The hotel looks very nice on the inside and catering staff were very quick with their jobs and friendly too.
The hotel looks very nice on the inside and catering staff were very quick with their jobs and friendly too.
Nice hotel but they need a good window cleaner because there is nice views of the sea just a shame you can't see it thru the dirty windows .
Fantastic hotel with sea view rooms. Dog friendly & lovely staff. Yummy breakfast & the resturant serves fab food , only let down was the vegetarian option...pasta only .
We will definitely be returning...had a wonderful weekend
Reasonable prices and great friendly staff but could rooms get very warm and the showers could do with an update. Great for work trips though. Great views of the seafront from the front facing rooms.
From out side appearance I would only give it a 1 star but once through the front door I would give it 4 stars
Good location opposite the beach with friendly and welcoming staff and members. Pool is small and cold but sauna and spa are super warm so they balance out. Over 5 years old are allowed in spa and sauna which was a bonus. Lose one star because hot water took a very long time to come out of shower. Would definitely return.
Outside not very appealing. Needs a good wash and a coat of paint. Inside. Much better .music in the lounge bar would make for a better ambience. The bath room would benefit from a more thorough cleaning , especially round the tiles and bath
THERE YESTERDAY FOR MASS SAUSAGE DOG MEET, 100S OF US, HOTEL FRIENDLY AND SO ACCOMMODATING. BEACH OPPOSITE, VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WHOLE AREA. CLEAN, SAFE AND AWESOME. BOOK A VISIT NOW !
Excellent service .And big thanks to Sam behind the bar ....great barman!
Nice hotel (Inside ) Professional service. Great place :)
We arrived after a four and a half hour journey. The reception staff were polite. Disappointed that the hotel do not offer family suites with a sea view.
Our room was so small and looked dark and dirty and it was awfully too warm. There was no temperature control which I was shocked about even a three star can have air con! I had a very young baby so was worried about the temperature of the room. I was going to call down to reception and then found the phone didn't work and said it had no battery charged! We were on the third floor so you can imagine in case of an emergent we couldn't even call down to reception. The whole night we had the window wide open with the fan on. The food at breakfast was a joke. The staff were so miserable. The room was too warm and uncomfortable to sit and enjoy your meal. The options for breakfast were pitiful. They're no vegetarian options for a hot breakfast other than hash browns and beans. The coffee was stone cold.
Attended a function and stayed overnight. Great food at dinner, tasty, hot and fresh! Excellent breakfast, loved the fresh fruit salad and the poached eggs were perfect. Room comfortable but too hot.
Had a fab time at Aberavon Hotel Santa Lunch, second time better than the first, thank you xx
Staff were very friendly, food was absolutely lovely. Swimming pool was over looked by everyone coming into the hotel so didn't want to use it and the outside of the hotel is abit of an eyesaw but other than that we had a nice stay, the room is nice too.
Lovely hotel in a great location and very reasonably priced
Lovely helpful staff, nice and clean hotel with swimming pool, in the room comfortable bed with TV and onsuit
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, tidy and comfortable.
Fantastic helpful staff in our hour of need! Upgraded to better room as they couldn't provide a twin bed with no fuss. Excellent spa facilities. Lovely sea views. Good parking with disabled access. Didn't use the restaurant on this occasion but will look forward to eating there next visit
Excellent service and the food and staff are always very good.
Hmmmm, well we won't be returning to this hotel although I must say the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had issues with our room being too hot and you couldn't open the window more than two inches. The exterior of the hotel is shocking, it looks like a prison. Could do with a spruce up to make it look more appealing.
Only went in for a pint, but the beer was good. Nice quiet bar too.
My stay at this Hotel has always been pleasant, relaxing and very enjoyable. The staff are very polite, cheerful and pleasant.
Stayed here over the Christmas period as purched an amazing wowcher deal. Couldn't fault it.. may not look great from the outside but the inside is very modern. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Food was absolutely delicious! Couldn't fault it. Look forward to returning!xx
Good quality family room, food is disappointing. Good views..
Fantastic stay at the best western hotel in port Talbot, friendly staff who made a lone female feel comfortable and the room and hotel itself were lovely
Old style but charmingly friendly. Arriving at 1.30 in the night, the receptionist attended our hungry request by preparing some sandwiches and drinks. Really helpful and kind.Location at the seaside was wonderful in an unexpected bright and sunny autumn day.
Unbelievable value for money, and caring staff. Breakfast is properly made and served, buffet available for basics too.
Safe for allergy sufferers too it seems.
Good value for money but tired in places. Food was fantastic, great choice. Room too hot & unable to adjust temperature apart from opening the window.
Had a lovely stay at the Aberavon Best Western and had some minor issues which to be honest did not effect my stay as staff, room, hotel and food were excellent.
Having said those isues, we had a lovely stay and would return.
The outside of the hotel doesn't reflect how nice the room are. Very clean & the staff were very friendly
Excellent hotel don't be put off how the outside looks
Excellent Sunday roast - I had the lamb. Accompanying veg portions too big. Our 2 could have fed 6. Lovely desserts and coffee, but advertised mints did not appear. Service very quick for starter and main, then really slow for dessert and coffee.
Very scenic views of the sea.with a short distance to the town.gym and cinema and a few optional eating places within a stone throw away
We were a party of 28 3 course meal it was a lovely meal go again
Don't be put off by the outside. The inside is nice. The staff are lovely. Breakfast really good. Rooms spotlessly clean. Plenty of sanitising stations and masks to be worn at all times while moving around the hotel. Well done to everyone at the Best Western.
you are in for a very long wait if you decide to eat in the restaurant or the bar
So run down , such a shame does not look inviting from the outside at all. Lovely staff.
There were a lot of holiday makers on a tour who all seemed to be having a great time.
As a business traveller you just get the feeling that the whole environment is kept in line with the drab 1960s exterior. Can't do anything much about the outside but it doesn't mean the interior has to be kept on theme! It's comfortable, just drab.
Perhaps the coach tour is this hotel's intended market. And it is good at that.
Drinks price on the high side could do with up dating
Was here for an event in the ballroom the event was good but prices very expensive and choice especially of beers very poor. Venue was very hot (Was in heatwave) but no fans or air conditioning made for an uncomfortable evening
Helpful staff and good looking venue
Drinks well priced for a hotel and food served hot and with great service
Pleasant stay as always helpful staff at reception. Very nice stay
Looks like a concentration camp from the outside as you arrive, but is a lovely hotel inside.
Amazing place , very dog friendly, very helpful staff . Food is amazing rooms a very big will be coming back soon
Went for a wedding. Nice enough venue. Good food and good service.
Decent beach hotel. Nice little bar, good english breakfast. The rooms are clean and modern.
A great place to stay when visiting South Wales. Lovely walk along the beach front right in front of the Hotel which made us and our Labrador most welcome.
The outside is a bit dated....inside is lovely stayed in room 202 and the bed was simply lovley and the food......was amazing plenty on the plate highly recommend
Decent hotel in a very popular location next to the beach.
Good location, neat room, comfy bed and tasty breakfast
Very pleasant staff. Room spotless and comfy. Food excellent. Would recommend this hotel.
Not the best hotel in the UK, but probably the best in Port Talbot. While it's a bit tired it's always clean. It's dog-friendly too.
