After having gone through numerous recruiters and job interviews which mostly meant having to take time off from work either starting late in the morning, skipping the lunch break, or finishing early to be able to make for those interviews, was very stressful and on some occasions recruiters even set me up for interviews, which I would find out later when I reach there, are for slightly higher profiles. This was so frustrating, embarrassing and demotivating.

Fortunately, after all the above, I found the right recruiter to represent myself, Richard Erikson at Bentley Recruitment. Unlike so many other recruiters, he seemed very easy going and polite and comfortable to speak to. He initially had three interviews lined up for me based on my requirements such as location, support for my CA program, size of the firm and so forth and I did not even have to go the third interview. I was offered a position at the second one and since then I have been in this role for approximately 10 months and quite satisfied. Richard has also followed me up at regular intervals during this period regarding how I am doing and progressing in my new role and if I have any concerns. I really hope Bentley Recruitment keeps up this good work of putting little bit extra effort into getting the right interview for the right candidate unlike some other big names in the recruitment industry that appear to just line up as many candidates for a position.

This is actually the second successive time I've secured a job through Bentley Recruitment - On both occasions I experienced a distinct combination of professionalism and friendliness that can often be hard to find among the multitude of recruitment agencies around Brisbane. Richard Erikson was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

I spoke to quite a few recruiters during my latest job search - Unfortunately, I encountered a number that seemed more interested in persuading me to consider sub-optimal roles (perhaps because this would be easier to get over the line), rather than truly listening to the candidate's goals and targeting jobs with their interests at heart.
