The sales girl was very nice, really good on the phone. I will go back because I love the things they have in there store. Pretty awesome stuff. The sales girl went out of her way, to see if they had what I needed badly. And they did, no one carried a shoe boil boot. Go in have a look, you will be happy you went in.

We've come here for the last few years and have always enjoyed ourselves. Today was no exception. However, there were a couple hiccups. The ticket line....unacceptable. We were in line with 2 parties in front of us for approximately 20 minutes. 20 minutes for 2 people to buy tickets! Thats ridiculous. The lines have several posters outlining ticket options that spell out exactly how many tickets for each activity. People that approach the counter that are clueless or are having difficulty deciding what package to buy should kindly be asked to step aside and get back in line when they are ready. 10 mins per person is unacceptable. The 2nd and biggest let down was that there is a sign posted right as you enter titled Pony Ride Rules. A big green poster. Says right on the poster 5 tickets. 5 tickets. Cool. We account for the pony ride as we get in line to buy our tickets. We bought 2 books which we calculated out would be perfect for all that we wanted to do. We go to ride the ponies and low and behold the sign there says 7 tickets. Unfortunately for my two daughters this was the last thing that we did before leaving so we only had 5 tickets left each because that's what the sign said out front. I mentioned to the girl working it about the 5 ticket sign out front and she couldn't have cared less. No apology or let me check it out....nothing. Not even an attempt to notify someone to change it so this doesn't happen again. Very disappointing. We felt the least she could have done was take our 5 tickets and let my girls ride and then check into it. They should have honored it and should still make it right. It was their mistake.

I will no longer shop at Big Horse Feed in Temecula! I was in the feed yard a couple of weeks ago, getting hay when I observed the owner, Rose Corona, sitting back there on her behind, ordering her guys around. Not only was she barking orders, she was belittling them in the worst way. She would ask, "why are you doing that?" "What are you hungover?" I was in disbelief. I have been in the yard many times and these guys work their tails off. It is a difficult job and to have an employer treating you like a piece of dirt is just unacceptable no matter what the case is. Since then, I have spoken with a couple of people within the industry and someone down at Inland Vet Supply, regarding Ms Corona. Did not hear anything positive. Apparently she runs that place like a prison camp. The pay is absolutely horrible and the employees are treated poorly. The turnover is incredibly high. One person lableled Ms. Corona as a real "Nut Job." She rarely treats anyone with kindness and is constantly distributing critical and threatening memos to everyone. Doesn't she realize that a high turnover means that employees are not happy? Unhappy employees mean less productivity. Duh! A no brainer! It is a known fact that if you treat your employees with respect and reward them, you will have a low turnover and more productivity. You would think a light bulb would go off or something. Sure maybe there are some employees that may need to be moved on out because they are just bad for business but what about the many that are good? I have met quite a few that are great including my delivery people. There is no way I will sit back and watch my hard earned money go to someone who treats people with such disrespect. These people are your employees not your dogs. Maybe you treat your dogs better? Get your head out of your tail Ms. Corona and do what is right! Maybe some leadership training would benefit you!

I wonder if I am the only one wondering which disgruntled employee "A. Bautista" is. What a shame that someone that could not remain employed at Big Horse has to sit on a computer and disparage this landmark store and this great family. Perhaps they could not get a job elsewhere, so this makes them feel better about themselves? I did work for Big Horse and the pay was industry standard. Ms Corona was a fantastic boss - and yes, you were expected to show up to work to actually do the job you were hired to do. How refreshing to work for a family and company that values a work ethic instead of continuing the momentum of mediocrity that our society has now. Perhaps A. Bautista did some sitting on his/her behind which resulted in them being replaced by someone who valued having a job. BTW - I love how Bautista gleaned all of this rhetoric in the 3 minutes it took them to pick up their feed - wow! Did you catch that on your phone? Geez. Remember that time that certain members of congress screamed that members of the public had hurled insults at them during the health care debate - but when $10,000.00 was offered for recorded proof of that there were crickets chirping? But I digress.... The turnover is not high because of working conditions - it is most often due to kids leaving to go to school. I applaud the Corona family for all that they do for the youth - if you have teenage kids - you know how hard it is for them to get jobs while they are in high school and an employer that worked around their schedules ... something we took for granted back in the day. To be given a job and a chance to learn how to REALLY work .. not just show up and think that they are entitled to $ because they are "there". Oh yes - A. Bautista - that wasn't Ms Corona writing all those "memo's" that was me :) you know - the ones that gave policy and procedure so that everyone was held to the same standard? But perhaps you feel victimized by having someone expect something from you. I loved working at Big Horse - We had customers from all over Riverside and San Diego Counties. The Corn Maze is phenomenal. Can't find a unique gift? Go to Big HOrse - if you can't find it there - it's not to be found. Heck - we used to shop at Big Horse when we lived in San Diego before we moved to the IE. It is truly a destination. Take a step back in time and remember the America that once was - God, Country and oh yes, a family and staff that believes in an honest day's work. And yes Bautista - I had the cojones to use my real name ....

Best feed lot around. CJ is amazing, a wealth of knowledge and so friendly and helpful. She makes my husband and I feel like friends as much as customers when we drop in. Our go to feed lot with the go to lady!

There were as many attractions or jump houses as most temporary pumpkin "patches" that pop up everywhere, but it was unique and in a very wide open space. The corn maze was awesome and the activities like mining for gems, the bumper balls, and the corn cannons set BHF&F apart from the other pumpkin spots. The beer and wine garden with the BBQ food is probably the best "attraction" . My only suggestion, from similar farm or ranch pumpkin patches that I've attended with corn mazes, is a scarecrow or ghoul competition prior to the making of the maze and then placing them throughout the maze with a little laminated placard stating who made it. It's an inexpensive way to keep the trek entertaining, as well as being another element to draw people into the maze to look around.

If you or your relatives have health issues or conditions that put you at risk for COVID this is not the store for you. I have shopped here for 20 years and I am done. I am sure my patronage won't be missed, so I feel compelled to share that I was in the store this afternoon and despite clear sineage, none of the employees nor customers wore masks or practiced distancing. As someone with risk factors I must choose to buy feed elsewhere and if you have health risks, I encourage you to do the same. Best wishes to Big Horse and their staff.

Sorry to say that inflation has hit this place in a big way. $5 parking, no big deal. But, to take 3 kids on the slide in middle of the grounds would have cost an entire $15 ticket book and then half of another one. Basically, $21 to do the one slide. Then we would have needed to buy more ticket books to do anything else. Sorry Big Horse, it looks like you now have Big Prices.

I thought I walked into heaven. So many pretty things (woman's clothing and accessories). Beautiful saddles and tack. Footwear. I can't wait to get back there.
And think I only stopped for chicken feed.

Great store with eclectic merchandise. Horse related merchandise, dishes, clothing and dog and cat food. I go regularly for the Canidae dog and cat food, but have bought riding pants and boots for my daughter and go to the Corn maze each October.

This is one of the least professional "feed" stores I've been to. If you ask any questions they ALWAYS respond in an annoyed manner. I've been never been in when someone has been eager and wiling to help. It makes me wonder what their management is like. They never have our tax form on file and then try to argue that we have never filled it out. Last time, I asked my husband to take a picture of it so we could stop filling it out. I'm giving them two stars for their bermuda quality. It is generally decent. You just have to go through the gum smacking cashier to get level up to the feed yard!

This is for the pumpkin patch/harvest festival . We came while it was raining and expected it to be wet and muddy. That wasn t a problem. We figured we would beat the crowds. The kids wore rain boots and we were prepared. The problem was that Big Horse wasn t prepared. Half of the bouncers didn t work in the rain, along with the big wheel race and a few other rides / games, yet they were still charging full price for each activity. Activities were manned by teenagers who were hiding from the rain and mud under awnings while taking customers money to send our children up puddles, unsafe equipment. The one exception was the zip line bounce house staff- they were working hard to keep the activity as safe and dry as possible (which is expected if Big Horse is going to stay open and take money for the activities).

Examples of the prices, which would be seriously questionable even without the awful service and unmaintained activity areas, are:
- $10 each for a 2-second zipline which is just a bounce house dual slide with 2 bucket seats attached on either side of the center staircase, held to the earth with only corner stakes. Yes, $10 for a 2-second swing.
-$5-$7 per kid for each of the 4 jump houses that give the customer a 1-minute experience which is being generous on my part. Older kids went thru the jumpers in under a minute. It took longer to take their shoes off than the time they spent.
$10 EACH for a go in ye old corn maze. Yes, children too. Families can be prepared to spend $100 CONSERVATIVELY between the maze and the ridiculous prices they are charging for the activities. If you re fancy enough to buy your pumpkins here, plan on $125-$150 all told for a family of 6, and a 1-2 hour experience not including food or beverages. If you re planning to eat here, each plate is $10 on average drinks not included.
All told, we were disappointed and won t be back. We love supporting local businesses and participating in family friendly activities in our community but these guys obviously care more about their seasonal profits at the community s expense. We will take our large family elsewhere this season, where the value of a hard earned buck isn t flippantly taken for granted by the business.

Corn maze is cool and pumpkins are good if u buy them early. Everything thing else is lame and the people selling the tickets are awful! They don't even know what they are selling..
That being said...if u just want to do the corn maze then that is worth it.

I was a devoted customer who spent a lot of money at this place, but I will never set foot in there again! Without going into a long dissertation, let me just say that the manger there Deborah, is rude, has no customer service skills at all!! and uses here little bit of authority to be more like a power trip bully than a customer advocate! Its a shame, but they lost two good customers today because my family member who has spent a generous amount of money there as well will not becoming back! We have tractor supply, valley vet and online so the community doesn't really need Big Horse and their poor customer service! Shame they don't care about good customers!
