Don't buy from BIS! I bought a Jet 20 inch Planer and BIS said it would be delivered via Dayton shipping. Well when it gets to the terminal, then they decide they can't deliver it and need more money to do so. They should be up front about their shipping and as I found out they hide it. So when you decline paying more money and try to cancel, they charge you the shipping fee back even though it never reached you. Extremely disappointed in this company.

Not sure why people recommend this vendor, my first and definitely the last time shopping with them, waste of time and money. Placed one order for 2 Festool Emerald Sets (RO150+OF1400). RO150 was shipped out quickly but missing one part from the box, first time experiencing this while buying Festool stuff. No updates about OF1400 until 10 days after placing the order, I was contacted by email that it was out of stock. Turned out it was too later to order from other vendors, as the Emerald version is sold out everywhere. Had to buy regular version at the same price less the bonus accessory, but I used another vendor this time.
I am a small woodworking shop and wanted to place a large order to upgrade some of my tools. I built an order online and then they called to verify that I intended to order the items. Festool can be a bit confusing to determine what part numbers work together. They walked me through the order and there were a few mistakes . Fast shipping and well packaged.
I ordered a Jet 1221vs lathe from Beaver and had it within 48 hours. Fantastic service. Plus, they had it in stock, whereas so many that sell tools just drop ship from the manufacturer. I won t hesitate to order from them again.

I should have taken the hint when it took almost week to get a response for a invoce so i could pay them just to order the murka dustless sanding system i wanted. Then when i got it it took another week of calling customer service everyday to find out the air box they sent with it was wrong, and by the way they would never call me back with a answer i had to keep calling and dont leave a message they wont respond to that either.When they finally figured out it was wrong i was told the new one would get sent out that day.So i sent mine back and 11 days later still no new air box.So i called again they told me they would get to the bottom of itand giv me a answer that day and i said please do because nobody calls me back i keep having to call and what do you know they never called me back!!!! So now im a month now with a system i cant use so im gonna try again if i dont get a answer today im sending the whole thing back and contacting a company with better service.
Three weeks ago I did extensive research to find out what company I should purchase a JET 1632 drum sander from. With 4.7 stars I figured Beaver Industrial Supply would be great. I was wrong. I received an invoice with all of the items I ordered but when my packages arrived, over half of the order was missing and the drum sander (the biggest item I ordered) was damaged. I immediately emailed and called them leaving a voice message. I was not too frustrated yet because these things happen. The frustration came when I finally was able to get into contact with Beaver Industrial Supply a few days later. I spoke with Juan who said he would handle my matter personally. At first, I was very pleased with the customer service but then heard nothing from them for two more days. I called many times that third day, trying to get a hold of Juan to see if there was anything else he needed me to do. He eventually picked up and told me he would call me back in 10-15 minutes. I gave him 1.5 hours and called back and the office had closed early. I then called the next morning and got a hold of Juan who said he would email me three emails after the phone call to return the item and get a new one sent out, still without addressing my missing items even when I kept asking about them (I figured that would be one of the emails he would send me). The emails came 8 hours later stating that they had processed a new one to be shipped to me. It finally shipped today, 5 days later, even though I asked them to please expedite it because my job literally depends on having this machine, still with no mention of when my missing items will come. I understand these are difficult times, but I was getting frustrated being given what felt like the run around by Juan so I called normal customer service just to try to get someone to answer my questions. The only reason this is a two star review and not one is because of Maria. Maria is so kind and kept me on the phone while she looked at my order and answered all of my questions. She even told me that my items would ship when they get them in. I think that should be something that Beaver tells you when you order items that are IN STOCK because it has now been three weeks and I am extremely behind on my jobs. I would have ordered from another company had I known it would take this long. The ironic thing is that one of the main reasons I ordered from Beaver is because they said they could get it to me the fastest. I definitely will not be ordering from them again.
Great company to order tools from. I really appreciate the rapid shipping and professionalism on the phone. Their Facebook group for Festool is fantastic as well.
I ordered a lathe from them and within 2 days it had been shipped and was delivered to my door via lift gate to my door. Excellent service and fast shipping. Will do business with them again.
Called late in the day and spoke with Paul in customer service and placed my order. Asked if there was any way it would ship the same day and he said it was past the deadline but he would do his best. I received a shipping notice that evening and received my vacuum in time to start my project. Great service and the Fein Turbo 1 vacuum is exactly as expected. Quiet, compact and convenient to use.

After having ordered a back ordered item through Bob Marino, he had BIS send me one from their stock and over nighted it so I would have it in hand faster. Bob retires next week but i think BIS will provide excellent service and provide a great new source of equipment for my growing business!
I have purchased multiple festool items from BIS. One shipment had an issue that was clearly not the fault of BIS. They were initially helpful by making the shipping claim and following up with the shipping company. Instead of waiting on the shipping company that was taking a ludicrous amount of time to respond to a problem that was obviously there's, BIS sent me a replacement. I ordered some festools from here and it was going to be delivered when i wasnt home and it was a delivery that required a signature so i contacted BIS by email saying i wont be home and they happily held on to the order so it will be delivered when i am home. The service is awesome here and they get your order out and delivered quickly.

From Beaver I ordered a $2,000 machine and a $100 add-on wheeled base. NO indication from Beaver that either was unavailable. Recd the mobile base in a few days. Not the machine. I called and they said, Oh yeah, that machine is waaaaay back-ordered and you won t receive it for months, at least. I canceled order and asked how to return the $100 mobile base which was of no use since I didn t have the machine. Beavers response: it s not our problem. Even though you ordered it from Beaver, it came directly from the manufacturer, so you have to pay a $25 restocking fee and $45 shipping to return it. So Beaver screwed me out of $70. And refused to make good. Never again.
Had ordered some sand paper and one item was back ordered. Called with some questions as to an idea of when I would receive the item. Girl I spoke with on the phone was wonderfully pleasant and helpful. Great customer service, will happily do more business with this company!
Needed a new Festool orbital ASAP, and they quickly got it to me, customer service was amazing to deal with, and just had an overall phenomenal experience! I will definitely be ordering all of my festool products from them in the future!
Incorrect information given about products, in particular a Festool hat that I was told was made in the U.S.A. but was in fact made by slaves in bangladesh. I bought Festool because they were one of the few companies that were supposedly free of slave-labor.
The fact that they don't list the country of origin on everything is also very annoying. I go to great lengths to avoid supporting slavery whenever possible.
Now my most recent order I need to contact the terrible FedEx about because their tracking info shows it as delivered but I can't find it and I've had these problems before with FedEx because the driver is too lazy to deliver stuff to my door so he just ties stuff to the (OPEN) gate and I guess one of the neighbors gets it (I'm surrounded by bad neighbors). Any company who does mail order needs to offer a choice of which carrier to use, around here UPS is the only decent carrier.
Their website uses some of the new terrible software (i.e. spyware mandated by the government), so I have a hard time using it with my antique computer. Software should be getting more efficient and more secure but most new software is the opposite. I was able to accomplish far more online a decade or two ago than I am now with all of this bloatware/spyware.
And this is a paid review (I'm entering for a chance to win something, even though I've never won anything in my life), which I despise. But this is an accurate review based on my fairly limited dealings with this company (I've only placed two orders).
Update (2019-05-31): I finally received my order after many calls and many broken promises and many months of waiting, but I wasn't offered any kind of compensation for all of the frustration and waiting.
And now their website has been made even worse. I give up.
BIS was very helpful in my search for a finish sander. I looked at Festool and Mirka and decided on the Mirka because I could change the backing pads from 6 to 5 . The customer service was very helpful in helping me make my selection. The customer service made sure I had the right backing pad for the sander I selected. All my questions were answered and the next day I entered my order online and received it very quickly. The transaction was very smooth and extremely happy with my purchase and the customer support. It s rare to find a company that actually answers the phone. Great Job. I ll be back for all my tool needs and supplies.
This company does not know how to treat a customer in any way, shape or form. I can see I'm not the only one who thinks this. All I asked for was to pick up my package from a FedEx location and was simply told impossible. Not really given an actual reason given some line about fraud protection? Well you charged my account and I'd have to show id to pick up my package so I don't see the issue. I would not recommend using this company for anything. I have ordered from several different places and have never had any hassle whatsoever. Take your business to someone who deserves it... Wanted to update my review,it has been more than 2 months and I still have yet to receive my completed order, I'm quite convinced that any 5 star rating of this company is fake, very generic as far as reviews go, just purchased a Maffell saw from toolnut, night and day experience. This business has no business being a business. I most certainly feel like the 5 star ratings are to balance out the one star not a shocking tactic for this place
BIS has been nothing short of fantastic on all of my Festool orders. They are quick to answer any questions I have that it seems my orders arrive as soon as I hang up the phone! Exceptional speed and accuracy are their hallmarks. As we Italians say, "Try them, you'll like them!".
From beginning to end, an awesome experience. I decided to finally start replacing my tools with Festool. I had some issues (on my end) with the billing and bank, and after 4 phone calls, finally got my account straightened out. The cutoff for same day shipping was 1pm, and when my bank got everything right, it was 1:07. I jokingly said well, I guess I missed the same day shipping deadline, oh well to which Mike (sales) mentioned let me run back to the warehouse and see what I can do . The packages shipped same day. Will definitely be doing business with Beaver again! Thanks!
Beaver Industrial Supply is a great company. I recently purchased a Festool Kapex from them and the process couldn't have been easier. It arrived promptly and I even got a free shirt as a bonus. Highly recommend them!
I ordered something just under $1500 and a week later (after I inquired about the status) was told it was backordered for a month. No mention of backorder when I made the purchase but they collected my money anyway. When contacting them, they said their system doesn't allow refunds without "losing my place in line". That would require a $150 increase in price. Never order from them again! I should have read reviews before price shopping. Highly unethical organization. We'll see if it ever arrives.

I placed an order a month and a half ago, the website never indicated that it was a "back order", and after calling multiple times to confirm the delivery, I never received a clear answer about when I was going to receive the tool ordered. The price was not even lower than in other websites, and I just wasted a month and a half waiting for a tool that never arrived. Very poor respect for clients! My order number was 20000026133, and yes, I placed my order in your website and received promises of getting my order shipped multiple times during a month and a half !
I recently purchased roughly $10k of tools through Mike Puglisi at BIS. Despite the fact that Mike was very good at his job, very polite, informed and prompt, . . . on an order this size, you can imagine, things can go wrong. One of the major pieces (over $5K) showed up and had wear and tear from being a floor model. At this point, I was ready to go on the war path; but, to my pleasant surprise, Mike quickly coordinated with Laguna and exceeded my expectations. I received great service and support from both BIS and Laguna . . . and a t-shirt and hat to boot! Suffice it to say, due to Mike's excellent performance and Laguna's great support, I will be making all my future tool purchases from BIS.
Made a purchase with this company, but then received a phone call later stating my order was cancelled due to pricing error. Credit card had already been run! Poor experience, poor customer service.
Fantastic service. Was driving to Austin to finish a job and I had a co-workier look for a Festool ETS for us online. He found Beaver and I handed him my credit card in a couple of days, there it was, all bright and shiny new. And a great price. I will definitely order from them again.

I placed an order for a laguna 12/16 Lathe. no where on the site did it say it was on back order which is why I chose this site. I received an invoice right away but did not heard a thing after that. So I called 3 days later and they said it was on back order and they would have it in the next couple days. well it is not 11 days after purchase still have not heard anything so I called again. Says they did not receive their shipment and it should be here this week then they would have to ship it to me. the lack of communication is very disappointing. I shouldn't have to call in can to find out what is going on. if they didn't have it in stock that should have been told to me from the beginning. if there order didn't come it that should have been relaid also. very disappointment in the communication. this was my first purchase with them and will probably be my last.
These people are the best of the best - a perfect example of what a companies values should be. Their prices are very fair, but their customer service makes the experience. It is the reason I was referred to them by a friend, and the reason I keep coming back. Even when the service is awesome, buying big equipment usually results in a hassle on the shipping side. These people select their freight carriers as meticulously as they select their staff and product lines. Every delivery to date has mirrored the care that I have experienced when speaking to their staff. 10 stars and I highly recommend you give them a shot.

Disappointing sales department. After placing my order I received a notification that the tool would either ship from BIS or from the manufacturer and I would be getting a tracking number. Well nothing happened for a number of days until I contact them. Turns out they do not have the item in stock and they don't want the manufacturer to ship it, so the tool first needs to be restocked and then they ship it out. A week later they do ship it, but with that added delay it now has a Saturday delivery date when the office is closed. FedEx tells me that BIS has placed restrictions on the delivery so that the package cannot be held at a shipping center. I reached out to BIS to please release those restrictions for an earlier delivery but was told they could not do that. If I had known it would take 2 weeks to get my order I never would have gone with BIS. To summarize: if an item is out of stock, mark it as OUT OF STOCK on your website. If you realize that mistake later CONTACT THE BUYER instead of just staying quiet and finally DO NOT BLOCK FEDEX ROUTING REQUESTS.
I recently ordered a bare Festool cordless tool. They ended up not having it in stock but quickly upgraded to a package and waived my expidited shipping cost. A very stand up company. Will deal with them again when I need more supplies.

I have placed a small number of orders with Beaver Industrial, mostly on Fein equipment and accessories, Jet as well. Their website is easy to navigate, the tech staff are knowledgeable and cordial and shipping was fast as well. They also offer the most reasonable prices on Fein equipment I have seen online. I will certainly return to Beaver Industrial the next time I need to purchase power tools or accessories.

I was referred to BIS by a craftsmen who was renewing the front doors at my son s home. He had suggested a Mirka product for a project I was working on. I was really impressed by the showroom which would make any woodworker, pro or amateur like me, drool. They carry brands and products that I have never seen at home centers or Rocklers. Been trying to order replacement parts for 5 days now. Everytime I call i have to wait about 20 minutes before someone answers, then I tell them what I need, they say the have to check availability and they will call me back which they never do. I've now dealt with two different people and had the same problem, shop elsewhere.
I ordered a Festool 75 Plunge saw from a competitor who informed me that the order would take three months to ship due to it being back ordered.
I reached out to BIS and spoke with a fantastic customer service rep, Hanna, who not only made sure that they had the saw in stock but personally pulled the last saw off the shelf to make sure it would not be sold to another customer. This level of customer service is rare. I will be purchasing all my tools from BIS from now on.
