The atmosphere is amazing, the server is great and food is even better, would go every week if I could, love the view of the Hudson.

I"d give it a higher score, but the best part of the restaurant is the view which they don't own per se. The BBQ food is adequate but there are far better and more authentic BBQ places around the valley. The place can get loud and rowdy. It'd be nice if it wasn't necessary for them to have Bouncers even during the week, but the necessity is indicative of the problem.

Delicious food. The tables are spread out, so no worries w/social distancing. Oh, & the view of the Hudson River...amazing!

Legendary BBQ in Newburgh. The Carolina pulled pork sandwich is awesome. The outdoor bar is a few feet away from the Hudson with spectacular views.

Love this place, they have different themed nights. Country line dancing on Tuesday nights. Salsa Wednesday nights, and a dj, On other nights. It sits right on the Hudson, so it's a great view. Plenty of seating in the summer. Service is wonderful. You can bring families there, or just hang out with your friends. Very versatile place for fun. It's something for everyone. The reason it's not a complete 5 star review is because, the BBQ is average. It's not bad, but it's not the best. You'll be satisfied. Billy Joe's is definitely worth your time.

Great ambiance on the river front and awesome pulled pork and mac and cheese!

The Ribs are good! Only annoyance would be the menu. It says steak and Ribs. the steak stated in the menu is a skirt steak, So that's what myself and Three other people at my table order. Only to be served a thin salty ribeye. For $30 each plate I feel a bit cheated.

We had a great time. The mangersJoe and Brian were very effective and went around the restaurant giving there attention to the customers and cleaning and making sure all the people were distancing and comfortable. We had a wonderful time for my friends birthday. We would like to think Joe for the wonderful service we will definitely come again.

Omg a beautiful place to have dinner with your significant other me and my wife really enjoyed our selfs that was our first visit. I am from Memphis Tn so i know my Bbq and especially ribs so Billy Joe take this as a good compliment your ribs was great i will be back thanks for your service to serving good food!!!!!!

If you are in the law enforcement business do not bother going here. They do not like your type in their establishment.

I give it 5 stars, but staff is short for the demand. Food was great, our waitress was overwhelmed but I would recommend coming here on off rush hour tomes,,, besides that no other complaints, I would recommend it to my friends.

Those ribs are so yummy! And so much more to choose from too.

Great place for waterside drinking, but the food is just okay.

I went to Billy Joe's with my family (total party size of 6). We each ordered something different from the menu so we could share and try everything. All the food was delicious, but the stand-outs were the baby back ribs and the pulled pork (the brisket was only slightly under-whelming). The service at this location was incredible, though. We had an incredibly attentive waitress who did an excellent job. The restaurant also has a really nice view of the river out the back and the atmosphere is comfortable. The only gripe is that at a certain time, they had a live band playing at the same time as having other music playing over their speakers and different sports games on the TVs by the bar. We were sitting in a spot where we actually heard all 3 sources of sound and it was a little unpleasant. I would recommend at least keeping the sounds to the games and 1 other source of music (either the live band or pre-recorded tracks). This complaint isn't really enough to take off a full star, but there's no way to remove half a star here and I do think this keeps it from being 5-star worthy.

Delicious wings and a good burger with a great view.

Very clean and welcoming place. They offer big portions and for fair rates. We loved the menu a lot and the staff members were very attentive and informative. Recommended.

I love coming here on Tuesdays for line dance. Unfortunately, weekend events charge a cover (as high as $10!!!) for entry. I had to drop a star for this, because the drink prices stayed the same.

I am a vegetarian and was able to smile you guys had something for me as well

We recently visited Billy Joe's on Labor Day. Although they were very busy, they got us in under the promise time. We sat at our table, and after a few minutes a waitress approached us and apologized for the wait. She took our drink order and within a few minutes we had our drinks and a complimentary order of nachos for having to wait! This was an unexpected surprise. Shortly after that the wind picked up an umbrella from a nearby table and it broke a light near us, sending glass on the table. Nobody was hurt and it was really just an act of mother nature, but the staff rushed over to make sure everybody was ok, and apologized. The manager then came to the table and informed us that they would be picking up the bill for the inconvenience! This was totally not necessary, but was greatly appreciated!!! I would highly recommend Billy Joe's as their customer service is second to none, the atmosphere is great, and the food is amazing!!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Brisket sandwich had no taste. Huge beer selection but no list and watered staff had a hard time remembering past but miles coor.

Ok bar food, ribs are extremely over rated. Drinks are overpriced and don't even think of getting a buy back.

Well today, we were approached by 4 people to make sure we were waited on / check on us and got complimentary beer by mgr. Can be pricy. Good view of Hudson River. NY

It's good. A little more expensive, but the atmosphere and the food are great.

They need to play better music. Margaritas are way to sweet and overly expensive for a sugar drink.

I had the pulled pork in the mac & cheese, it was very good. It was alot of food also. I tried the sliders and enjoyed them

We had a great experience at Billy Joe's. Our service was excellent. The owner came around and welcomed us. The atmosphere was awesome. A great set up. Food and drinks were top notch! Can't beat the view of the Hudson River!

I got the salad ... it was a large salad...ingredients were fresh and meat was tasty...only negative---the salad wasn't mixed and dressing was in the middle and bottom of bowl...otherwise good experience... I would go again

I travel to a lot of places to find good restaurants that serve rib I have only herd good things about billy joes ribs I have to say I was disappointed not only my food was cold my ribs were tough not much flavor just not what I expected for a restaurant that the main theme is ribs i was with five other people and there food was cold also don't know if I will ever go back

You can t beat fast service, great food and awesome prices. During the warmer months they offer live entertainment. This is not a first date type of place as it s often packed and very loud. I have never had a bad meal here.

Okay "Q" with lots of people waiting for the privilege to eat. Self parking difficult but complimentary valet parking is available.

Views of the Hudson River are the best feature of this local BBQ restaurant. I guess it could be said that it is unfair for me to rate this place as I'm a vegetarian so let that be known. I will say the service is adequate and I do know many people that are happy to dine here. The place is packed during the summer. Great views of the river and that is always a major plus.

The place was outrageously expensive, and the food was mediocre at best. My husband's brisket sandwich was practically inedible. It was a huge disappointment.

This place is amazing! We had an awesome waiter who was attentive and the food was splendid! A guy who i assume is the manager was on the floor chatting with patrons and he was super friendly. I was visiting from South Carolina, but if I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely partake. The view of the Hudson was ruined by the rain and fog, but I still enjoyed it. Please order the ribs and collard greens. They are MAGNIFICENT!

Nice atmosphere and view but the food was just ok. We all felt bad after we left. I wouldn't recommend it.

The wait staff is always prompt and courteous.. Line dancing on Tuesday nights usually draws a crowd.

I LOVE this place!!! My favorite since I moved from the city to the town of Newburgh. I bring all my visitors here and they all live it as well!!! Food is the best and the ambiance with the music and views, you just can not have a bad moment here. LOVE IT!!!

Dear Billy Joe's, as a local and a true lover of the Newburgh waterfront I am sincerely begging you to please get someone better in your kitchen. The food has made me (close friends and family of mine) sick on multiple occasions and is simply not made well. You're menu is awesome but what's served does not match up. The food is definitely not up to par for such an awesome space. Not only that, but I don't think you have more than two bartenders employed that can actually make a decent drink. I don't mind spending 10-15 on a drink as long as it's made correctly. I love coming there to dance my ass off and enjoy the scenery but would genuinely appreciate an improvement with food and drinks!!!! Please and thank you!

Best wings in the Hudson Valley. Met Joe the manager who was very kind and told us about upcoming events. But our server Kyle was phenomenal. He recommended the Asian smoked wings that were so good we got two to go. He also put me on to the mojitos...making a different one each time....they were all delicious. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to relax and have delicious food and drinks with friends!

Went in middle of winter during a week day. Place was empty. Food has potential to be fabulous. My ribs were a little dry. Two of us ate a rib plate that they only wanted to serve to one. May have detected attitude.
