There are three main area in the Biodome - Tropical, the Ocean, and Antarctica. The entrance fee is ~$20 or less if you decide to visit 2+ associated venues (botanical garden and planetarium). Great place to visit on a rainy day. You won't spend an awful lot of time in there, but it's worth a visit to see the variety of animals. Also it's very comfortable to walk around.

Creatures from the Americas (North and South) from different ecosystems living under one roof. We pass through the rainforest, the climate weather, the polar area. Great place for animal lovers, locals and tourist. Usually takes between 1h30 to 2h30 if you take more of your time. Very popular for kids, so go in the weekdays if you want to take more your time. Also, in the basement there is some display of creatures and of taxidermied creatures that is worth the detour.

Sidenote: can combo this place with the planetarium and/or with the botanical garden. Great places to spend the day.

Such an underwhelming experience and an absolute waste of money - $21 for visitors outside Montreal is a lot. If not for the cute beaver or the macaws, I might have just walked out. The exhibits looks nothing but empty. Especially the sea exhibits. They could definitely do much better than this. Worst of all, there was no information near each exhibit in the venue. We later learned about the app we could download to learn about each species in the exhibit.

Wouldn t recommend this place!

I went there with my bf as a date. We both enjoyed it a lot but it's still a more family friendly place. I have to say nothing actually amazed me. But the whole design as five different biological environments is very cool. Beavers are really cute, and they provide visitors different angles to observe the animals. Worth going.

The place is beautiful, with a lot of nature and vegetation but I expected more, the biodome can be easily traveled in 1 hour calmly and without trouble. There comes a time when you cross a door and you realize that everything is over, and a strange sensation occurs because due to the size one would expect even more, but anyway it is a super nice experience if you are a fan of zoos.

This place is just awesome. My kids enjoyed the variety of animals here and the penguins are adorable though the arctic area may not be as big and also you can see the Olympic Stadium which you can view during the elevator ride.

From the outside it looks magnificent and the steep entrance fee adds to the high expectation but once inside I was disappointed due to the limited number of displays and things for kids and adults to do. It (Biodome) is basically a small zoo and a small aquarium combined inside a HUGE building.

We had a group ticket for all attractions (Botanical Garden, Biodome and Planetarium) The Planetarium was the biggest disappointment. Displays are worth about 20 minutes and the two shows were mediocre at best. The interesting thing was you can watch the show laying on a bean bag on the floor (kids and some parents in the group fell asleep during the show)

Saw the Botanical garden and Insectarium last (may be the expectation was low by then) but liked it.

The visit to the new biodome seemed shorter than before the renovations. In addition, it seems to have less cash than before and the mezzanines are not suitable for strollers. We did the tour in 30 minutes. Do it once, but not twice.

Simply put: in more than 20 years, the biodome has not changed for me. The experience of my childhood comes back to me every time I return and I look forward to sharing this experience with my children one day!
Each person I meet who is never going, I make it my mission to bring them. It is one of our most beautiful Quebec wonders that must be shared with family and friends!

Amazing place to experience the diversity of Canadian environments and wildlife.

This is a must see in Montreal and I strongly encourage it for families.

We saw the penguin show, which was entertaining and educational.

If you love nature this is a must see.

Easy access from the metro too.

This was the first time we had went to a place like the Biodome. The animals inside were fun to look at. I just wish the admission price was a bit cheaper. But I like to think that the admission cost helps care for all the animals and the building maintenance. The place is kept clean and the staff was nice. One thing they should have are hand sanitizer stations.

They took a 2+ ticket (it s more profitable, you can visit 2 places at a nice cost, there are 3+, but to be honest I don t remember what was there 3). Together with the Biodome we visited the Planetarium. You can get around the Biodome in an hour and a half, considering everything in detail. There are a variety of fauna from the tropics to the marine environment. Artificial natural environment is so realistic and maximally created that you cannot believe your eyes. The seagull may whistle above your head.

Very adorable as a place it's another world and now the location of the center allows us to access all the rooms we have each done twice because we wanted to miss nothing. A nice little trip to the city ideal for the current Covid weather ...

Very nice and warm inside. The only problem is that I think some animals are in agony to be there, like the Hyacinth macaw. He yelled a lot like he was in pain. The lontras as well appered to be really bothered by the visitors.

Inside, we were in another dimension because in the middle of Montreal we see pingoins in their own environment. This is one of many examples, a trip around the world without leaving the city.
