Not so hot on model railway materials bit sad as I was looking for a real model railway shop.

Probably one and the only RC/Model shop in Bristol. Well at least I don't know about any others. It's very well stocked so you can get probably most of the stuff you need straight away. If not I m sure you can order it. Prices are goid so not much if more expensive at all than Ebay. I will definitely come back.

Great little model shop. Loads of choice and the staff extremely helpful. Well worth a visit.

Good shop but let down by the rude younger staff member. Will use other model shops from now on.

Lots of stock and knowledgeable staff, everything from rc cars boats ,planes and helicopters. Also has a wide selection of airfix models and trains along with paraphernalia for scenery modeling. Staff can be a bit unapproachable but once they realise that you are genuine and not a time waster they are very helpful and knowledgeable! ) Prices are competitive and any that are a few percent over internet are worth it for the support and knowledge of the staff! Use them or lose them people!

Not bad got there on bus easy but was a bit disappointed in the stock in shop as nothing much there for rc plane's plus the staff were a little rude and un helpful

Good stock of models, paints and materials with helpful staff.

Do not use this hobby shop ordered online from them and paid for 24 hour delivery and then they sent it standard delivery and it took a week to arrive. They are just trying to con people out of money

Good range of stock at reasonable prices. If they don't have what you want the friendly, well informed staff are always ready to search online to see if any of their other stores can help, or order anything, providing it's still available on the manufacturers catalogue. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff with lots of bits-and-bobs for various bits of 'geekery' that might that your fancy. Pragmatic in recommending online alternatives with honest advice.

Useless sell you an RC car, then don t know what spares it needs. In fairness probably just the Person who was serving me as he didn t seem interested.

I have just returned to The RC world and needed advice twice in my first build. The staff in store were helpful and didn't make me feel like an idiot, that always helps. I also called and they were able to resolve my fault over the phone. THANKS ALL.

Not good . Model shop years ago held more then they do today

Convention location, great selection and fantastic service! When there was a problem with an item I bought they gave me a refund immediately without a quibble.

Generally a nice place good staff and good RC car repair but for model railways they almost have no n gauge and a limited selection of oo gauge

Simply outstanding. Given an old nitro car, not used for years, with no user manual, I needed advice and parts. Saturday, peak hours, and staff were happy to take the time to advise and diagnose, and oozed knowledge and passion. Couldn't recommend more.

Everything you need is here. The staff go out of their way to help. And they have a massive amount of stock.

Didn't have as much stock as I expect to see for a model shop.

My first visit here and the shop caters for many types of hobby enthusiasts. Airfix, Scalectrix, trains, RC planes, drones and cars.
I was looking for an RC buggy or truck for my son's Christmas present and I found the staff were very helpful, listening to my questions and providing useful information.

I'm not sure how they compare price-wise with other such stores, but it would be worth paying a little more, in my opinion, to know I had bought the right product.

The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that they are located just off of the main shopping area, so parking is a bit of a pain, but this is really a trivial point.

A lovely little hobby shop that one can tell is run by real enthusiasts. The staff are knowledgeable on a wide range of products and hobbies, and the store itself is well stocked with plenty of items, mostly model aircraft, trains and road vehicles, although other things are offered, such as BB guns. An excellent hobby shop for enthusiasts and beginners alike.

Great place, this model shop has a huge range of items, from cars to boats, planes and airguns to the important model trains. It's a rare treat that model shops are still around and this one was all you could ask for, if you have spare time, and fancy a small treat, go and support your local shop, it needs customers to survive, 10/10 recommend to everyone.

Have been with antics for a while now staff have been very very helpful and are first rate for ordering what I need .

Been here a few times now. Very helpful staff that took time to find the parts i needed for my rc car. Prices are reasonable and pretty much same and sometimes cheaper than prices online with the added benefit of being able to get advice at the same time. I will be returning to get some more parts to upgrade my car soon.

Great shop, staff have a wealth of exoeriance and any items not available in store can be easily obtained in a few days (or a year if its a motor shaft =]). Used regularly for my modelling needs!
Although more balsa kits wouldn't go a miss!

I have obtained quite a few models for war gaming purposes from here and check it out on occasional basises. I have obtained quite a few tanks from here ( the model kind - not the real thing I hasten to add.) To build up a representative unit for a gaming event in the midlands. Also in these posts too. I can obtain much of brushes and other materials for table top wargames. And have done so for Flames of War, Team Yankee and Bolt Action. There's other stores of Antics in Cardiff and in Gloucestershire. Plymouth is the better of the stores. But the Bristol store is one of the busiest and is the one I visit most often

Staff ignored me, no interaction. This is a generalist model shop, not specific for railway items. Didn't make a purchase.

First I heard them being sarcastic to a paying customer and then when I asked them some questions, they all scoffed/laugh under breath, maybe because they hear the same questions again and again.

They seem to be the only model shop in central Bristol, but it is no reason to have some superiority complex or just plain rudeness.

It will turn people toward online purchasing or just away from the hobbies all together.
