-able but be carful with the crates, Hazmat Corrosive UN2014 crates everywhere. One rude disrespectful forklift driver, the rest are okay. Don't try to blind side into a dock. It's not worth the risk.
Good shippers nice people get you loaded fast if you carry hazmats this is the location to get in & out no doubt...
I was highly interested in working for Birko because it is family-owned and woman-owned. The culture provides a supportive and flexible environment, while striving for continuous improvement. The Executive and Management teams are fully open to new ideas, and they provide the resources to thrive in your position. And the employees are unrivaled. The company is collaborative and agile. Birko listens to customers' pain points and develops comprehensive, tailored solutions to improve food safety without compromising cost savings.
Been in there several times. Dock area is cramped, especially if more than one or two trucks. Friendly folks in S & R.
