As a participant in continuing education as a specialist optician, I can only warn anyone to participate in it. The potential employers are all very "interested in hiring employees" but, like a large company from Britz, they have no obligation to do so. At least not 100 pieces as announced big. Although this is constantly denied by the educational institution, but in the end you're almost "blame yourself" 5 months to take a training with an internship and afterwards not to be employed. The Britz-based company does a lot of advertising there, but in the end you're not there.
Out of 180 there are no 10 employees !!! Not 20!
The remaining Berlin companies in Berlin, who are in the opto-photonics industry in search of "skilled workers", have a wage level that can be described as "just above minimum wage".
The project manager and the location boss of the BBW in Karlshorst are already very much informed in procedures and all future decisions about the participants. Who later gets a job or who ever gets a job. But it is not said, because the course lives on participants, and we pay for it from the office. So you make sure that you continue. And of course, the education provider wants everyone to participate until the end.
The education carrier also collects data to later do something else with it !? Is it the sale to temporary employment agencies? You do not know it.

In general, the location Karlshorst is totally unsuitable. The traffic situation is catastrophic. The participants have to travel from all corners of Berlin to this "remote" location. There are hardly any good seats available, many chairs in the classrooms are determined by office closures and have spots everywhere. It stinks differently in every room, usually after sweat or after plastic floor. We sit here and sweat in class which is very good and hope that we will soon have a job soon again.
Our MFA retraining is coming to an end and we are all happy when we pass the exams. Unfortunately, the teaching material to be taught was not sufficiently taught. There was a lot of lessons, lecturers were partly listless and had no idea. We had 5 project managers in the 2 years, apparently the staff can not stay here. Some of us have changed the educational institution in between. That was a very good decision.
