This is a nice little zoo and park if you happen to be in the area and are looking for something to do. It sits in a little valley, so on hot days it's actually quite cool walking around. Prices are very reasonable. Not a lot to see, but it was worth the stop with the kids.

The zoo its self is to small the animals are all cramped up in there cages. The riverbanks and garden in south Carolina is a lot bigger that's what I'm used to where it will take you all day to get through it, instead of less than 30 mins.

It was very small with not a lot of animals last I went. I really wanted to enjoy it but it was pretty empty, and you could complete the entire zoo in less than an hour. It is great for kids and families, but if you are looking for something to keep busy for 2 hours this will probably not be the spot.

The goats are super cute though.

Our zoo is a wonderful resource. It has many educational opportunities and has education on conservation. It is in a beautiful wooded glen. The exhibits feature many endangered species. There are red pandas, snow leopards, snow owls, eagles, and so much more. The new director is focusing on accessibility. They plan to run a vehicle to help folks get to the top area that gas south American porcupines, a sloth, penguins and otters! Truly a hidden treasure.

A small, quiet zoo in a park setting. The zoo is situated on a rather large incline, so the walk from front to back may be a challenge for some. There is not a particularly large number of animals, but you will find a farm-like children's zoo with goats, sheep, and the like up front and enclosures with exotic animals throughout the park. Highlights included the red pandas, leopards (most unfortunately the old amur leopard died earlier this year, though the zoo is attempting to acquire another), red wolves, Magnus the coyote, penguins, otters, a variety of owls, tortoise racing, and a small South American rain forest exhibit. Parking was plentiful even on a weekend, and the $8 adult admission ($7 for college students, seniors, and military, and $6 for children) is more than fair.

We participated in the African Penguin experience and it was wonderful! We learned about the penguins, one of the penguins allowed us to pet him, we got pictured of us with the penguin and a penguin foot painting! The zoo was beautiful and all animals looked happy and healthy!

It is a nice little zoo just over a mile walk to go through the whole place with all the animals right along the path. Parking can be a issue if the place is busy but other then that a nice place to go and spend a couple hours.

Nice small zoo, good for kids. The wolves and otters were our favorites, but there's a surprising number of animals, all apparently well kept, healthy and appropriately housed, in the pleasant woodsy setting.

The Binghamton Zoo has really upped it's game in recent years. They have tons of animal exhibits nowadays. Not to mention educational information on each animal at every exhibit. They also have a petting zoo for the kids and a carousel that runs daily while the zoo is open.

Small park but nice and shady. Not a lot of animals, we saw everything in about 2 or 2 1/2 hours with a 3 year old along. The carousel was shut down for repairs. There is a very small train ride for $3 a person. Most of the zoo is uphill but they will take you on the tram at no charge if you request it. Food prices were not bad for this type of venue and gift shop was not really high priced as far as gift shops go either.

We're animal lovers to begin with, and try to go to the zoo when we get the chance. Our last visit was to bring our niece and nephew, and they were enraptured with everything they saw. We walked the whole trail before stopping at the gift shop, and then two rides on the carousel. The kids were thrilled, and have already started talking about going again.

We loved this zoo, we travel to zoos all over, and this was our 16th this year. It's not you major city, mega zoo. But it is a great local community zoo worth visiting. The entrance fee is well priced, the exhibits were well maintained,(The cleanest glass, and restrooms I have ever seen at a zoo. :) ) all the animals looked super healthy, and happy. Every employee, from the ticket booth, Gift shop, and Keeps were all very nice, social, and helpful. The price and size of the zoo is absolutely perfect for families.
My only disappointment was, the gift shop didn't offer Zoo Collectors Pins that's something offered by just about every zoo in America, but they did have zoo patches, and the Web page could use a little work.
Thanks for a wonderful visit. And if you ever get pins, please contact me. :)

A great little zoo that can be experienced without quickly without being overwhelming. Yet they have some very nice exhibits you might not always see in a typical zoo. My family and I have enjoyed visiting many times over the years.

It's a small community zoo. Some of the animals looked a little sad but there is only so much space and funding. The staff were all very friendly. In all a pretty good place to visit for a quick family outing

Great little zoo, "the 5th oldest zoo in America". The people are friendly and very knowledgeable and the animals seem to be well cared for.
They have several special events throughout the year, ice cream safari, feast with the beasts, boo at the zoo, etc. And the run Zoo Mobiles with smaller animals to other public or private events.

It's a tiny zoo, but not crowded and perfect for smaller kids. The zoo is well kept and the animals seem to enjoy it there. If you are expecting a large zoo with all exotic animald, this is not the zoo for you. If you want a smaller, quieter and cozier experience to bond with family, you'll enjoy it!

It was awesome to see all the different animals but we wished there were more big cats. My son was really hoping to see a tiger and all they had was a snow leopard and a cougar because their Amur Leopard passed away. Also, we were also hoping to see a fainting goat. Other than that, the price was good and my son really loved feeding the goats.

Extremely clean and well kept. The animals seemed relaxed and happy, and the staff was friendly and smart.
The snack stand was also very clean and reasonably priced, not what I'd expect from a zoo at all.
Well done to everyone there.

Also, it may go without saying, but the animals are amazing to witness. Highly recommend.

Nice enough for a local zoo. Some of the larger cats were in cages that seemed too small and paced the entire time. We went with a 1 year old and 4 year old. Both were able to walk majority of the time and we didn't have to worry about bringing a stroller. The wolf area was the most expansive and our favorite! Prices are reasonable, especially if you do the package with the Discovery Center!

They have great workers. I recently just came here for my child s school field trip & the poor animals didn t have the proper materials or environment that they needed. They had Penguins In the burning sun. Poor cheetah pacing in circles freaking out. It s one thing to have a zoo to help hurt animals to get better but to keep them there forever, or to take them out of there own hole to put them in the zoo is wrong. So many sad animals with not enough proper supplies. None of them had what they needed to survive. It was horrible. The inside was amazing though. The price for the field trip wasn t bad but they made us pay twice for the inside and outside which I don t think is fair. But I guess it s life.

Love the quiet calm of this small zoo. I enjoyed the petting area where we could feed the sheep and goats. Also the leapods! I so love the gnome garden! And the penguins. Suggestion there should be a recording to guide visitors in the tropical house if they have no one. It is intimadating to go in and continue because of the smell, heat and the feeling of isolation so visitors need to feel safe while we learn, a bit of discomfort with heat and smell is fine but not if we do not feel safe and no guidance as to what to look for

Very clean zoo. Friendly staff. Great walk in the woods. Wonderful place to bring family. Cute souvenir shop inside. Prices are reasonable. Loved the carousel. Children are encouraged to find litter (trash) on the ground, in turn for a free ride on carousel. Great way to teach children to appreciate the earth and be rewarded with 7 minutes of fun.
