DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY.
DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY.
I usually never buy items online. However when I went in store to buy the Lenovo Yoga it was sold out and was told to buy online. So that is what I did. On delivery day I received a call from the BEST BUY deliverer (I put this in caps because the carrier was through best buy and NOT an outside carrier), and long story short our calls kept on dropping so the deliverer left me a voice mail saying she would be coming back the following day to deliver my package.
The following day was a Sunday, and after never receiving a call that Sunday, I chalked it up to "maybe the deliverer is off today and will give me a call Monday". However after looking at my emails that Monday, I saw an email from best buy delivery with a picture of my $1000 LAPTOP delivered.. and not only was it delivered after receiving a voicemail saying the deliverer would be back the following day with the package, BUT it was delivered in our OPEN MAIL ROOM. The mail room ANYONE has access to. It was literally left right in front of all of our apartment's mailboxes.. so anyone could have taken it, even the deliverer. I find it hard to believe this is Best Buy's delivery policy, ESPECIALLY when my building has a secure package room to leave packages in.. the package room is in the same area as the mailboxes so I am not quite sure how the deliverer missed it.
And to top it all off, after being back and forth with best buy on the phone since Oct 2020, I have had multiple dropped calls (pretty much any time I try calling at least one call is dropped), I have been told I would receive calls regarding the situation but never received those, and have been denied two claims.. each time on the phone they tell me to either file a police report or contact the carrier (when they were the carrier, I know this because it was confirmed to me through their customer service).. I understand the whole file a police report thing but I find it hard to believe that it is part of their delivery service policy to leave packages in OPEN areas, especially when I was left a voicemail from their worker/deliverer that they would be back the next day (clearly leading me to believe the package had not yet been delivered...and I even saved the voicemail and emailed it to best buy as proof).
And so.. when I got off the phone with them (today actually) and was told I was talking to a "supervisor" of the claims department, they left me with a phone number and website I can email to contact for further help. The phone number: Comcast Home Security Systems Customer Service ; the website: reddit.com.
Ha. ha.
Yea so don't buy from them, you'll end up getting your $1000 laptop, thats packaging says Lenovo in big letters on top, left in the general mail area.
I just want to make it clear too.. I'm an easy going person, I NEVER write bad reviews, I also NEVER write in caps ha, this just really upset me though. I can't afford to just toss away $1000 dollars, I'm a broke college grad.
