About BIBbar
BIBbar is a website to search for books in online stores like Amazon and eBay through a snapshot of the barcode using cellphone.
BIBbar is mainly customized for use in cellphones with a camera. It avoids any need for typing cumbersome long book names on cellphone and makes it easier for users to search for books anytime, anywhere.
BIBbar does not require downloading any specialized software, so it can work from any cellphone with internet or email facility (and a camera).
Most of the time when people are checking books in stores or libraries, they want to know (other) buying options immediately. Taking a snapshop of the barcode of the book with the cellphone's camera, they can now quickly and immediately search for the book available in online stores like Amazon and eBay, without any need of typing cumbersome long names on the cellphone. They can act immediately while on move before the stock is gone, bidding expires or other people take away the cheapest item.
