Would not recommend BikeRite as there are better places in and around glasgow.

Had a lesson with BikeRite a couple of weeks ago. It's was my first lesson on the larger bikes for a number of weeks so had some trouble getting comfortable.

I found the instructor abrasive, aggressive, very arrogant and impatient. I think he forgot that his job was supposed to be to teach hence why I was there for a lesson.

During our first road side stop we very quickly got into a argument due to the instructors approach. He had yet to explain how to correct my corner cutting but instead decided to attack me and my current level of riding...great teacher. The instructor then felt it appropriate to ask me if I had ever seen anyone have there head knocked off by a wing mirror...a very common sight according to him. He then proceeded to tell me that I was a statistic waiting to happen which helped greatly with confidence and mindset.

The instructor then went on a rant about how I should not have been allowed to go straight out on the larger bikes. He proceeded to explain that company policy is for all new students to be assessed on a 125cc CBT bike he might want to raise this with the receptionist as she took my booking after having a full breakdown of my current experience.

Have since had a 4 hr lesson at another school and they are miles apart and have instructors who are patient, polite and approachable. Taking the time required to iron out any creases in your riding without causing confrontation.

Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!!!

Very disappointed!

Edit: I think the use of other customers to personally attack another customer who did not enjoy their experience says it all about Bike Rite. Further to Vinnie G's claim that I thought I was an "Experienced Biker who knew it all" contradicts the fact that I was attending a lesson to improve my riding and prepare for my Mod1 and Mod 2.

If you look at the dates between the reviews from myself and Vinnie G its pretty clear to see who prompted the review. Again this says it all about Bike Rite I stand by their being better schools and facilities in and around Glasgow to carry out your training.

Finally I think if you look at the comments left from the owner on every review which is negative then it becomes clear what kind of company this is. Maybe should change their name to "Always Rite".

I passed my CBT with bikerite a few years ago and ...

I passed my CBT with bikerite a few years ago and after a short time riding a 125 I decided it was time to go for the full test. Bikerite offered me the best deal going after being in touch with a few different training centres. This combined with my positive experience during my CBT, persuaded me to book up lessons and the tests with bikerite.

The whole team were very pleasant and also I was allowed to pay and book lessons around what suited me, thanks to Anne who couldn't have been more helpful.

For lessons I had Fraser who was knowledgeable, patient and also friendly which helped settle nerves. The bikes we used were Kawasaki er 6n, at first I was a title intimidated by the size but the bikes were great to ride! Stable, comfortable and every bike I rode was in good condition.

I passed my mod 1 first time after some confidence boosting lessons in the morning before the test, I was allowed to practice the maneuvers I was least confident on over and over again.

As soon as this was passed I was advised to go for my mod 2 as most of the previous lessons were on the road. I booked it for the following week and I was taken out by Stevie for another warm up/lesson before my test and given some useful tips for passing. Passed first time and not only was I delighted with that but after driving a 125 for a bit on the road, I feel way more confident in my ability to ride safely and for my enjoyment.

All round great experience and I passed from CBT to full test in 3 weeks, I would highly recommend bikerite. Good value, friendly instruction, quality bikes and a wealth of knowledge for riding gained. Thanks guys.

Rude people. Very intimidating approach. I agree with the previous post. After finding such a good deal on the internet i thought it was a good buy. this was not to be the case as the extra costs of bike hire and insurance added to the discounted price. Then after 2hrs into the training i was disheartened and my confidence was shattered after being informed i was not good enough to pass that day, after i thought i was doing everything right and adapted fairly quickly to riding it. To be honest I believe they try to make money out of people by coming back and paying more money to hire the bike. The instructor was rude and unprofessional throughout and constantly swearing. He took a large amount of time going through basics such as helmets and the bike mechanics then try and say I took too long to learn therefore didn't have enough time to go out on the road. When really he was drawing out the time, talking, and going for lunch after I had went for mine. At the end of the day I finished early, which was no surprise. The instructors then informed me i had suddenly got much better and would just need to do the two hours of road experience to pass the CBT, by coming back another day, and paying more. I would really advise people to find better instructors.

I must say i enjoyed my time with Bikerite and found the instructors to be very good. However, i would have to agree with the previous reviews in that the CBT seemed to be a money making scheme. I also was told that i was not ready to More

Absolutely amazing. Went from my CBT to my full A license first try thanks to the amazing tutoring from the staff at BikeRite back in July.
I would highly recommend them, you get far more hours of training that you pay for, you get to experience all types of riding on the roads in and around lanarkshire and renfrewshire, hundreds of miles of experience on the bike that you'll be doing you test on and they're all around just great people.
You'd be silly to go to anywhere else.

Anne runs a great team at bike rite, very friendly, patient and welcoming you'll get plenty of banter and encouragement from the whole family. Each instructor has their own style but most importantly they all really know their stuff. I was already riding a motorcycle in the states but had to redo my test here, I learnt more in 4 days at bike rite than my previous 5 years. Those 2018 SV650 bikes are really really good bikes too, they were half the reason I chose this course, they're light, responsive, powerful and handle great, I'd own in a heartbeat.

Did my CBT and DAS training with Bikerite. Instructors were excellent and I've now passed Mod 1 and 2 first time and now out enjoying my bike. Training was tough and very safety focussed, however instructors were relaxed and easy to talk to. Throughly recommend.

Did my CBT with Bike Rite and let me tell you, it's not an easy ride. However, that's not a bad thing. The instructors here love riding, and they want you to pass, but they're not afraid to tell you that you need more practice. Ultimately, they value safety, and I can tell you after being out on my own bike and doing about 30 miles today after passing this morning, not only am I safe but I'm confident in my skills. When I go to do my big bike tests no doubt about the fact that I'll be going back to Bike Rite.

Bike Rite Rutherglen really are fantastic. Know their stuff inside out and excellent instructors. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to learn. Prices are also very competitive versus other schools.
I see a review from Fraser McIntosh below, giving 1 star. Wish I could reply directly, but don't seem to have that option.
I was out on a lesson at the same time as this guy and he is a complete idiot. Don't listen to a word he says. He was argumentative with the instructor and didn't take on feedback or suggestions. He had been riding a 125cc for nearly 2 years and was absolutely dreadful. Thought he was an experienced biker who knew it all and didn't like being told otherwise. Then decided to write a poor review on the company trying to help him. Petulant childish behaviour. Man up!
