I am not usually one to complain unless necessary, but my experience with BBA was just bad business. They had recently gone through a merger with the company I had used for my taxes previously: Todd Fisher. I was not warned ahead of time that the fee would be a steep increase; almost double what I paid before. In fact, I had received a letter announcing the merger and it specifically stated that there wouldn't be any major changes to billing rates and fee structures. So naturally, that was the expectation in sticking with them after the merger. It was very frustrating and unfortunate that they would not work with me considering the circumstances. In fact, the manager was pretty cold and unapologetic. I don't recommend them for tax purposes. The customer relations was horrible.
If you want a constant barrage of letters from the IRS, then this is the accounting firm for you. Not only did the fail to file a quarterly report for my business in 2016, they also screwed up my 2017 taxes which resulted in having to file an amended return for both my business and personal taxes. Repeated calls and emails to the firm to get these problems resolved have not even garnered a response, with the exception of when I sent a certified letter. That got me a call back from Greg Bratcher, but they still did nothing to solve my problems.
