Poor communication!!! Nasty Charge Nurse (Crystal...

Poor communication!!! Nasty Charge Nurse (Crystal ) I called to find out the status of my father who suffers from Parkinsons and dementia. After I was transfered to 3 people whom told me it's not their job yo help me, I was connected to Crystal who then told me she was to busy and to call back like in 20 mins...so I understood, I called back about am hour and 10 mins lare gIvins her time..she said now what was it u wanted, i forgot....I explained my father's situation and that when I called the day before and s/w the triage nurse I gave them my contact info which they never used nor was i ever called. I find out that my dad has been discharge and nobody knows where too. Last time he was there there they pushed him outside in a wheelchair with no socks, no shoes, in shorts. ( what he had on when the ambulance picked him up) and it's 37 degrees outside!!!! I was pissed. Who does that??? Kent General E.R. does... ..back to Crystal, I ask if she can let me know where they took my father she said no...well I said who was notified or who signed him out because he doesn't even know who he is...she said well if u want to know u need to start calling all the medical facilities up north and ask if he has been admitted. ..so I said do I need to put a missing person report out, u guys were the last to know where he was, she says smart well why are u calling me u need to be calling the police if u want to do that. WTD !!! all I want to know is the well being and location of my FATHER! !!! MY NAME IS IN THE CONTACT INFORMATION IN HIS MEDICAL RECORDS. .....!! THEY HAVE CALLED ME BEFORE. .JESUS CHRIST! The last 2x he has been there has been a nightmare. I respect the jobs they do but and understand to a degree why somebody might blow u off because they are busy it's the E.R. BUT..... just to be unprofessional and straight nasty. ...one word...KARMA! One day this Charge Nurse will be in my shoes and somebody will treat her just as nasty if not worse. .....wait for it...wait for it..it will happen. .But I do like to say there was one young lady that gave me her direct line....she was the most decent person I spoke with there I wish I got her name but being g transfered to everyone and they mama that said that's not my job....I didn't catch it....

Hands down, the worst aspect of living in Dover is...

Hands down, the worst aspect of living in Dover is that KGH is the only hospital option. I and my family have had to come here for multiple reasons, from radiology to ER, for almost 20 years, and I would be hard pressed to give you even one positive experience. Just this morning, here for a procedure for my wife, and we've been given incorrect information 3 times, sending us to the wrong location. Then we get sent to a waiting area by a staff member who didn't even ask our name. 15 minutes if waiting until I find someone who said they didn't even know we were here.

I can't stress this enough, the physicians in this town need to stand up for their patients and demand better, or another option!
