I ve been trying to get a hold of Katy Barnet over the past 4 days. Each time i call they tell me she s not in the office. Then they ask for my bame and number and that she ll give me a callback, however she never does. I paid the application fee for a property I'm interested in but I only feel like I ve been robbed because neither did they ever tell me if I got approved or not. Terrible service and especially since I need to move in asap.

I was incredibly blessed to work with BHHS in finding our new home. It has been a true Christmas Miracle this year! How Mary Derkowski and her beautiful people at BHHS helped my family and I find a beautiful home we can call our own. In my daughter's school district. In walking distance from my job. In the center of College Station, with a price I could afford. Signed, sealed, delivered in one day, moved in three days. Honest to goodness, angels from above even helped us in so many ways... Bless their sweet hearts, y'all! BHHS is first class all the way. Top rated, above the rest in customer service, loyalty, organized, hardworking, honest, genuine, gracious and understanding, Teri Gardner is more then words can explain... The best of the best! Teri will go the extra mile for you and your family. I highly recommend BHHS to anyone looking into buying, selling or renting a home. Forever grateful, thank you BHHS!

THIS COMPANY TAKES YOUR MONEY! Worst realty company i've ever had to deal with. We paid a $1900 deposit and got back $39 even though we left a spotless house. $700 to paint when we painted before we moved out! Everything was unorganized throughout the entire year. They would call and say someone hasn't paid rent, when everyone had paid. The last month we were told 4 different amounts for our prorated rent. Please save your self the hassle and money and DO NOT go through this company.

BHHS manages our HOA. They had the foresight to begin a pool renovation the week before the pool was supposed to open, and then it took longer than they promised. To explain the problem, they blamed the delay in repair on a cold winter. Honestly, it's Texas. The could have planned ahead but couldn't bother to do so.

Really appreciate how great BHHS caliber was to lease with. I never had any issues throughout my lease getting repairs done or getting in touch with the office. The move in and move out process was easy and fair. Fair price, nice location for school, and no problems with the apartment. Will definitely be leasing through them when I move back.

We bought our house through them in 2015, JoAnn Taylor was extremely helpful. However, recently, my ex-husband used them to sell our house. The people who answered the main line were usually very helpful, but the realtors I got transferred to were very rude when I asked for information. The listing agent, Ryan Derkowski, hung up on me blaming it on the phone disconnected because it fell out of his hand.

The best experience I ve ever had with property management! The team, especially Katy B., was super helpful; always reaching out to me following any issues I can across. Their professionalism and kindness made my time as a renter truly blissful. It s always comforting to have people on your side, and this team did not disappoint!!

October 2019 - Moved in with ease! The leasing team is so kind and answered all of my silly questions. Great people who really know what they are doing! Will update if necessary. But 5/5! July 2020- when Covid first hit, the leasing team was very empathetic and worked something out with us. Any issues we have With the home, they send out maintenance immediately!!

These guys are a great rental locator for the cheaper properties in town. I helped a friend get a super cheap appartment with these guys and they've been very helpful and accommodating over the last few years.

Very nice and respectful group of people. Process was supper fast and easy. Ms. Sulyn Hale does a great job to make sure all of your concerns are taken care off.. Move in at the end of the end of the week and super excited to see how they fixed up the house. I highly satisfied with the entire process!

Very poor service. Contacted in September and no one reached back out to me. No response from the realtor Karissa. Will be calling corporate about how they conduct business. Please believe the reviews. I wish I would have looked at them before I even applied.

Disappointing quality of service. It has been extremely difficult to simply get someone added to a lease. At least a dozen phone calls and several office visits have not been productive. Would not recommend.

Drew had been an absolutely amazing agent. He helped me buy our dream house on Lake Conroe in September. It was a tough situation where the property received 4 offers on that first day and we got it! I asked Drew to show me the house late at night. Overnight, he got me a showing and drove out first thing in the morning to meet me there. If he hadn't been so responsive, I would have missed out on this amazing property. He was extremely communicative through closing. I was referred by my mother, who Drew (and his wife, have gone above and beyond for. She bought from him in the past and is going to have Drew sell another property for her. He's definitely our go-to agent!

Save yourself the hassle, and rent from a different management company. Also, if you look at their Facebook reviews most of the 5 star reviews are from employees. Their emails are unprofessional and when they answer the phone they always sound like they hate their life and you are an inconvenience to them. Their customer service skills need some improvement. I will say that Shana(I think that's her name) was always friendly when she ended up answering the phone.

This agency is one of the worst. I can not wait to move and never deal with this place and or people again. When we moved in, the house was not finished. Cans or beer, bottles of water and cans of redbull all of the place from the workers. Dust and dirt all of the place from not being finished with the house. When we did finally move in, we still had problems. Restrooms not working, there were no locks on some of the doors and the fence in the backyard was awful. Holes and missing planks everywhere. I ve been calling for months til this day to get the fence fixed and i still have not heard anything - our lease is almost up by the way. The people are rude and this is just not a business I d refer anyone to.

Terrible management company. I have had more over 15 maintenance request and they answered 3 of them. The house does not get below 78 during the summer and above 65 in the winter. The fence has been broken for months. The dishwasher has to hooked up to the sink. I would not live at 1101 glade st.

I have lived in College Station for almost ten years and leased a apartment and a townhome from Birkshire Hathaway for a couple years. The property management and maintenance was the worst experience I have ever experienced out of any of other company I have leased from. The front office is very low staffed and very unhelpful when you request anything. You will have to call multiple times to accomplish anything. If you need any maintenance done it will normally take weeks and they will not be able to tell you the day or time they are going to be able to complete your maintenance request. The maintenance is also extremely rude and bangs on your door on arrival! I highly don t recommend any fellow Aggies renting from this poor run establishment.

Stephanie is one of the most helpful leasing employees I have ever dealt with. Any time we have issues at our property, she ensures it is fixed in an appropriate time. We had an issue where our dryer died and the property owners took two weeks to get us a new one, she stayed on top of it. We had a billing issue one time and she took care of it immediately. She is a high energy person and makes the most mundane task seem good.

This company is one of the worst management companies I ve ever delt with! I just got a letter explaining that my deposit was used for them to get a cleaning service and to clean the carpets after I spent hours cleaning the unit myself and I explained that the carpet needed replacing 2-3 months before my lease was up! Don t rent anywhere that they manage all they will do is rip you off

Worst rental I've ever had. Worse landlord I've ever seen. Refused to allow federally mandated ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) modifications to the house, my wife and I are both 100% disabled military veterans. My wife was in a wheelchair, but landlord, Tasha Bienski, refused to allow us to put handrails in the house, and as a result my wife repeatedly fell in the house. The house wasn't cleaned when we moved in, there was mold in the house, landlord repeatedly refused to fix problems with the house, property flooded several times a year, and was the only house on the street to do so, as a result of inadequate drainage for the house. The fence in the backyard was rotten, and dead trees were never removed, and subsequently fell, and nearly killed our dogs. This is just the most outrageous stuff. Landlord allowed a real estate agent to enter the house without notifying us at all, and brought in a large group of people to show the house. No notice whatsoever. I would never, ever do business with this company again. I would live in a tent before renting from Tasha Bienski again.

I am writing this review under my little brother's account, since I still have to live at our current residence. We lease from BCR back in July for a house in south College Station. They showed us a house with a bigger backyard and told us a price. We agreed this would work then they came back and said that house was unavailable, but another one "just like it" was still available. Unfortunately, this "same house" came with a much tinier backyard and a price tag of $100 more per month, for the same sq. footage... Our leasing agent Alex S. didn't bother to tell us of current promotions they were running when we leased, which included money off rent, When we have had maintenance issues, he has looked for every way to get them out of paying for anything and left all responsibility on us. This morning we had a rat problem and he basically said it wasn't their problem and was very rude....Please DO NOT lease from him or BCR as they don't seem to care about their tenants only their signing bonuses....DISGUSTED....

Kaila pitts. Is a liar, horibble, rude, horrible customer service. Apparently she doesn't know how to do her job. You put money down for a home and at the end she gives it to someone else. Doesn't even let you know ahead of time. Doesn't inform you correctly, and when you ask her about it all she say....i dont know.. I didnt know. Kalila pitts is the worst leasing agent/ realtior. Horrible.

While living at the place I rented was fine and had no major issues moving out and getting my security deposit back was a different story. I moved out July 15th and only now got my security deposit back today September 2nd because of the amount of nagging and numerous emails I had to sent. Some of which Mary was extremely unprofessional in including one where I had asked if I could at least know the amount I was going to get back and she replied "Jennifer....no" like she was reprimanding a child. While I understand that the book keeper was out sick and in quarantine I moved out months before that happened and the new tenants had already moved in July 22. So my inspection was already done, all I kept being told is that there's a lot of deposits being made and thanks for my patience. I really didn't have an opinion about this company before this headache but after this I don't recommend them. The only reason I'm not giving one star is for the fact that I got my full security deposit refunded.

Mary responds more to these negative comments on here than she does to calls and emails. Oh, and don t expect to get your deposit back. After emailing and calling nonstop since moving out in JUNE, I finally got an email saying they were taking the full deposit. The repairs listed were stuff that was damaged when we moved in and noted on our move-in sheet. Also charged us for light bulbs, power washing and air filters! Calls to maintenance were never handled either. This place is a JOKE!

We moved out of our unit in June and it is now the end of August and we have not yet received our security deposit, even after numerous phone calls and promises for it to be mailed only to be told we should have contacted an overseeing property manager. We feel that it is ridiculous especially because it was told to us we would receive it no later then a month after our move out date and then being told there 'wasn't much they could do' baffles me. The lack of communication, professionalism, and respect for our time and money was not appreciated, and should not be tolerated by any past and or future paying costumers.

They were absolutely awful to my friend. Maintenance always left a mess and broke personal items while they were there. When the duplex was bought by new owners, she was forced to move out within 3 weeks despite having been a wonderful client who always paid rent on time for the last 5 years. I would NEVER rent from this company.

When my previous roommate and I were looking for a rental property, we had LOTS of restrictions and requirements that made it incredibly difficult to do on our own. We reached out to (what was then) BCR and asked for help. Within 2 hours we had a list of properties to choose from and had 3 viewings scheduled. 2 weeks later, we found the place we'd call home!! Since move-in they have responded to all my maintenance issues and have been incredibly honest with every step of the process. They work with you if you get in a financial pickle and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I've recommended their services to every friend looking for a rental house or a permanent home to buy. (I'm still a tenant and don't plan on using any other service in town again!)

ZERO STARS We rented from this company for 1 year and it was the worst experience I have had in my 5 years in College Station. Berkshire bought the house about a month before we moved in and lost all of the leases we had signed with the previous company. Several times throughout the year they messed up our rent payments and even threatened to evict us because of it. Our security deposit was promised within 1 month of the move-out date 7/25 and it was not made available until 9/10. Furthermore they deducted $1600 of miscellaneous charges from the deposit. This included $340 for carpet cleaning which we had done and supplied a receipt for. However they "lost" the receipt. Also included was $350 for a cleaning service after we spent all day to make sure we left a spotless house. We were also charged $691.39 for "Rent Loss" and no further explanation. If Berkshire wishes to rectify this situation I will gladly update my response.

Terrible experience!!! Mary and Ashley feel that it's appropriate to yell at my daughter and slander her good name. They also refused to help her after she had over three thousand dollars worth of jewelry stolen from her room while the other tenants in the apartment had a party. They do not follow procedures. We are very disappointed in this company.

I rented a property from Berkshire hathaway. Unfortunately, there was alot of trouble with the other roommates. Every time I contacted Berkshire Hathaway about the issue, they were extremely helpful. There is not a single bad thing I can say about my experience. Thank you for being a bright spot in the rather dishonest housing market in College Station.

I ve been calling for over two weeks now to get ahold of the property manager Katie, every time I call she s not available or not in . When I finally got in touch with her she promised to give me a call back on Monday and it s now the end of the week. The leasing office and property management are a joke. DO NOT RENT from Berkshire Hathaway unless you re okay with never speaking to someone that could assist you. Completely unprofessional and would rate a 0 star if that s was an option.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! We asked them for help with so many issues and they were not responsive. They only cared about getting the rent money out of us. This is the worst, most uncaring rental agency. This place has gone downhill since Danielle has left. Mary D. is the rudest human being I have ever encountered in my life. I almost felt it was racial because she never talks to my friend that I referred (Caucasian) in the manner she speaks to me. I always refer people here when looking for a place, but I will not any longer. The lady Stephanie literally told me all her business for no reason. Tmi much.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Do not expect a return on your deposit. Do not expect a walk through when moving out. Do not expect an explanation about charges accrued after move out. Do not expect communication after move out. This is a shady real estate business with shady property managers. They will take advantage of you when you move out, take your money, and then never speak to you again. Signed: A loyal renter of 2 years, a family man, a former faculty member of A&M

Don't live here! For starters, when we moved in no one told us there was a gate or gave us a gate code when we got our keys so we sat and called for 15 minutes asking for the code. Out of nowhere our sink collapsed in, broke away from the counter tops and almost completely fell through and NO ONE CAME TO FIX IT! (the pics posted are what it looked like "fixed" it was way worse). It took their offices 4 months to get back to us about it and after they saw how bad it was they said the owner wasn't going to pay to fix it. The nice maint. guy used posts to hold our sink in place...for 5 months. They still showed our apt. to rent next month after saying they weren't going to fix the sink. Overall poorly built apt. Stained cement from someone else's trash can, moldy stuff in the windows the day we moved it and uncleaned oven spray coating our oven. Poorly built. Pricey rent for cheap apartment.

I moved in shortly after being diagnosed and awarded with 100% compensation for PTSD from the VA; in other words, I am a 100% disabled vet and I showed them my paperwork stating such. A few months before my dad had been diagnosed with terminal cancer (pancreatic) and after about 8 months I decided to go home and spend his final couple of months with him, all while never missing a rent payment. My apartment got broken into and guns stolen and I still didn't blame them (don't worry, the cops caught the guy and I got my guns back). After Dad passed I decided to stay in Longview and help care for my senior citizen mother so I called to ask about breaking the lease early, which they quickly said no. A month or so later I had an emotional breakdown due to depression and stress of losing my dad. I ended up having a wreck, totalling my truck, and breaking my leg. I called and told them I was unable to walk and had no means of transportation, but my lease wasn't up for 7 more months and that I would be down there as quickly as I could, clean the place, and move my stuff out. They seemed to be ok with that. 2 months later I got a call that they were gonna clean it for me and not afford me the opportunity to do it myself (once I got out of my wheelchair) at a fraction of the cost that they ended up charging me. Rent from them at your own risk and PRAY to whatever diety you hold high that you don't have any family deaths or personal health issues or emergencies.

Incredibly difficult company to work with. Our landlord began using them halfway through our lease. Repairs habitually took several notifications, we had rental payments and deposits get lost or given to the wrong person (one of which was someone who had moved out over two years ago), and phone calls were rarely returned in a timely manner, if at all. Do not recommend.

ZERO STARS The absolute WORST rental company ever. From the moment I moved in, I had to argue with them with something that was explicitly stated that they had to do. I moved in with COCKROACHES on my floors. Ever since then, it was a MESS to get anything fixed. Now that I got my deposit back, they charged me for EVERYTHING that broke while i was renting there. So they are claiming I owe them money. THE WORST RENTAL COMPANY IN COLLEGE STATION, EVERYONE IS UNPROFESSIONAL

A review below matches my experience as well - they will deduct hundreds of dollars from your security deposit to paint "beyond normal wear and tear" even though the walls were left in pristine condition. If you rent with them, kiss your security deposit goodbye because even after weeks of waiting to hear back from them, you'll still be screwed out of money. If BCR rectifies this situation for me and my roommates, I will gladly change this review.
