The shows are always great. What isn t great is the food. The vegetables are usually flavorless and mushy. The chicken breading was equally as mushy and practically falling off. It all tastes like it s been sitting under a warmer all day. A small glass of coke no bigger than what they would put orange juice in at a diner was $4. What was equally as frustrating was being told don t forget to tip your servers. They rely heavily on your generosity. Why is it the patron s responsibility to employee your wait staff? If you cannot afford to properly pay your employees, than you shouldn t be in business.

Like I said, the shows are always fantastic. Everything else leaves much to be desired.

Have had season tickets for over 20 years. It's amazing what they can do with the size of their stage! Actors come from all over the US to work here. Variety of shows each season with a focus on musicals.
Buffet dinner is usually themed to the show although there is always beef - handcut for your preference.

We were there with family, 16 people in all, to celebrate a milestone birthday. The show Elf: the Musical, was very good. I was impressed by most of the acting, ALL of the singing, and some of the dancing. There were some really talented vocalist in the group.

The food was meh. The roast beef looked good and had good flavor but was very tough. The telapia was barely warm. The asparagus was tender and not over cooked but the streamed broccoli was mush. Over all I would give the food a C+.

The wait staff was adequate and worked efficiently but in the five or so hours we were there, I only saw one person who regularly smiled and acted like she enjoyed her job. They all seemed defeated or discouraged or something so not at all warm or friendly but still professional.

3stars seems a little generous but 2 is unquestionably low. If the food were much improved I would lean heavily toward 4stars but still mostly due to the performance.

Mamma Mia is the most recent show I saw here. Production was AMAZING. Beef and Boards is in a weird location that I always forget it s still in business, but seeing the production I know why! Very talented actors. Reason for 3 stars is the food. Not great quality or options. Amazing staff, though!! Service was great!

We saw Grease there last night. We were running late because of weather and we live over a hour away. The staff was so friendly. They offered to make us a plate so we wouldn't miss dinner. Gave us the option to move dates (seats wouldn't have been as good) but they offered. When we got there, the server was so friendly. Told us she made us a plate but we still had time to make our own. She got our drinks right away. Thank you for such friendly staff and the show was amazing! Such talented cast! We smiled the whole time we were there!

Fun dinner theater, difficult for those with wheelchairs, canes, but the staff is very willing to accommodate and assist! Good shows and an average buffet, coffee tea included, other drinks extra

A must see! Dinner and a live play! We go as a group of 4 and enjoy the plays. The buffet is served before the show and its stocked with great food and choices! Not a place for small children but they do offer special plays for them on certain dates!

we saw MAMA MIA the other afternoon and thought it was one of the finest productions of the show yet. Well worth seeing and the cast was super. You could understand their singing and hear it easily. The orchestra was also super. Don't miss this show.

We are VIP members and enjoy coming with our friends to spend a fun evening. However, the staff seems to dominate our time with constantly coming back to our table wanting to remove a plate, silverware, cup .. etc we barely started eating!!
By the end of our meal I m sooo annoyed I won t even hardly respond because I ve been interrupted so much.
The tables are way too close together when you have people that come in different sizes and don t want to give up any space.
Not sure we will be renewing after many years of coming!!

Great value. I have always enjoyed going to Beef & Boards. Last night my wife and saw West Side Story. The roast beef is always excellent; the rest of the meal was good. The show was great. Great value. An awesome Indianapolis institution.

I really enjoy this venue. The show today was Buddy Holly and it was great! Beef N Boards never disappoints. The talent they bring to their shows is top notch. I highly recommend this place for a fun day/evening out!

I absolutely loved the show! The cast was amazing! The meat was wonderful. The rest of the food seemed bland to me. When I go back I will make sure to get better seats though! We were at table for 8 & in the very back, which meant we had to look over 3 people to see the stage.

Dinner and a show at its finest in this area. First the food was buffet style, with that being said it was actually pretty good considering. The show is what really makes this place shine. I saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Every performance was top notch, even by the extras. The scenes were well made and immersive and in no way looked low budget. This is an excellent place for a date, anniversary dinner, or even a special outing for the holiday season.

Great

I've been to Beef & Boards dinner theater a handful of times in the last 25 years. The shows are pretty good. Definitely better than most high school level shows I've seen (I've seen some really great ones) but also definitely not Broadway level...pretty much what one would expect. Some have been better than others but I love theater so even not so great shows are still entertaining but at the prices B&B charge I expect them to be good. For the most part, they have been.

The buffet dinner has stayed pretty much the same over the 25 years. Salad bar, bread, sides, a couple of meat options & the roast beef carving station. Pretty standard. Alchohol and desserts are extra.

A table for two also costs extra. I'm not sue why, as the table is half the size. Since we were just 2, we had table mates. I'm an introvert, so, that's not my favorite.

My wife and I have been going to Beef and Boards for eight years enjoying the Beef and Boards Christmas show. Always fun and the food was always good. Can anyone tell me why they have decided to cancel the Beef and Boards Christmas show?
