Bengston's Pumpkin Farm Review

Parking was horrible. Way to many people there in such a small space, couldn't enjoy the attractions or the animals lines way to long. It was worse then six flags great America.

I love Bengtson's. We definitely try to go every year! My baby girl is 8 now and we've been going since she was barely 2. We always make a day of it, and do everything there is to do. The kids love it and so does my sistet and i as adults n since then the familys gotten bigger we'll have another babys 1st time this year, she just turned 1!! This year we'll be taking 4 with us

Love this place, specially the pig race, the big slide, the food, the corn maze!! But my favorite, the popcorn!! My kids love it, hopefully I can make it this year!! If you come one time, it becomes a tradition!

Great place for kids, fun never ends in this place. Love their set up Decor, friendly staff. My tradition start back in 2008 as a teacher at daycare.It was our annual field trip for Fall. In 2014 I was blessed with a little princess.I continue this Fall tradition, and keep building fun memories that will last a lifetime.

I love it here. My parents brought me here as a child growing up. Now I bring my son for the past 5 years. And now my daughter's first year. My little family can't wait to go.

I visited with my family yesterday, and it was the second time ever visiting and Bengtston's never fails. It was fun, nice and clean. The employees were all helpful, polite and in good spirits. There's plenty to do and see, you can spend an entire day here. I wanted to write this review to also give a special thanks to an employee Ms. Lisa for her help and attention at the first aid booth yesterday afternoon. My little one of 4 years old got a splinter and she was so calm and helpful in getting it out. It really gives you a piece of mind knowing that the employee's at a place where you have invested time and money in are so willing to be of assistance. Thank you so much and see you next year!

Absolutely, hands down the BEST ! Been going for years. Always something new to see. Love the pig races. The atmosphere is festive and creative. We look forward to coming back every year. Thank you Bengston family for all your hard work and keeping the tradition going!

Way too crowded!! Lines were long and there were lots of people cutting in and no employees around to monitor. We waited so long in lines that we were not able to do a lot of things. Wasn't worth the ticket price for us this time.

Great place to take your kids and family. Petting zoo is a great attraction. Camel rides and pony rides were great and food trucks have great food.

I am very in awe of this place, it is very good to spend with the family

This place is a cesspool. You want to catch COVID-19? You ve come to the right place. This place was packed with enough people to fill a football stadium and a lot of them not wearing a mask. There were lines of people crowded near each other. Nobody enforcing any protective guidelines; we had to turn around. They can say no refunds all they want I ll call the CC company and dispute it. I thought the whole point of online-only sales was to limit how many people could enter and that s totally not the case.

Absolute joke!! We went on an "unusually Busy" weekend and the lines for everything were longer then Great America in July! I paid 11 bucks a head to stand and watch the pig races and walk around. We gave up after an hour and went somewhere else that was free and more fun!! Just wondering if they would have stopped letting people in so others could have a more enjoyable experience! NEVER AGAIN!!

Our favorite fall activity by far! Love all the decorations and the family atmosphere. Kids are always super excited when October comes around for this exact opportunity. Way to go Bengston's! You Rock!

My 4yr old (3yr old at the time) LOVED this place. So many activities to keep the family interacting together and sharing smiles. One of those moments where you're having so much fun and being hands on, you forget to take pictures!!!

This is the best pumpkin farm ever! My family & I have been going for 6 years now & I'm so excited to take my one year old this year because I know he'll love it as much as we do no matter how old you are you will have fun!! So many activities to look forward to

We went there today and my 6 years old son love it .....I ask him how many stars we should give you he told me couple thousand becouse is so awesome !!!!He loves almost everything on the farm .
Can't wait to come back next year .....

We took our kids last weekend and they loved it!! It was so much fun!! Best Pumpkin farm around!! My son just loved the pig races and especially the corn box!!

We always have a wonderful time while here. My kids love the rides and there is so much to do.

Lots of great stuff for young children, about 7rides, very crowded on weekends, good service, polite workers, not cheap to get in, worth it for kids because they get rides, but most rides not adult friendly. Food pricey but similar to other amusement parks. Will go back

We loved this pumpkin patch. I wish we couldve went when it was earlier but we still enjoyed ourselves. We took our 11 month old son to this one so he could have his 1st Halloween and pumpkin patch and he seemed to enjoy it with what we could see. The only thing is we spent a lot of money, the entrance fee wasnt bad but then we spent a lot of money on food and it wasnt worth it. A dark pumpkin patch trip ended up being at least $70 . However! THOSE APPLE CIDER DONUTS ARE AMAZING! We almost didn't get them but I kept reading they were so good so we got the 6 pack and they are. I would've spent the money on just donuts

I know I'm not a kid anymore.. but 20 freakin dollars for free little kid 30 second rides?? Not only is it 20 dollar entrance fee, U pay for carrots to feed the animals, you pay for pony rides, u pay for expensive food if you're hungry, and pay for the pumpkins!! I got a small/medium size pumpkin for almost 5 dollars... you can get a big one at the super market for the same price. I thought that at least the tractor ride would give me some joy, but it's only a 4 min ride to what basically is a small circle going like 5 mph!! Lame. Couples don't go here for a date if you dont have kids. It's not worth it. Make it so they charge for kid rides if anything

There are no real bathrooms and no place to wash your hands. I am disgusted and I want to leave.

As a family of 5, we go to Bengtson's every year, and every year we fall more in love with it! It's so fun, not only for the kids, but the adults as well. Do everything they have to offer, it's completely worth the money! This year we went on a day that had a little rain, and it was 2 hours before closing. There was practically No one there, which is AWESOME for us because no long lines to wait in for rides!!! So much fun! So glad we have this family tradition!!! Thanks Bengtson's!

Awesome place for a family trip. Kids had a lot of fun especially with the animals. Apple picking was another thing we all enjoyed. Will reccomend this place to everyone

I took my family to Bengtsons for the first time last year, I hadn't been since I was a kid. It had a lot of the same features/attractions I remembered as a kid and lots of new, fun & exciting attractions my daughter and son really enjoyed. My husband and I joined in some of the fun too! We are excited to do it again this year!

We go to Bengston's every year and we always have a blast there. My kids love going on the rides and picking out their own pumpkins.

Hands down best pumpkin farm in the area! I went with my wife and 1.5 year old son last year and will be returning with my wife, now 2.5 year old son, and 4 month old daughter this year! So many cool attractions, such a big farm, great food, and seasonal delights! It's hard to fit everything into one day, so I recommend making time to go there at least twice each season.

This was awful we went on Sunday Oct 11 talk about covid spreading way to packed no limit on crowds and lots were not wearing mask had 3 grandkids with our family I was very uncomfortable,we left in Hope's no one gets sick.

I ve been going to Bengstons Pumpkin Farm every single year for years now and they never disappoint! This is the best pumpkin farm you will find in IL. Every year it gets better and better, every experience there is amazing! My favorite free event that they do every year are the pig races. The smells, the sights, and everything else is so wonderful! I love the fall/Halloween season and Bengstons Pumpkin Farm definitely gives you that experience wonderfully.

Great family fun but the place is usually busy, the kids love the piggy race. And the Pony Rides are extra so we just skipped that. Overall i recommend to check it out.

It was nice but we were very disappointed by the fact that there was not a corn maze.

We took our almost 2yr old daughter here for the first time, and she loved it!! Theres soo much to do!! Its an hours drive from where we live but its definitely worth it! We went on a saturday and and paid almost 30 for my husband and I and our daughter got in free of charge!(honestly would of paid more) I loved how it included the extra things like the train rides, the pig races, the baby animals, and so much more in the entrance fee!! Its very toddler friendly which is hard to come by now-a-days. They also have stuff for older kids like a haunted barn and the happy swing, oh and the slides! The petting zoo was an extra charge, but since went opening day I guess it was free, there were cups of carrots for $1 to feed the animals with and surprisingly my daughter had a blast! It also didnt smell!
We will be returning many more times until the last day they are open! The people are very friendly and I loved how they section the pumkins of by size so our toddler could pick all the tiny pumkins she wanted without having to climb all over the big ones!

As front desc lady says " if its your first time, I promise you will be back next year " and she was right! Its really nice place, a lot of things to do specially for kids, a lot of fun!!! The place is very clean, there a re a lot of hand washing stations where ypu can wash your hands specially after anymal patting whuch was very nice. Also, all animals very clean and the places where they are also clean. Nice and friendly staff, a lot of food even though we Didn't not try it but I can tell it looked very good and Delicious Apple cider donuts ( I triedthem ) !!! Also nice and big food court area, we had very good time with my kids today! We will def gonna come back next year!!!

It s fun during the weekday or when kids are in school. If you go on weekends expect a long wait in everything you do.
But it s a Great place and environment, I had a great time.

Bengtsons Pumkin Far is an amazing place to go have a good time with family and friends, kids will love the many things there is to do specially the petting zoo my kids had so much fun also the pony rides. The first time I visited Bengtson s Pumpkin Farm, I was 11 years old and visiting with my Girl Scout troop. I still remember the hayride to the pumpkin patch; which has since evolved to a much longer, more leisurely hayride. Now more than 15 years later, I have enjoyed visiting the farm annually with my own children. I live for the moments of pure joy my children feel while at the farm and am so blessed to have captured many of those moments in pictures. I swear you can hear the laughter coming straight out of the pictures. Bengtson s is so well kept and maintained; it offers plenty of fun for all ages and needs. The staff members are truly the cream of the crop! If you have not been, it is definitely a place you ll need to add to your list BUT BEWARE...you ll never be able to just go once. It is sure to become a family favorite and like ours, a tradition.

Way too expensive for the lack of COVID precautions. Yes there are signs and spots on the ground in random places for distancing, but there is nobody actually enforcing it. Large crowds if people bunched up, no regulation of how many people are at each attraction (petting zoo, hayrides, eating areas)

I go every year it's definitely the best pumpkin patch in the area!

Bengston's Pumpkin Farm is the BEST family fun farm. We have been going there for years and we won't go anywhere else. We are excited the 2017 season is here. We will be visiting without a doubt and we can't wait to get a hold of those fast selling Cider Donuts love the pig races I won last year.. We enjoy all the hand on, FREE rides the huge corn box the kids will love ect. Don't take my word for it come on out and experience it for yourself. You will love it. It's like Jays you can't just have one you'll be back again and again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! We went here for the first time last year when my son was 1 1/2 and he had a great time. He loved watching the pig races and riding the hayride. This is a great family friendly pumpkin patch with TONS of stuff to do. Well worth the money. Now that my daughter is born, this will be her first year going! Love starting a family tradition!!!!

Ok this was our go to pumpkin patch because of all the activities but for some reason the two times we go by kids end up with lice. I have 2 boys one with long hair one with short. Unfortunately wont be going for a 3rd time.

This place is super fun and I will for sure to be back! The admission ticket covers the vast majority of the activities which is almost unheard of for places like this. That is probably the reason they are pretty crowded... I went Sunday morning with my friends and it wasn't too bad, but once 2pm hit it got suuuper crowded. The food is surprisingly good (the pulled pork is to die for), the hot cider is the perfect thing to warm you up, and these are probably the best apple donuts I've ever had. The pig race was super fun too, I don't think I had ever seen my friends so excited!
I would recommend bringing some cash (they have an atm, but it was out of order), you'll need it to buy food to feed the animals at the petting zoo and for a few other things here and there. Nothing here is terribly expensive, which was a nice surprise. Also I was super happy because they make you exit through a gift shop and they have tons of little gourds for only $1 each so of course I got a ton because how could I not?
All in all it was a really fun day and we'll for sure be back next year!

Nice place for a family escape,my kids really enjoyed animals petting zoo but the prices are way much expensive for everything. Bring your own snack and will have a blessed time.

I can't say enough about how awesome Bengtson's Pumpkin Farm is. We had to drive an hour to get there but it was definitely worth the drive! We can't wait to come back this fall!

I've been coming here for many years with the grandchildren, very happy. They keep improving it and even when it's crowded it still is very nice. The kids love it.

If you don t believe that covid is real or don t have any consideration for others -you should definitely visit this place. This was our first time here and I was horrified. No enforcement of anything . No social distancing. 70% of people not wearing masks-even on rides where people are RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. I was stressed the entire time bc everything seemed so so so unsafe. I understand that it s outdoors, but there also doesn t seem to be any cap on the amount of people let in. It was very crowded. So unsafe. I will not be back here and am pretty disappointed in the entire experience.

The food and snacks are delicious. But those poor animals looked so depressed, being kept in such small environment.

Just left this place and probably will never go back they do not have a capacity limit and there is no social distancing what so ever! Most people don t wear mask and they don t sanitize after every use on the rides! Keep your family safe and avoid this place
