Beautiful bead store! The owner was very knowledgeable with many years experience and a joy to converse with. I can't wait to gift my friend with the unique and beautiful bracelet that was too beautiful to pass up! Looking forward to making earrings from the amethyst I found as well!

The shop is dark and needs better lighting. The owner took my friends purse and put it at the counter like he thought we would be stealing. We are both nicely dressed, we have money, drive a nice car. Both honest, working ladies. No reason to be suspicious of us. Also the restroom door was open when we arrived. We were the ONLY customers in this tiny store. My friend asked to use the restroom and he told her it was out of service and we should go to a restaurant a couple of blocks away. We left ok and will never go back.

Phil is patient, knowledgeable, and most important- has a delightful sense of humor.
The Beaded Bungalow is just that... A bungalow with seemingly every bead needed to complete a project, add-on to an old favorite, or to simply hold because it's beautiful. Take a peek. You'll be glad you did!

Unfortunately, this establishment doesn't seem to think there is a pandemic. No mask on the man (owner?) offering to help us. We were masked up, trying to stay safe. He is wanting to show us a smaller room off the side, which would be worse for social distancing. We declined and left, nor will we return.

I've had very good experiences in the past, but will be much more careful from here on. I brought a necklace in for re-stringing. I carefully chose some wooden beads and a pewter closure, all of which cost about $10.00 according to the owner. He verbally estimated that the repair would cost $50, which I thought pricey, but he'd spent about 15 minutes with me. I gave him a $25 deposit. He did not give me a written estimate. I picked up the necklace today, and he charged me an additional $71.00. When I asked why, he told me it would cover two hours of labor, plus $20.00 for materials. I paid for it, told him I was upset that it cost so much--the piece wasn't worth it. I left without a receipt.
I came back an hour later and asked for a receipt. He gave me my check back, but I refused to take it. He had, after all, done some work. He made me decide what to do, so I paid him for an hour and a half labor (51.50) and 20.00 for "parts."

If you decide to have Beaded Bungalow do your repairs, make sure you get a written estimate first. I was wrong to not have requested it, but any retailer who marks up products by an additional100% (on top of his normal retail mark-up) is wrong.
