BIG G Supermarkets Review

Used to go here as a kid. There hasn't been much of an update in years

My visit to Big G's is always Top Line their workers employees they're always going out of their way to tell me thank you and how you doing and ask me do I need help finding anything Big G has the best employees of any store I've ever seen in my life some of the checkout ladies are having a bad day once in awhile Andrew short with me but never rude or mean everyone is entitled to have a bad day once in awhile I would like to rather shop at Big G's everyone is familiar to me and you make me feel comfortable in the store and even sometimes in the parking lot pushing carts Chauvin treat Bee Gees 1 through 10 1 being the best 10 being worst I would have to wait BG's in a high 9 or 10 thank you big. Gs and their employees!!!!!!!!!!

Great deals...saves me money. Meat and produce is great too.

Prices are a little inflated even though it's a monopoly essentially. Can find cheaper elsewhere if you can overlook the convince

This was the closest grocery store to where we stayed in Amana. It is a small grocery store, but the store had almost everything we needed. They have some vegetarian/vegan friendly items, too, which is nice.

Great selection and pricing for a community of this size. Excellent produce.

Its a small town grocery store, what can you expect. Much higher prices and not much selection. Rather go to fareway in vinton.

This store serves the fine folks of Marengo well. They have a decent selection and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I like stopping in here a couple times a year when visiting relatives.

I used to always go to Walmart, but I spend LESS at Big G!

They have remodeled since the last time we were there. This is a great store in this community and has a good selection of staple items.

Bought a meal from the deli by the pops. Took to work for lunch went to microwave it and it was burnt all over the bottom. Went to big g when I got off work to return it, they said wasn't nothing they could do it was just the hard stuff from the pan. So a almost 5 dollar meal thrown away because they are cheap and lazy now that ruth is gone.

Been working there about 2 years started of at $8.50 only making $8.70
So the pay could be better but the people that work they are nice and the store is a great place

Pretty big variety of items, the store brand is pretty good and excellent meat section. They're priced a little higher than stores in bigger towns, but places like this are very convenient for small town residents and help keep the community going.

Was coming home from vacation and needed a spot to pick up the basics.

When the Digital coupons started ti was worth comming in that diden't last long now it went to pot just a few items not worth comming in anymore .

Woman at fresh meat counter had her mask below her nose, of all the places not to be mask that would be the worst. And it never ceases to amaze me, those that have the mask over their mouth but not their nose.

Great Employees has one of best meat selection as well!! Great store!!

Lots of selections to offer for a small town. Coffee from the snack bar was drinkable, but their cream dispenser was broken. Powdered creamer only offered. Would have been nice to offer cream from a carton in that case.

This is a wonderful store. The staff are always friendly and extremely helpful every time I've been here. The selection of Fresh Produce, meat and variety of items rivals larger chain stores. The owners should be commended for how well stocked the shelves are kept and on their staff. I expect a minimum of Outstanding Customer Service from all businesses. I have yet to receive nothing less than Exceptional Service here. You all deserve a giant KUDOS!

I could have swear they were bigger it loos like the store has gotten smaller of I gotten bigger.

Average prices, but great gas money savings if you've got the food to fuel card.

Great service and selection for a small town Grocery Store

The food is fresh looking in the bakery, produce and meat departments. The shelves are always full and the workers are verrrrrrrrrry helpful..

Locally owned, I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They have a very nice selection of Beer & Liquor. They have good deals on poultry and pork. Their vegetables are always fresh and it's very convenient.
