Wow! What a GREAT library and a GREAT staff! I visited the Bedford Library today for the first time with a friend of mine. Besides LOVING this library, The staff at the Circulation Desk couldn't have been nicer. One of the librarians(I am sorry I didn't get her name), actually went above and beyond her duties and helped me out of a bad jam(the zipper on my jacket had gotten REALLY stuck and she was able to get it unstuck). I can not tell you how much I appreciated her help.

Thank you very much Bedford Circulation Staff!

Kathy

Great setup for pickup with covad-19. Order your books etc. ahead of time and pick a time slot. Those are staggered to prevent a rush all at once. People's books are put in a paper grocery bag and labeled with their name and a number and stapled and put outside on a table under the overhang in the shade for pickup. Extremely convenient!

The environment is very nice. Unfortunately, some staffs are very rude. One time, I enjoyed Mozart music on my laptop while reading a printout article for my university course. I lay my head for a moment on a desk to enjoy the music after my stressful reading moment. A staff lady knocked on the table rudely, saying 'sorry, I thought you were sleeping.' Maybe she thought that I am homeless and uses the library to sleep. Even when someone is homeless, one should not receive a very rude attitude as such. I hope one day she would learn how to be kind to people.
One time, I was about to get out because I felt my sugar blood dropped. I panicked and tried to open small chocolate (candy size) on my way out. A staff lady rudely said that I could not eat or drink in the library. When I explained that it was just chocolate, she rudely answered back. She should bother with many who brought coffee cup while reading newspaper upstairs. I did not want to bother explaining her about my sugar blood. I hope one day she would learn that keeping sugar blood is vital for anyone, especially who got diabetes. I hope one day she would learn to talk kind to people.

Great place to read, study, work. Access to any item in the Minuteman Library Network. Private study rooms available, scheduling recommended. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Can get a little rowdy with kids coming in after school.

I love how the library is spilt into the three parts of teen, children and adults. The online system is great, I love the staff and there is no age limit to get a card. Unfortunately, though, the computers in the teen s section having really laggy audio after 11 am b4 COVID-19 and the bathroom s are a bit hard to locate

As libraries go, the Bedford Free Public Library is a great local library, but it's more than that. This library is also a local history destination. Ask at the front desk, and the librarians will give you the key to the flag room. That is where our nations first battle flag is on display. This is the flag carried by the Bedford Minutemen when they fought at the North Bridge in Concord. The flag has been recently restored, and the display is very interesting and informative. Definitely worth a visit. There is plenty of parking and many fine local restaurants to stop in for a bite after viewing the flag.
