John and Nancy are just the best! The food is amazing, the small town cafe feel is so comfy and enjoyable.
John and Nancy are just the best! The food is amazing, the small town cafe feel is so comfy and enjoyable.
Great breakfast food. Generally quiet and laid-back family place.
Delicious! Didn't look like much from the outside. Almost didn't go in, but am glad we stayed. Good biscuits and gravy. Wonderful chilequileas!
My veggie omelet came out less than warm temperature but also flavorless. I kindly asked for my money back after giving the $12 omelet a try anyways and the lady that drilled me about it had to let everyone else know, told me no one has disliked the veggie omelet before, was rude, and seemed offended for some reason. She said she suggests to everyone to not change what's on the menu (I asked for the omelet without mushrooms and onions).
The pancakes, hashbrowns, and fruit were tasty! I'd probably go back if it weren't for her poor customer service.
The food is great to excellent. However we cannot fathom why they have customers order at the counter. The staff is ample for table service and frankly the counter ordering is inefficiently managed and usually quite slow. When it's crowded, confusing as well. With table service I'd add a star.
The food was okay. The bacon and toast were really thick. Two of the burritos we ordered were wrong. And no substitutions were allowed. Expensive: Bacon, eggs, toast and fruit were $17.
The hours, though brief, are a small price to pay for a quality family restaurant with a great menu for any meal of the day.
Very good breakfast place. Hash browns ere delicious.
Not bad. A bit plain take on huevos rancheros. Good french toast.
Great food and service. This place is a gem of the neighborhood.
Awsome little neighborhood restaurant. Favors are great!! Prices are good, Remember people, Something-Anything is only expensive in the absence of value, Having said that. Great value.. Aloha.
This is our favorite place to go for breakfast! Their homemade jam is amazing and the fresh baked bread is great too! Everything we've tried there is great! They do a buffet on both Mother's Day and Father's Day that includes some of their top selling items. One of my favorites is the banana foster french toast! The desserts and pastries are amazing too!
The customer service is wonderful. They are family owned and treat everyone who walks through the door like family too.
You will enjoy an excellent breakfast, brunch or sandwich here where most everything is made in house. Pastries and treats are a treasure. A friendly atmosphere and helpful staff for your enjoyment. Quiet environment permits a peaceful conversation.
Recently used Berry Sweet to cater for 200 people and the food provided was delicious. Delivered in a timely manner, hot and ready to serve. Deserts and baked goods are as good as can be found. Truely a one stop caterer.
Food is unique and very good. Not a big selection but what they have is always good.
A bit on the pricey side, but awesome food. Quality ingredients and the berries are always fresh and ripe.
I went to this place on a whim, and discovered a hidden gem. The food is beautiful and so incredibly tasty! I ordered the chilaquiles, with a green chicken chili that is just out of this world good! The cooks back there know how to do things right! All of the food is so good and reasonably priced for the amounts you get. Such a great local place. If you haven't been, you gotta go!
Everything Omelette is generally what I get every time. Though, should definitely try the Banana French Toast. So happy to have this restaurant in the neighborhood.
Great place. A little different with ordering at the counter before sitting, but the service was quick, on a Sunday even after most church services let out.
I went with a friend and had an amazing meal! Our service was excellent and the host was beautifully patient with me! I plan to return very soon!
Just amazing! Everything was beyond delicious. I can t believe this place isn t just packed all the time. Service was fast both in ordering and time in which the food arrived.
Food was delicious. Banana French toast was amazing and very different. You have to read a menu in line upon entry and then order and pay at the counter before you find a table. Then seat yourself with a number for your food to be brought out. I would prefer a traditional server at the table so that s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Felt a bit rushed and awkward. Long line at the door and very busy, at least it was on a Saturday at 11. Will return for the excellent tasting food.
Nothing special it was a good breakfast though and the wait wasn't too long either
Love it! Super friendly, super delicious, super service!
What an awesome place. Folks, don't judge a book by its cover. As you approach you may be skiddish based on the building it's in but I assure you this is a diamond in the rough. What a great breakfast. Banana french toast and house smoked bacon were the best thing ever. I cook all the time so I'm super picky and let me tell ya this dude (Blake Shelton's brother?) Can throw down. Thanks for a great memory I'll be thinking about it for a while
Beware of bakery orders. My wife ordered a special cake for my daughters Bridal shower. When she went in to pick it up on the way to the shower in Wisconsin she was told they misplaced the order but they could make it in a half hour. They put it together in half hour and charged her full price. As. Business owner I would have given her the cake or a discount for the disappointment/inconvenience. Oh well....
Food was great, I just didn't like you find your own seat, then go to the registry and pay for food.
Local breakfast and lunch spot. Portion sizes are large but not much on flavor. Owner is nice & stopped by to ask how it was. Plenty of seating.
Breakfast is phenomenal! Owners are great and the food is always top notch. Their homemade pastries are excellent as well. Highly recommend!
Amazing. One of the best breakfasts in town. Get the banana French toast.
This is one of our favorite places. We have moved but try to get here when ever we can. They make their own bread so the French toast is to die for. Everything is amazing you can go wrong!! It's a must try
Do yourself a favor and check this place out! The banana french toast is amazing and so is the in-house smoked bacon. Thanks Jon for the amazing service!
They always have fresh flowers out and the pancakes taste like they're made from a cake recipe. Amazing!
Enjoyed the Bacon waffle and Berry salad with salmon. Salad portion was very generous.
Horribly overpriced. Food brought out piecemeal and orderr wrong. Staff refused to refire and refunded money (so after long wait no food). Owner has control issues as evidenced by typewritten directions on where to stand and how to order. Many, many much better places in this city.
I had a 1 nights stay in Minneapolis, so I stopped here for breakfast. The employees/owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming us when we walked in the door, and making us feel at home during our meal. The food was very good with HUGE portions. You will defiantly be satisfied when you leave this place
The food is always great! If you have a sweet tooth, I suggest the Berry Crepes, which are made with fresh fruit and cream that will blow anything you could get at Ihop out of the park! I also suggest the Banana French Toast. The toasted Bioche bread has a hint of saltiness to it that really brings out the flavor of everything else and the caramel sauce complements it well. If you are feeling a bit savory, then you can t go wrong with an Everything Omelet.
Pretty hard to get a table here on a Sunday. I was not approached by staff to even tell me if there were tables available.
My fiance and I decided to try this place based on a Google search. This place is set up differently in that you order at a counter and then sit at a table. We ordered the French toast and the breakfast burrito.
The food came out within about 5 minutes and was cooked perfectly. It was some of the best breakfast food I have had in years! I put the homemade bacon in the breakfast burrito instead of chorizo and was incredibly impressed by the flavor and how thick cut the pieces were. The French toast was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They used a caramelized glaze instead of syrup and it was absolutely fantastic!
The owner is super friendly and amazing. This establishment support our troops and is a small cozy, down home establishment. We will be back tomorrow!
I had the banana French toast w/ bacon and fresh squeezed oj. My breakfast was delicious I'll definitely be back here when I visit minneapolis again.
The food is delicious. I recommend to friends with the caveat that the prices are high.
We went around 1:45 15 minutes before they closed. Excellent quick service, we had breakfast gotta go back for the lunch menu.
From the outside it does not look like much. You order you food at the counter and they will bring it out to you. We had their chilaquiles which were delicious! We also got their banana french toast which was amazing. Best french toast I had in a long time. Only recommendation is that the carmalize booth side of the banana pieces especially for the bigger pieces.
Great food, big portions, and good service. I highly recommend this place.
We come here for breakfast everytime we come to town! It's a delicious local gem
Dined here twice back in 2015 ( we never returned with the ridiculous nickel and diming prices and especially after the owner so rudely posted a fake review commenting on my review about our experience@ this place on TripAdvisor listed under 3 stars). This act alone speaks volumes on their business ethics.
This person actually had the audacity to write in the review that I should go through a drive thru for my meals... They wish!!! At least the Drive thru wouldn't cost us $40 for small breakfast for two... Clearly they don't realize the financial demographic neighborhood they're operating in...
Most restaurants in the area won't even deliver to the neighborhood cuz it's that bad ( short changing delivery drivers, non payment of goods) so the owner is treating every single patron as if they actually live near by...
Recently, I've spoken with out of town business clients of mine, who've recently dined here (Nov 2018) obviously the prices and attitudes of this establishment has not changed...
For folks like us who make over six figures annually, my associates and I know Wonderful eateries and independent establishments which are family owned and operated. This is NOT one of these businesses. Just read the customer posts of their negative experiences.
Be prepared to spend above average prices for average food with Huge, dismissive attitudes if you question the menu prior to ordering.
They were super friendly, kind and listened as I explained my plethora of food allergies. I had their Turkey burger and sweet potatoes. It was truly delicious.
They make their own bacon, donuts and so much more! Great food and excellent service. Can't wait to eat here again.
Seriously one of the best breakfast places I've ever been to. Don't let its looks fool you, these people can cook.
Very tasty food, laid back atmosphere, speedy and friendly service.
Not bad overall. Had breakfast, definitely get a decent amount based on price
I had tacos al pastor and they were good. I d eat here again. The other folks had some delicious looking pancakes and omelettes and a burrito bowl.
The wait was very short and the food was amazing. Wish I could have tried the brunch drinks. They looked wonderful too.
The burgers, sandwiches and banana french toast were both beautiful looking and delicious. The chocolate mousse dessert was heavenly! Everything was made with care and attention to detail - what a wonderful bakery and brunch spot!
I'm going to give this a three-star because it was Super Bowl weekend and maybe they were swamped although it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary for breakfast crowds. Also the food was very delicious. But what I have a problem with is just the way they have their restaurant set up. The woman who takes your order is extremely rude but I don't even know if it's her fault because the way they have it set up. There are literally three signs that tell you to order at the counter but when I walked up to the counter to place an order she very rudely rebuff me and sent me back in line like I was one of her students that she was lecturing. Then why do they have three signs that say to order at the counter. Very obnoxious. Also it is really irritating to have to set your own coffee. I can put up with a lot but when you were sitting down to eat breakfast and you tip appropriately the least they could do is walk around and refill your coffee cup.
This restaurant, owned and operated by John & Nancy, has become one of our favorite breakfast stops. Nancy's cooking is superb and she combines flavors in intriguing and delectable ways. Its hard to pass up their fresh -baked pastries on your way out. Their mini turtle cheesecake won us over! Friendly service, great tasting food, at a very reasonable price.
Really good food in a run down diner. If we weren't around the area, we may not consider it worth it. We were here for breakfast and options are few and it seems like they have a handful of signatures that people always go for. Probably a very cute neighborhood diner but not one I would go the distance for. Service was good.
Very good, very fast service. Food was the definition of comfort food. Easy going little area.
Best French toast I've ever had!! In addition, my group was in a hurry and the entirety of our meal and lattes came out in under 10 minutes. Will definitely return.
Pancakes were delicious. Bacon is thick and hashbrowns were yummy.
The food was fire! Chilaquiles and pancakes are amazing. It just feels healthy. Highly recommend this place.
The house smells pretty musty but the food is to die for
The everything omelet was so delicious and Banana French toast is incredible!! Gotta have that too!
One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Everything was fresh made and delicious. Friendly service.
The food was very high quality. The price and wait times somewhat matched ones expecations for that.
The food is soo good here. It's probably a tad bit expensive but for the quality it's worth it. Definately try it if you are in the area.
The only thing which might be little confusing is parking I went there recently and the road next to the place was closed due to road work of some sort so it took is some time to find the place because there were no other signs.
Amazing food, wonderful staff and service and the desserts are to die for
Food is amazing. You would never expect the quality and the wonderful way they plate their dishes. This is definitely a hidden gem that has to be visited.
The caramelized banana French toast is my favorite brunch item in the Twin Cities. Delicious food, friendly owner. Very good experience.
The staff is attentive and friendly! The food is the best of the bests.
The food was fantastic....quiet , clean , cozy atmosphere.... would recommend and will be back.
Left us in an embarrassing spot with out of town guests as they failed to update Facebook or website as promised for their Easter plans. I spoke with them three different times and they refused taking a reservation and instructed me to simply call half hour before arrival and they would be ready for us. Any further information about Easter would be posted in Facebook or their website. They were closed. Thankfully Red Stash was able to make room for my large party last minute.
Best BLT next to my wife's BLT and cheeseburger was great as well the fruit side was realy refreshing and awsome tasting verry impressed with quality of their fruit " Berry Sweet Kitchen is so properly named on berries alone. A place to crave if u ask me...Once u had it you'll want it again...thank you Berry Sweet Kitchen for another great meal...see you soon
Great variety of food, fast service friendly staff.
