Bel-Aire Auto Service

Went in for an oil change and to check a leaky brake line. Couple hours later the mechanic called and said I needed a new caliper because of a broken bleed screw. Quoted me 450 dollars for new caliper and to fix the brake line. I couldnt afford it so took it home and upon me taking the tire off and looking at the bleed screw, noticed it was freshly broken!!! They had broke the screw on it, then tried to charge me for a new caliper! Please don't go here! Dishonest and shady! If you do, double check what they say is wrong!

The guys at Bel Air are great. I've had a starting issue with my Jeep for about 2 years, taken it multiple places with no success and these guys finally diagnosed it correctly and fixed it. They even put extra gas in my car before I picked it up. I would recommend this place to anyone and will for sure be a repeat customer.

I went here for the first time for brake repair and were quoted over $1,000 in repair work claiming I needed calipers, rotors, and brake pads for front and rear. I went to another place for a second opinion and only needed brake pads replaced. Disappointed in being overcharged for unnecessary work and won t be back.

Honest, reasonably priced mechanic. We have been taking our vehicles here for at least five years, and won't go anywhere else. We have had nothing but great experiences with Adam and his crew.

I would recommend getting a second opinion. I brought my car in because I had some uneven tire wear (I neglected tire rotations... oops). Bel Air said I desperately needed an alignment, new coil springs and new struts and that it would be over $1000. I don't own an expensive vehicle, so I asked which of those I needed the most and they told me probably the alignment, but really all of it needed work. I then took my vehicle to Belle Tire on 4 mile and Alpine and they told me that my alignment was "crazy good" and that the suspension was tight and in good condition. They recommended a *free* tire rotation and that was that.

Honestly, every time we have taken our vehicle here... we get quoted a crazy amount of money and a lot of labor charges. Things seem to take all day there. We also just took our van in for a second opinion on some things they said needed fixing, and the other mechanic said those things were fine. Also, we felt like the price quoted for an alignment and to get a bent bolt out, was pretty high, so we took it elsewhere and it was half the cost of what they quoted us. We won't be going back.

They declined service after being a few minutes late. Lucas didn t have another appointment that would have been affected either. Literally 5 minutes late, smug POS lost a loyal customer.

I've been a customer for two years. I recommend this repair shop to all my friends and relatives. They are honest and fair with their pricing and repairs. If it doesn't need it, they're not going to do it. In a recent repair that I had been trying to do for a couple of weeks and had taken a 'blanket" approach of replacing old coolant hoses, I finally gave up. I was beginning to suspect a blown head gasket. Well, I should have taken it to Belair in the first place. They found a broken fitting that was spewing coolant, not an obvious fix. I suggested other things to be fixed. Adam told me that they weren't needed. Not the response you would expect, if they were only in it for the money. You can't do any better than have your vehicle fixed here.

Really arrogant and condescending. Go somewhere else if you want to be treated half way decent.

My vehicle was done on time, for the exact amount quoted. Adam was very friendly, but professional. I had forgotten to ask him to check the brakes (7 yrs and 40k miles, it was time). But he caught the problem and let me know so I could have everything done at the same time. I will be recommending Bel-Air if I hear of someone needing auto service or repairs. I am so glad to be able to spend my hard-earned money with a local business, so I know it will benefit my community.

Took van in for work on thermostat / heat sensor.. now van pulls heavily to the left and brakes are very loose. Cannot prove they did something shady 100% so I still gave them 3 stars because the heat now works in the van but I cannot, in good conscious, take any of our vehicles there again.

Wanted to charge 250 dollars just to look at vehicle and run tests this is coat before even making repairs. Went to auto care excellence in Sparta which I highly recommend and they looked at diagnosed and repaired vehicle for under 200 dollars.

When I tell you I have received the best customer service ever it is from Bel Air Auto Service. They have been servicing our cars for less than a year and they are amazing.
