Wow!.. that sums this camp up. I stopped in during my PCT thru hike. The camp was empty and only 1 person was working there, some tall guy (I forget his name). He went above the call of duty to track down my package that arrived that day. This camp provided hikers with tray of food and cabin to hang out in while we shower and charge our electronics. The generosity provided to us hikers was extremely nice, thank you!

I walked around the camp and was overly impressed at how well the place was maintained. Lots of fun activities and toys for the campers. I wish I would have been lucky enough to be sent here as a kid.

As PCT hikers we were warmly welcomed by them, the have built a hiker hut with kitchen, laundry, bathroom/showers, WiFi, and a lounge area, as well as being allowed to eat meals in the dining room! Super welcoming and friendly place.

I'm not sure who will know this but I needed to share. My Grandparents were Carlye and Judy Mason, they ran the camp, and my grandmother Judy was a cook. This would have been when I was younger in the 80s so I'm not sure if anyone would even have heard of them. My grandpa, Carlye passes away memorial weekend. My grandmother Judy is still alive and living with her daughter Robbi and husband Bill. My grandpa did so much here and I have fund memories of the lake. He had an outstanding life filled with accomplishments and a huge heart. Folks bring your kids here, the memories will last a lifetime

Always enjoy time spent at Big Lake! Whether it is summer camp or snow camp or something in between , this place can't be beat! The scenery is beautiful, the facilities are great, and the staff is awesome.

I've been a 7 year camper (going on 8th) and BigLake has never disappointed me... the staff is AMAZING and they have a bunch of different activities to do while you are there. If you are considering BigLake as a camp option for your child, I 1000000% recommend it!

Horrible! Apparently 8-12 year olds are old enough to vote on not doing things their parents paid for. And they're apparently old enough to vote to not go to church/sabbath event while attending this private church camp.

The management onsite is incompetent (and very young)
I had several complaints, so I tried to file a single complaint (about not receiving the mail service I paid for) and this 18yo lady just says "sorry" with short retort and tried to walk away after, had to stop her and she reluctantly have a refund. I called the head of the camp as well as emailed so my concerns, but got no response.

They also stole $20 from me via their online "mail a camper" system and the "refund" was a credit to their website store which you can't redeem (tried, but knfbreader redeem on anything). We will not be paying to go again. And I strongly advise other parents to not waste your money.

This is just part of my complaints, it was a horrible experience and my daughter didn't have much fun either because he cabin voted to not go do certain things.

We've gone here for church retreats, family camp and for the first time our kids attended snow school. They loved it! Arthur, the teacher for snow school, knows his stuff! I would not hesitate to recommend Big Lake to everyone I know! They don't disappoint!

I have been trying to get a hold of someone for almost three weeks. I have reached out by email multiple times from my personal email, I have reached out by contacting them through their website and I have called but received a VM every time. This is my first time looking into something like this so I have a few questions. - I was told to check this place out by a Doug McGinnis who is an Uber driver but Big Lakes Development Director.

I was really looking forward to hearing some great things and I thought I was going to be provided with Great customer service being that we are paying and trusting these people with our kids.

Just got back from Snow School at Big Lake Youth Camp with my kid s class - what an amazing experience! Arthur made sure that the kids had fun the entire time (starting with the 3-mile inner tube ride to camp!) and that they learned how to enjoy being in the wilderness safely with just the right mix of class time and outdoor experiences.

Cool
