Best Western - Truckee Tahoe Inn Review

I really like this hotel it's very clean the beds are extremely comfortable and fluffy the pillows are awesome great restaurants nearby great customer service

Check-in/out very speedy and efficacious. Staff all-around very courteous and helpful. Elevator available.

Breakfast room well maintained, good variety of foods, coffee/tea/water available all day. Ice machines on both floors.

Beds very comfortable, high mattress may be difficult for shorter stature guests to mount. Shower pressure could have been better but similar to most hotels.

Couple of restaurants next door. Downtown walkable if a good walker and not hot out. Golf course adjacent.

Management/staff response to malfunctioning air conditioner excellent.

This is a very comfortable hotel with a great early full breakfast included.

A nice place to stay. Rooms are clean. The room I stayed a little small for two queen beds. The free, fast Wi-Fi a plus. Parking spaces are around the building. Free all-you-can-eat breakfasts can keep you come back you Best Westerns.

Friendly staff, clean rooms. Only a 5 minute drive to the heart of Truckee. Also, loved the breakfast.

This place is wonderful. I work for the federal gov and have to do a lot of traveling all over the country. That means staying in a lot of 3 star hotels and this is one of the best I have ever stayed in. A beautiful area and a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had a problem with my reservation that was my own fault and the manager Ben took care of it no problem. So many places give you a hassle about reservation problems that aren't your fault, let alone ones that are your fault. A great place, I highly recommend it!

Excellent value, especially for military personnel & retirees. Very friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast buffet one of the better ones we ve experienced. Good location, ample parking.

Stayed for a few nights in the shoulder season. Spacious and clean room. The breakfast had a good selection of both hot/cold food. Friendly service too. Overall great stay and would recommend to others.

The hotel was clean but they overbooked rooms with two double queen beds and gave me a room with a king bed instead. I didn't mind that but the second floor was closed off for renovation and they started hammering and doing other work right above my room at 8AM. This was not cool at all. The front desk just said sorry when I brought it up. The room I was in was remodeled but the shower door only opens up from the far side of the faucet handle so you get blasted with ice cold water when turning it on. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Fifty Fifty brewery and near the Truckee airport.

Location is about 30 min away from south lake tahoe and or any casinos beds were alittle uncomfortable due to feather topper that kept digging in my skin room had a faint wet smell but after awhile I either got use to it or it went away lol AC worked great staff at the front desk were very friendly and informative pool is open but hot tube is not due to covid they have a grab and go breakfast which consist of a buttito yogurt and apple or orange juice again alot is limited due to covid mask are raquired while in the hotel and pets are welcome for a fee of $30 will probably give it another try when in the area

Love this hotel. Great service, and location for walking to dinner at the brewery or grabbing a latte in the morning. I have stayed for business and personal recreation trips to the Tahoe area. Don't forget your bathing suit, the jacuzzi is large and very enjoyable.

Great hotel. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Stayed here 16 nights and slept very well everyone of them. Breakfast is standard but good and a nice variety. Location is a little far from the downtown area, 4 miles or so and they don't have a shuttle.

Great last minute accommodations even though it was pricey over the president's holiday weekend, but well worth the stay. The hotel was close to the ski resort, and the rooms were very comfortable especially the bed. My sister and family stayed at the Timber Creek Lodge in Northstar Village and their beds were very hard and paid higher prices for their rooms. The BW beds were amazingly soft and relaxing especially after a day of skiing. Will definitely go back again!

We enjoyed the stay. Pet friendly and great customer service. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Nice room, excellent breakfast and good food in walking distance

Spent a night here, there weren t a lot of guests. Brought our dog. Was surprised to find a 30 dollar fee booked on my credit card afterwards. For a total of 250 dollars for a single night, the hotel was very dated. Won t come back here any time soon, it s just not worth the money.

The location was convenient.they have a nice heated pool and a very large Jacuzzi. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend.

Nice hotel in Trukee. Basic rooms are clean and well maintained. We had a king that included a mini fridge, Microwave, and a tiny little coffee/tea maker.

The room overlooked the pool and hot tub. Hot tub was not working but pool temp was 91. Kinda crazy that they don't cover the pool at night.

Breakfast is included and is standard fare: waffles, eggs, bacon, potato, bread, cereal and coffee. The breakfast area can get crowded so good to practice your zen.

Downtown is a short drive and has a lot of nice restaurants. You can also walk across the parking lot and there a great Japanese place (drunken monkey), a bar as well as a Thai restaurant.

Nothing amazing but close to Northstar and downtown Truckee

This hotel is great. Prices are good. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was very impressive with lots of hot and cold options. Was surprised to see outdoor pool and hot tub running in the middle of winter. We'll be more prepared for that next time.!

Room was clean an comfortable, loved the heated pool and a huge hot tub! Nice area next to fire for relaxing after a day on the snow.

The beds were comfortable, other than some feathers that poked out from the down comforters. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. Decent (though not terribly exciting) free breakfast every morning. A bit disappointed that the hot tub was more of a warm tub and that the Wi-Fi was fairly slow, but overall I would say this is a pretty good place to stay either as an individual or family.

Great location for stopping from the Bay Area, especially if I80 is getting difficult to drive. This is a Plus property so its nicer than older BW places - well maintained and clean. Nice breakfast included sausages, scrambled eggs AND omelets (where can you get both?). Coffee was hot and good tasting. Plus the Tesla SuperCharger station is right in the parking lot. Didn't try the hot tub, but it's a long rectangular pool, big enough for +10 people.

I was impressed with how clean and nice everything appeared. The pools were immaculate and the perfect temperature. A man was working on the pools and told us the temperature of each. We saw a maid and asked about towels by the pool and she gave us 2 towels just to be sure.
Breakfast was one of the best for a complimentary breakfast. Waffles with a cute best Western logo.
Beds were comfortable and nice decor. I would definitely go again.

I got stuck in a storm up in Truckee where the whole town had no power for 2 days. At midnight I stumbled in and Lordis was a sweetheart. She let me check in. This lady is an angel sent from above. They didn't even mind that my dog was with me, and didn't charge additional for this. 5 stars.

Really, just sleep in your car! This BW is Ridiculously expensive, stinky & dirty. In summer, just bring a tent and go to any National Forest camp grounds. Pit toilets would be a step up from this place!

Hot tub out of order, seemed like it had been for a while. Welcoming email did not warn. Room not cleaned 1/3 of time. Generally place needs updating. Not worth price.

What a beautiful place to stay. the check-in was simple and the staff was extremely kind and friendly. I will stay here every time I visit Truckee.

Our family of 3 had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The furnishings, beds, and quality of the buildings and surroundings made for a very comfortable, quiet stay. The courtyard with heated pool in the snow and the gym were additions that took our experience up to the next level. The breakfasts were great and we were pleasantly surprised as to the value we received for the price we paid.

Quiet rooms that were clean and comfortable. Nice staff as well. There are several reasonably priced restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk.

Very clean, super comfy bed, outdoor fire place, huuuuuuge hot tub, pool, fitness center. Great deal on priceline! fridge/freezer and micro in room. Next door to great restaurants and 5 mins from northstar. Awesome!

Stayed here with my kids over holiday weekend and it did the job. Pretty clean and beds were comfortable. Included breakfast was just okay, but super crowded (they need more tables in dining room). Pool was almost as warm as jacuzzi and pretty nice. Our room smelled a little funky but we were able to air it out. Place could definitely be a little more polished for the rates, but not bad overall.

Fairly standard Best Western Plus with the enhanced breakfast to get you going in the morning. Has a decent sized pool and a Jacuzzi. Rooms were nice and comfortable but nothing really notable. Service was good and the staff helpful and polite. Wi-Fi was blazing fast.
From my stay here, this hotel greatly benefits from the neighboring establishments with both an Asian restaurant and a brewpub within walking distance. And since it is just outside of downtown Truckee, the surrounding countryside is just gorgeous. I'll return this fall sometime.

Great location just minutes from downtown Truckee. Close to ski resorts, dining, and only 20 minutes to north Lake Tahoe. Clean, comfortable, and includes breakfast.

It was great and quaint. It was very comfortable and the breakfast they have is extremely sufficient.

Easy location to get to. Room was clean. Kids loved the pool. They serve a very nice breakfast (eggs, omlets, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, waffles along with the regular stuff like cereal and toast). Enjoyed our stay.

You could see the bed bugs. I woke up with bites all over. Told the lady at the front desk Mendoza and she was no help at all. Said there was nothing she could do and it happens all the time. So gross stay away

When I return to Truckee, I already know where I'll be lodging...at the Best Western Plus, Truckee. Friendly and efficient staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast....great location. Why would I go elsewhere?

Way over priced. Staff not to friendly. Could hear/feel persons walking in hallway & rooms all around. Heater was coming out of wall & was hard to turn on. TV only had 20 channels & it was analog! Breakfast & pool were the only good in the whole place. But the hot tub was broken.
