Hip hotel, really nice. Compliment to the owners! However, anyone looking for peace on the WE, is definitely wrong place. Surfer image should be present or at least popular with the visitors.

Also experienced a wonderful weekend in Corona times. Of course, a few things stay away, because you have to keep your distance and hygiene.

We booked a so-called "beach room", which should have a sea view and therefore cost 20 more per night. Result see picture. Hence absolutely unsatisfactory.

Overall, the stay at the Beach Motel was ok. Its location is great because it is right on the dike. Behind it is the beach. Visually it is a modern, pretty and bright facility. As soon as we arrived, however, the battle for parking spaces started, because there are obviously fewer parking spaces than rooms. This aspect is worth mentioning because there is an absolute no-stopping in front of the hotel. The parking lot motto applies here: whoever comes first, paints first. At least the parking spaces for camper vans (surfers) and the electric parking spaces for electric cars (2) are original.
First downer: Since we were housed in the "adjoining building" and there is no elevator there, lugging with sacks and bags was announced, luckily only to the first floor. The dilemma also applies to cleaning staff. The rooms, on the other hand, are very attractive and originally designed. The surfboard above the bed or the pane as a bathroom wall with a view of the shower are funny details. Unfortunately, there was a lack of cupboards or storage space. Pleasing: The bed was very comfortable. Less pleasant: In the bathroom there was unfortunately a lot of smell from the drain in the sink. And the joints in the shower were moldy. On the third day of our stay, the caretaker had to use the suction cup to clear the clogged shower drain.
Let's get to the staff and service. Overall, the hotel conceptually implemented and managed the Corona hygiene rules well. In the morning for breakfast, time slots were distributed to the guests by the hour in order to master the crowd. A good idea. The tables were set far apart so that the audience did not get in each other's enclosure. At the breakfast buffet, too, everything went smoothly, as arrows and markings on the floor indicated the required distances. Wearing mouth and nose protection was mandatory anyway.
The range of food for breakfast was extremely extensive. From sausage and cheese to homemade Bircher muesli, fresh fruit and fish delicacies, everything your heart desires was there. On the other hand, the quality of the goods was partly disappointing, especially in the case of the packaged products (fish delicacies, butter), the taste of which corresponded to the discount level. Why, for example, butter is packaged at the St. Peter Ording site, a Unesco world heritage site, does not have to be understood. Ultimately, it does not correspond to the advertised eco-image.
The fact that you are no longer served from the kitchen at 9:30 p.m. in the Old Night Owls, the burger bar, even though the end of the menu is advertised for 10 p.m., is just as incomprehensible.
If everyone had been on their toes as in the adjoining restaurant Diike (stands for dyke), a lot would have been gained. Even the breakfast staff sometimes lacked personality when they still tried to explain the corona-related rules of conduct for breakfast when they registered in the morning after a week's stay.
Conclusion: All in all, we had a pleasant stay, but the bottom line was that it was not the price-performance ratio. Obviously, before the VAT cut, there had been a hidden price increase. Corona or not, but we had already experienced better quality for a much lower price for a 12-day stay than at the Beach Motel SPO, which was an overpriced pleasure.

I have to say that I can't understand all this hype. We spent a weekend in the basic room for 390. The room is small and nicely decorated, but a little Riviera Maison decor doesn't justify these overpriced prices. In the hallway someone had put down his snack pack with cutlery (there was only a mini-small cosmetic bin in the bathroom) and this booth was there all weekend and was not cleared away ....... the parking spaces were all occupied - many guests had to go to the Parking lot at the entrance to the town - since it is secluded and not guarded, we took care of a parking space alternative ourselves ..... I was twice in the wave rider in Tating and this is the absolutely better alternative for me!

I was here with colleagues for a few days in 2016 for the workshop and felt very, very (!) Well. Great ambience with nice people, the rooms are great too. By the way, got the perfect neck support pillow for me! ;-) I'll be back (also privately).

Great location, good design, uncomplicated atmosphere, nice service. Good and stylish room, you feel comfortable. Breakfast top. Restaurant (dinner) mediocre (quality so la la, service a bit too direct and pushy)

Actually a great hotel. Exactly my thing, but unacceptable is not enough mattresses for the guests to have. Forgot they have us with other comforters to inferior. Thank you for the back pain. Unfortunately it was not really clean. Many cobwebs were visible at the corners.

Great mattress. Windows cannot be tilted. Room ok. Breakfast delicious. Guests of all ages. Lots of dogs and children.

Update 08/07/2020: Despite Corona, another great vacation. Only the queuing at breakfast bothers a bit. But it's well organized. Just please, dear Beach Motel: When it says "Children under 13 do not go to the buffet", then it is enforced and the people are warned. Attached is a picture of the breakfast room during Corona time.
What has unfortunately not improved for six years is the parking situation, which is also due to the fact that some guests are so cheeky and park their cars in two parking spaces. Here, too, I would like the Beach Motel to be more effective.
All in all it was nice again and we'll be back.

It used to be much cooler in the past, even if it already had something in it. Still nice in the meantime, but somehow it's getting clear that they have nothing to do with surfing. Too bad. So I like it much better at the campsite ..

Honestly, I think nothing negative, except maybe a few parking spaces at the house and a little too soft mattresses, which is certainly a matter of taste.

Great service and all very friendly .... We were from Sunday to Thursday guest in a beach loft and had the chance to get the Jever and mini suite for 2 nights at short notice .... It's worth it all in every room category, everything is there according to taste.
We will be back .... Have already reserved for the summer holidays.

Nice and very modern hotel in direct location to the beach. Nice and clean rooms (we had a double room with balcony), delicious and large breakfast buffet. Highly recommended is also the hotel belonging restaurant "Diike" with very nice service and delicious food. Only the parking situation is sometimes a bit exhausting, because despite sufficient parking spaces, it can happen that everything is full.

My son and I were on vacation at the North Sea. In the evening we always went out to dinner. We discovered the beach restaurant dii: ke in the Beach Motel! We had dinner three times, without reservation, but always between 17:30 and 18:20. The staff made everything possible, that we could still eat, although in the evening everything was fully booked.
The food was terrific, no matter if vegan, burger, pizza or fish-everything was very original and delicious!
The staff extremely friendly and fast, the decor totally casual in the surf style!
There is always water for dogs.
Only recommended for every age group!

We were there for 3 days and are still blown away. Very sweet was the dog basket for our boxer who stood at the window with 2 cups and a small treat. Also for 2Beiner there was only good to report. Great breakfast buffet, the dii: ke was exactly our taste and the staff was so kind and nice to us and our dog that we would like to come back. The cooperation with Mini comes to us as well, as we drive both minis.

Really nice, stylish and modern hotel. We had a relaxing time in a nice and relaxed atmosphere with an always friendly and sympathetic team. Breakfast was adequate, varied and delicious. Families - and dog-friendly! Again and again, and that's for sure!

The hotel is like home. I am always happy to arrive. The informal and friendly way of dealing with guests is one of the big numbers of the house in SPO! In the breakfast area there is a very special employee (who knows who is meant) who even animates the whole room to sing on birthdays. The renovated rooms have been added through the lifting. Become very beautiful. Again and again.

The location is great and despite Corona there were hardly any complications. Unfortunately the breakfast was always the same with the three add-ons and if you stay a week it is a bit lame but in today's situation you can see it over the other. Therefor super delicious and lovingly prepared. What would make the hotel PERFECT for 5 stars would be a pool.
The SPA area is okay and sufficient when there is little activity.
Otherwise everything was great .. great people on site ... great rooms ... great beds.

We had reserved in the restaurant. The pre-ordered table was still full of dishes, but was cleared after a short time and assigned without further words. On the menu we have to wait 15 minutes. While waiting, we then took a closer look through the room and found that the few staff was completely overwhelmed. Dirty glasses, bottles, etc. were piled up in the bar area, dishes were stored next to them on free tables. Our neighbors at the next table have loudly announced that they have been waiting for orders for 20 minutes. That was enough for us and we left the place hungry

There are few "trendy" hotels in SPO, so the Beach Motel is a popular travel destination, which is reflected in the high occupancy rate.
We were there in Corona times, which resulted in some restrictions. Due to the limited seating capacity, we had to eat our second breakfast "to go" - there were no more seats in the time slot available to us. A lot of disposable materials were unfortunately used for this. The breakfast itself is of poor quality and definitely not up to the standard of a not very cheap hotel. On Sunday there was bread roll, all sausage, cheese and side dishes are of Metro quality and texture.
Our room had a view of the parking lot and, conversely, everyone who was downstairs could look into the room. Thanks to the partial glazing of the bathroom, the neighbors across the street can also look directly into the bathroom and toilet. A change of room was not possible due to full occupancy.
Due to the larger door slots, you are always well informed about events in the hallway in your room.
The service, however, is very good.
