Bel Vista is one of the most outstanding

Bel Vista is one of the most outstanding
facilities not just in Long Beach but in the nation as well. Not only does it give a homey vibe but it also provides very personalized care in an intimate setting. Moreover, the staff members work hand in hand to provide a family like environment that gives exceptional care and also goes out and beyond for their residents.

Great food. Skilled dedicated nurses. Rooms with views. Garden area. Safe covid free. Smiling faces. Was a patient there 4 months. I miss the attention. I miss the physical therapy team. I miss the nutritional care. I recommend it highly for yourself or loved ones.

Bel Vista is a small facility that has gone above and beyond to care for my father. He is very happy there and is well liked by staff. Staff is very attentive and always willing to assist when I need support in any way shape or form. I would highly recommend this Home to anyone that wants quality from professionals that really care.

I was in the hospital fir 2 weeks. I had neuropathy in my feet couldn t walk and back problems. I was told that it was the only place that would take me ( COVID-19). I didn t realize it was a Skilled Nursing Facility. The CNR s that are assigned to you and 6 others are so slow if you put you re light on if you need to be changed ( I sat in my own bowel movement for an hour) or need water ( I was without water for about 1 hour) or whatever you my need. I was put there believing it was a rehab place (I was given a short rehab in my room in a wheelchair for about 15 minutes a day ( unless they decided to miss a day). After begging to leave after 6 weeks I was well enough and could use a walker and the bathroom by myself. Little did I realize it was a Skilled Nursing Facility where Covid 19 had run rappant through other facilities
Luckily one worker came to work with the the facility with the virus. They did take testing every week after that happened. I had 2 different CNR s banished from my room after horrible treatment. My 2 roommates never got out of their beds. One wouldn t eat and the other had to helped to eat. if the CNR s didn t want to sit there and feed the patient so she just feed her until she took away half the food because she didn t have time to continue feeding her.
At times I could see the CNR s sitting in chairs in the hallway. I heard people screaming for help for it seemed hours in end but probably only 1/2 hour or so. But every day I had to listen to this. So I decided to not put my light on until I had soiled my diaper 3 times. I didn t want to disturb the CNR s unless she was already in my room. Did I say they changed my meds. And every day seemed like I got them at a different time. Once they woke me at 4am to take my meds, so inexcusable. Only one nice nurse. I read the papers they gave me about the facility 3 times. I guess no one reads it. They violated it in a few points. For me they wouldn t give me over the counter meds unless the doctor approved it, I showed them in the papers that we can any OTC meds we needed. I don t know why everyone gave the place 5 stars. It was the most horrible experiences in my life. I spent my 64th birthday there crying until about 10 of the staff came in with a ballon a birthday cake they made out of donuts and whipped cream and sang happy birthday to me. I cried again but happy tears. They were nice to me after that. I finally left on July 21 and was so glad to leave. But as you see it s September 7th I m writing this. At least Medicare will pay for this. I guess they give better treatment to the people who are there permanently and I was much younger than the permanent residences. I m home I gave PTs and OC s that come to my house and I can walk in my house but not good enough To walk outside or drive. Stay away from that place if you re going to be there temporarily. I had no choice the hospital sent me there. Just go somewhere else please.

Dad is being well taken care at Bel Vista. The staff and supervision combined with activities have greatly motivated him. Staff also check on their patients every thirty minutes for any needs. Evergreen Hospice recommended Bel Vista for their five star rating.

This is the worst place ever! My mother was taken there after her hip surgery and we had 2 , 12 hour caregivers to sit with her to make sure she was being taken care of. Well our caregivers were really on top of their staff for not sticking to the schedules, pain med's etc, the staff said they were a pain in their butts and the policy says we can no longer have them there. So we took them off, 3 days later, according to their staff , my mom 81 years old with a broken hip mind you, climbed a 2 foot railing on the bed and fall out of bed and broke her other hip, really? This was 20 minutes after their staff had just came in to change my mom, humm. This place is a joke , I would not take anyone I loved their, they are the worst. I am thinking of going out front of their place and picketing and telling our story. Do yourself a favor and run from this place , run fast and run far!

This is a wonderful place! With it being a small facility, the care is very easily customized and catered to the patient much more than in other facilities. I know the staff well and would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a quick recovery but still being treated as a person with respect and love.
